We found the servers to be attentive and they quickly brought more meat when we ordered it. There was a good selection of vegetables and seafood to add. I think the soup base flavors were just ok though. The restaurant is spacious and would be good for larger groups.

Came here for Father's Day for dinner. We've been here for the past 10 years or so, but this latest visit seemed to be different. All staff seemed new, so not sure if it's a change of ownership? As it's getting hot in Texas, you would think for a hot pot place, they would need to turn on the AC more to circulate the cooler air. Not here. I even asked the waitress if AC was down, and she said it's normal. She then pointed one of their many fans towards the back of me instead. Overall, the food is just ok as I thought they used to have more selections? The service was lacking enthusiasm as all of them are just there to do their work, and nothing more. We've asked for a small strainer, but the waitress didn't come back with it until end of my dinner. It was a good thing I've asked another waitress earlier. For meat, you do get to order them in advance, but few times, it would be like 15 min later. That may not seem long, but when everyone is waiting for more meat, and it's dinner time? After that, we've learned to order them before our plates are done. The whole ambiance just feels old and the place just seemed rundown. I've noted in the past reviews that their service is always lacking, so that hasn't changed. I think this maybe our last as there are too many other choices in this area.

My girlfriend and come here often and always love it. While ambiance is pretty run down, it gives homey feeling I like since I have been coming here for over 6 years. The meat comes out at a decent speed and there is assortment of toppings to get at the bar. The food is always good, and while service can't seem pretty non friendly too some people, my girlfriend loves it since she is very antisocial and they are pretty direct. Since communication is kept to minimum it feels like really nice place to eat and talk without being interrupted.

If you enjoy decent human interaction and plates removed or more meat when you run out, turn around, get back in your car, and go somewhere else. Atmosphere is drab, food options are limited, and only one set price $30. No ice cream scoops available. Overall, I wouldn't go here again.

On this cold day I wanted Hot Pot and lucked up on finding this place. It was my fiancé's first time and they explained it in detail for him which was very kind. I enjoyed the food and the price was good. I will definitely be back again to try different soups bases.

I came here ready to love this place. The idea of being able to customize my meal by picking all of the individual components and controlling the way it's cooked seemed perfect. I'm always happy to choose my own adventure! During lunch the meat selections are limited to only 4 types, so we ordered brisket, beef round and chicken breast (skipping the pork belly). However, all of the items in the self service area are still available. After loading up my silver plate with vegetables, noodles and seafood I was even more hopeful that this would be among the best meals I had ever had. But sometime between scorching my tongue on soup that was a couple degrees shy of liquid hot magma (my own fault) and biting into crawfish that was well past it's prime, I quickly realized that this wasn't the blissful experience I had anticipated. Things continued to go downhill when my spicy miso soup devolved from a mostly flavorless, yet passable, broth to a sour, dishwater-like sludge. I think the bad crawfish and poorly chosen soup base were to blame for that since everyone else at my table slurped down their soup with no complaints. Now I don't want to ignore the positive aspects of the experience because it certainly wasn't negative all-around. The dumplings and fish balls were pretty tasty. Also, the vegetable selection was abundant and everything seemed fresh. I really enjoyed trying all the different sauces as well. The dissatisfaction other reviewers have reported regarding the amount of meat they were served was not an issue for us at all. We got 6 trays of meat in total that ended up being sufficient for my family of 6. For dessert they have chocolate and vanilla ice cream, which is a nice way to help soothe those mouth burns! Oftentimes at an AYCE establishment it's difficult not to overindulge, even when the food isn't extraordinary. This was not such an occasion. At $23 per person for lunch, plus a mandatory 18% gratuity (for a server we saw twice within the first 5 minutes of being seated then once more to deliver the check) it was an expensive, barely 3 star meal.

I love the variety of meat that you can get. They were fresh, tender and sliced into thin pieces. They were easy to cook through I alsk love all the sauces that they have at the end of the table. In addition, the vegetable, mushroom and seafood are all delectable and fresh. One thing I want to mention is the attentive service the staff offered. The guy there offered me a brand new hair tie to tie my long hair back. It did help me to keep my hair away from my face and I could eat in peace. The ladies there kept taking empty plates away and asking what we wanted to order. The plates there were also cleaned not like manna. I will definitely return and have some more all-you-can-eat hot pot there.

