We arrived at 6pm with empty stomachs, and we were not disappointed! There was a sign posted up front explaining that this was not a fast food joint, and quality food takes time. It was starting to get busy when we arrived, but took this as a good sign. We were both more than satisfied with our apps & entrees. Our server Stacey was a delight! The only annoyance was the grumpy couple next to us who got unnecessarily mouthy with the sweet server over their wait time... I'll give the most important information first because it's not on the menu or in any of the reviews so far. The wing flavors are Barbecue, Buffalo, "Cranky Mike's", Gochujang, Garlic Parmesan, and Caribbean Jerk. "What is Cranky Mike's" you ask? They let me sample it, and it's creamy and very spicy. You can get one or two flavors per order. The restaurant was really noisy, so I couldn't hear the waitress when she was telling me the flavors. She was nice enough to let me look at the list instead. It would be even nicer if they would actually put the flavors on the menu. Maybe they change up the flavors and that's why they don't. I don't know. The wings tasted like they were salted first and then sauced. That worked fine for the Caribbean Jerk, but not the barbecue. When the waitress asked me how my dinner was, I was honest with her about the barbecue wings, and she took that half off the bill. I wanted the Cowboy Burger, but there are no modifications allowed. I asked if I could have a different cheese anyway because I hate pepper jack. She asked and said they'd allow it, but when I got home I realized they charged me $1.50 for the privilege of picking my cheese. I feel like that should have been conveyed to me when I ordered. To be honest though, I wanted the Cowboy Burger so badly, that even if I had known about the charge, I would have agreed to it. The Cowboy Burger was delicious, and the waitress brought me barbecue sauce when she saw that I was disappointed with the small amount of barbecue mayo. I didn't even ask for it, she could just tell I wanted it. The Peach Bellini mocktail was ginger ale with peach flavoring and was great. I'll always pick onion rings over fries if they're an option, but their onion rings are breaded and not battered and aren't particularly special. There also aren't very many of them and cost $3 extra, so unless you're an onion ring fanatic like I am, you'll probably want to go with the fries. The meal was $36.42 after the wing discount and before tax and tip and the wait wasn't bad. read more

The food was good. However, it seems like there is a problem here with how fast the food comes out. They have signs that say it takes time for good food. I only partially believe in this statement. Half the burgers on their menu cannot be altered to help them streamline the process. With that in mind, we waited an hour and a half for our food to come out. We weren't the only ones either. Many in the restaurant were waiting a long time too. They say they have little staff and a little kitchen. My suggestion would be to reduce the size of the menu so that prep time doesn't take so long. Like I said the food was good, but not good enough for that kind of wait. read more

Great food in Sequim! Although it's been open for more than 4 years, I just this week stumbled across Shadowline Burgers and Sandwiches in Sequim. WOW! Double WOW! This place is a PNW treasure. I ordered the rib-eye French dip; my husband had the green chile Smashburger with Cheese. Both came with a large batch of skin-on freshly made French fries with house-made dipping sauce. Everything was absolutely delicious. Everything is cooked to order! Shadowline is a little hard to find -- it's on the street that runs behind Washington in downtown Sequim. But the food -- and the prices are worth the effort. It's a large pleasant place, spotlessly clean. The service is impeccable. The portions are generous -- I made three meals of my rib-eye sandwich! -- and the menu is amazing in its variety of choices. There is even a parking lot just a few feet from the door. My only complaint is that Shadowline is in Sequim rather than Port Townsend. Over the years I've posted many restaurant reviews on Yelp, Travel Advisor, Open Table, and Next Door. But never have I been more enthusiastic about a local place. Try Shadowline Burgers and Sandwiches. You will NOT be sorry. read more

Staff were friendly. Sat in the bar and was able to order quickly and got my food quickly. You cab get a basic burgers and fries for around $10. Some of their signature burgers can cost up to $20. Sweet potato fries were great. read more

Came in on a busy evening, but only waited about 10 min for a table. The bar side had a lot of open tables, but we had children with us. Recommend grabbing a table over there if the main dinning room is full and you don't have kids. Had high hopes for this place, but walked away feeling as though the food was good, but nothing to rave about with some of the other issues and the fact that it just didnt have that warm inviting feel, we found the entire experiencedisappointing. Our son ordered a burger and asked if he could add thousand island dressing to it (he wasn't ordering one of the "no substitution" burgers)...we were charged $2 for it and weren't told ahead of time. His burger was supposed to have avocado on it but the kitchen had run out...so no avo, but charged $2 for a couple tablespoons of thousands island dressing. Our other son ordered a meal and was asked if he wanted the garlic bread, as if it came with it. He said sure. There was an extra charge for it on our bill, which ended up being removed since we didn't end up receiving it. My husband is pescatarian for health reasons and had limited options (which is ok and something we expect at most restaurants...no issues there). The kitchen was out of the item he ordered, which came with a special hot sauce he was looking forward to trying. He ordered something else and asked if he could try the hot sauce. He was given maybe a teaspoon sized dab and was told if he wanted more, there would be an extra charge for it. It didn't end up meeting his expectations, so he declined. When asking for containers to bring home our leftovers, we were given small Styrofoam containers and told we'd have to pay an 8% fee if we wanted better/bigger ones (which we really didn'tcare about because we dont need anything fancy, but just another example of extra charges you may incur). Unfortunately, the entire experience was overshadowed by the nickel and diming of everything. In all the years we have dined out, we have never had an experience like this. The food is already expensive without the condiments typically available at no added charge. Even our server seemed to cringe every time she mentioned there being an extra charge, as if she was used to customers being upset about it. We didn't make a fuss because we understand it was out of her control; however, we won't be returning here. read more

If I closed my eyes and did a blind taste test, the 101 Diner and this overpriced doppelgänger would've on par with one another. The Sever started making excuses, the bartender was making cocktails , I didn't know burgers would come out that fast. That's your job as a SERVER. TO GIVE SERVICE. When I shut him down and stated about There is No Excuses. You should have known the timing, and never put the burger order in before drinks are delivered unless the customer ask. After I get my handicapped mother out of the vehicle, at 2:55 PM and we're walking up to the door, one of you employee's went to the door, looked us straight in the eye and turned off the open sign when we were 3 feet from the door. If you don't want customers in your restaurant after 3 PM then maybe you should consider closing sooner. read more

So good! Glad we stumbled upon this place. Got the garlic fries as an appetizer which were really good but super garlicky. I really enjoyed my burger too.
