Good selection of sauces which they order based on spiciness level. We tried several sauces and ordered them on the side. Absolutely loved the hot honey butter, which was a delicious blend of savory, sweet, and spicy. The sweet and spicy sauce was also good, but it wasn't as unique. Soy garlic was too salty and the flavor balance was off. The chicken itself is fried very well: crispy skin and juicy meat that actually held up impressively well after a car ride home. We were happen to be in the area and wasn't planning to eat chicken for lunch but then we saw this restaurant. So we went in and gave it a try. After checking out the menu, the chicken rice bowl is what interested me and I don't see much mentioned here. We order one of each flavor (sweet & spicy and soy garlic) for my daughter and I, while my son and his dad tried the fried chickens. The highlight of the rice bowl is not the chicken, is the cold slaw, I think is the SFC mayo that made the whole bowl out of the ordinary. It is so tasty with the right balance of the mayo with the chicken and rice. And on top of that, the portion is very generous, we couldn't finish and had to pack to go. Recently came across Seoul Fried Chicken Co. and decided to give it a try since I LOVE Korean fried chicken. Got soy garlic wings, the honey garlic tater tots, and a sweet/spicy chicken sandwich. The tater tots were a huge hit for me and my other family members who tried it, super flavorful and just the right amount of sweetness! I loved both sauce flavors I had tried on the chicken sandwich and tenders/drum sticks and an excited to try out other sauces next time. My only critique would be that there were a couple of pieces of extremely hard/chewy chicken which was a bit disappointing. Overall, I loved the flavors/taste of everything and will def be returning. Visited on 7/31/22: Had this spot bookmarked on my profile for a while and was excited to try. I ordered two chicken sandwiches, one with Sweet and Spicy Sauce and the other with Soy Garlic. Each sandwich is supposed to come with pickles, SFC secret mayo sauce and lettuce, however, both of my sandwiches did not have lettuce . The actual sandwiches were just ok, which was a let down. The chicken did not have a lot of crunch to it (maybe due to the sauce softening the skin, however there wasn't a lot of sauce) and I thought the actual chicken could have used more flavor. You get the added flavor from the sauce but not much from the seasoning of the chicken. Also, was not a lot of the SFC mayo on each sandwich. The pickles were a nice touch. Loved the easy to order kiosk stations and the variety of sauces to dunk the chicken in. I liked that the chicken wasn't already sauced so that there were more ways to be creative with flavors. Ocerall, the chicken was fried well and in fresh oil so it always tasted new and juicy and delicious! I wish there was more seasoning involved. If there was no sauce, the chicken would have been bland. In my opinion, the sauce should never be the prime source of flavor, it exists just to augment or elevate the flavor. The chicken should be able to stand on its own. Luckily, the rest of the sides were full of flavor, from the sticky but satisfying garlic honey tots to the slightly spicy waffle fries. Wouldn't say that this is the best fried chicken out there, but it's unique in the halal scene anyway, and the service is quick and top notch. We saw this place a few months ago when we were down in Edison one time, and wanted to eat here, but at that time we were looking for more of an actual sit-down restaurant. The menu is limited, simple, which I do appreciate sometimes. We got the signature mix, A (3 thighs and 3 drumsticks) with hot honey butter sauce and a side. I opted to get the sauce on the side cause I wanted to see what the plain chicken itself tasted like. The chicken has that flaky coating on it, which I realized I'm personally not a huge fan of, but it was fried well, nice and crunchy. The thighs were nice and hot, they had the perfectly crispy outside, with soft, moist meat inside. The drumsticks unfortunately were lukewarm at best. The french fries, while being seasoned well in cajun seasoning and tasty, were also lukewarm and on the verge of being soggy despite the fact that we dined in. As for the sauce, I really wanted to enjoy the hot honey butter, but it turned out to be great that I didn't order it cooked with the chicken cause it was not good. It was too sweet, and hardly spicy. And while I understand it has butter in its name, it was overwhelming. It took about 10 minutes for our food to be ready, as it seemed they were busy with previous to-go orders. It was fun to look through the little notebooks they have for customers to write in on the tables, while we waited. My favorite is the snow cheese. Their chicken sandwich is also really good with your choice of sauce as well. On the sauces themselves, which is why I bought this so-called authentic Korean chicken; they were too sweet, oily, and not spicy (referring to the spicy soy sauce which had three flames next to it on the menu). I had tried this place when it first opened during the COVID era where dine-in wasn't allowed. Being a major Korean fried chicken connoisseur, I had pretty high expectations. My friends and I had all ordered takeout wings to try different flavors; at the time only one flavor was allowed per order. What I do remember is being pretty impressed by the sauce flavors; however, it lacked a bit of that classic double-fried crunch that most Korean wings have. Fast forward about two years later; I visited with some friends recently. All of them eat solely halal slaughtered meat;. They has mentioned