Food was fresh, hot, and spicy. Lots of veggies and things to add to soup. LOVED it! Ambiance was nice and beautiful decor! The waitress wrote our order down in Korean. Would highly recommend and we'll be back!

My first experience with Hot Pot. Since I arrived with someone familiar with this establishment we went to the second floor. I loved the bold decor! It was a fun and great experience for me to choose the vegetables that I desired in my hot pot. Customer service was great! We were greeted and asked where we would like to right away The waitress also asked if this was our first time here. My guest did not speak loud enough so she explained the meat choices and how the food was to go in the pot. My guest piped up and insisted that she be the one to show me how to regulate the temperature for the Hot Pot. The floor, tables, plates, silverware and buffet area were clean and well maintained. I liked the fresh selection of all the items. The food cooked fast and I enjoyed the flavor. It is all you can eat (cost $26 per person). We had meat treats left over. An additional $5.95 is charged if you want to take left over trays. I would return!

The food was fantastic and Miss Sue made it extra special for our mom for Mother's Day. So glad we chose this spot and it wasn't busy at all when we walked in. Food came out fast and was delicious.

This place is worth going to. When we walked in we were greeted and given the option to eat at the restaurant which is on the first floor, or the shabu shabu all you can eat hot pot on the second floor. We chose the hot pot. Amazing selection of meats, veggies, noodles and sauces. The staff was great, they took their time to explain how to prepare and cook our food and make sure we had the best experience. The atmosphere has great music, lots and lots of table and private party rooms. The price is per person and tip is included. Many options for those who don't eat meat. Must try!

Place: The place was wonderfully have a good setup. It looks like a fine dining, because of the good lighting they have. Service: The people we met was so nice from the lady who took our order and the person who delivered our order. They were nice to check on us and see if we need anything else. We went there on the last hour, before the buffet close they approach each table to get what they want before it close. Food: The selection was pretty wide and they have lots of kind of meat you can choose on as well. The issue we encountered was the broth was salty, not quite salty but really salty for my tasting and I do love salty food but this one was a little bit far from my liking. We enjoyed everything else aside from the broth and for shabu-shabu broth is really important that is the reason I give only 3 star. For the food selection, service and pricing I will not argue that it was really good. I hope they can check their broth before they serve it and maybe they mistakenly make it salty.

Food is delicious, the cilantro banchan is my new fav side. I had the spicy stir fried beef intestines, we also had the float fried dumpings, japchae, cheese corn, beef bulgogi, some sort of spicy tofu soup- so yummy! A++ The watermelon at the end of the meal was the cherry on top!

Ask the Community - Shabro Hot Pot Shabu Shabu

Do they serve wine and beer?

Yes, they have a limited, but adequate selection. Prices are average.

Can anyone describe what the broth tastes like? I understand that there are different kinds, but I just wanna know like the general taste of them because I'm very indecisive?

I only tried two. TBH the house broth is a little bland for me and the "chinese" broth was very flavorful spices, a little spicy, but also kinda oily/greasy similar to sate oil.

Our waitress was very attentive from the beginning and offered enthusiastic recommendations. Our pork bone broth was delicious and we tried many kinds of meat and add ins, and they were great with sane portions. Didn't really feel like we missed out on anything by not buying the extra charge items and we both filled up quickly. There's little desserts at the sauce bar, and also a few things off the menu. We tried them all and found them neutral overall in flavor; nothing impressive, but still pleasant. The difficult thing about this place is the price. A few $ more than Seapot, but you also have to pay for broth, which can add up to $14 more PER broth, which is why bf and I only got one. So while I'd say this place was very good, Seapot is better value and would be my choice over this place. However, bf and I agreed that this place is definitely a better choice over Hai Di Lao.

Lee DaeGam has now become one of my favorite Korean AYCE hot pot places, and I really want to go back next time I'm in the DFW. The dinner shabu is $29.95 per person for dinner, and the dinner KBBQ is $32.95 per person; you can also do the combo for $7 more per person. You order the broth and the meats from the server. They have a wide variety of veggies, seafoods, sides, toppings, and noodles to choose from at the buffet. There's also a DIY sauce station as well as an ice cream machine. The broths and meat qualities were also really great. I went with the seafood broth, and the broth was delicious.