that this place provides halal chicken, which I thought was really neat. I'm certain that halal chicken wasn't sold here when I first visited shortly after it opened. My friends called the restaurant to double-check that there were halal chicken options. The employees confirmed that there were and that the cuts of halal chicken available vary every week. For this particular week, everything besides wings and bone-in breast were halal. We came in on a weekday evening at about 7:30PM. This place closes at 8:30 every day except for Friday and Saturday. There were a good number of people eating in. They have a few tables in the seating area, similar to a fast casual restaurant. They call out orders by name/number. There were also a several people coming in and out quickly to pick up takeout orders. Takeout seems to make up a significant amount of the volume. Once we got in line, there was a good number of people that came in right after us. The employees didn't seem rushed at all, which was great. They prepare chicken orders up to the 15 min before closing. We were all impressed by the variety of sauces and combo options that they had to offer. The number of sauces, chicken types, and sides had definitely increased since my first visit. Since there were several sauces, I was overwhelmed by having to pick only one of the delicious options. After asking an employee, I was excited to find out that they can offer two sauce options on a single order with a slight up-charge. I went for the wings and drums combo, which had four wings and three drums. I opted in for the Hot Honey Butter and Korean BBQ sauces. I also went for a side of Honey Garlic Tater Tots. My friends and I sat at a medium-sized table and pulled over one extra chair. We fit comfortably in that setting. To our surprise, all of our orders were ready in less than 15 minutes. I was very excited to dig in and experience the new and expanded menu since my previous visit long ago. I was extremely impressed with the quality after only my first bite. The crunch was definitely better than what I had experienced during my first visit. The crispiness was almost perfect. The outside had a great crunch without the inside of the meat being over-fried and dehydrating the actual meat; the dehydrated overcooked meat is something that I've sadly experienced at other places before. Both sauces were flavorful and different than most I've had before. The Hot Honey Butter was sweet for sure, but the spice offset the sweetness very well. The Korean BBQ flavor combined the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and umami. The flavor had much more complexity than your average soy garlic sauce that you can get in many Korean chicken places. The Honey Garlic Tater Tots were also solid. Since there isn't much spice, the sweetness of the Honey Garlic sauce is definitely more pronounced. However, you still got a nice savory bite from the salt in the tots themselves as well as the garlic. The tots were also fried to perfection. My only critique is that I think the portion could be bigger for the price. My friends were also very impressed with their food. They had ordered everything from tenders to bone-in thigh to crispy chicken sandwiches. I don't think there was a sauce that anyone disliked outside of having our favorites. You'll be able to see the number of flavors when you go into the online ordering form. I highly suggest ordering online beforehand because the wait can be lengthy. I waited around 30-40 mins for my order after ordering in person. Everything we ordered was super tasty! The Kimchi Chili Fries are fries with a side of kimchi flavored chili. I have a good spice tolerance and did not find it even a little spicy, so fret not if that's your fear. The fries on their own were average, so I don't recommend getting them by themselves. I always love Soy Garlic, so it wasn't a surprise that I enjoyed these wings. It does get sweet after a bunch, but you can cleanse your palette with the radish that comes with it. My family and I really enjoyed this new spot in town and I love how it's conveniently located next to ranch 99, which is where I do most of my grocery shopping so I don't need to purposely make an extra trip for the food. I ordered soy garlic wings and butter garlic chicken tenders. Both were super crispy and had a nice batter to meat ratio. It stayed crispy even after a 20min ride home and the meat were very moist and juicy. My kids normally don't eat Korean fried chicken just because most of the sauces (even though it's not supposed to be spicy) has a hint of spice in it and I'm so glad they have options for sauces without any spice so my kids can also enjoy them - and they devoured the tenders in no time. I had the butter garlic sauce on the side as I didn't want to risk the tenders getting soggy by the time I get home. Half of the sauce was literally minced garlic which gave the tenders a strong garlicky taste - unlike the sauces you get elsewhere where you can hardly taste the garlic. Like others have said, the tenders were huge and we couldn't finish it. All items were well packaged and I can tell it was well thought out to maintain the chicken's crispiness as much as possible. The base of the package can absorb moisture while the lid also have holes around the sides to release the heat to prevent it becoming soggy. Obviously, getting take out is not gonna be the same as eating it fresh in house but I do appreciate their effort in trying to re-create the same experience as much as possible. All staffs were helpful and friendly. I always have issues making decisions and I never felt rushed into ordering while I was there even though they were busy.
