When I saw the restaurant was empty, I admittedly had that momentary feeling you sometimes get walking into places later in the evening, wondering if the staff will be annoyed you're coming in close to closing or if the food quality won't be as good. My experience ended up being the complete opposite! I was immediately greeted with a friendly welcome, and the gentleman at the front took genuine care in preparing my lean protein plate. He served me fresh chicken, and the meal was delicious. More importantly, he made me feel welcome. It never felt like I was inconveniencing anyone by coming in later in the evening. Great food, great service, and exactly the kind of hospitality that keeps people coming back. I'll definitely stop in again the next time I'm in town!

The owner came out and gave us the run down, with the largest size being 1lb of meat, but the smaller two sizes did not register for me until I ordered the medium and realized it might be better to split as some then and some leftovers. The meat itself is very good and I could see myself just getting a box of the meat with no sides. The cuts are well grilled and/or fried. I wouldn't be shocked if those were the plated highlights at a higher end restaurant, so I will definitely be back for more and to try the non chicken options. The sides were nothing out of the ordinary. I did really like the Mac salad, but it was a bit heavy with all the meat I ate. The veggies and rice were standard. At about $16 or $17 per medium box this price was more than fair in my mind.. I am hoping Mo'Bettahs is in Cityscape and expands. My only recommendations which would put this below a 5 is that the signs explaining how to order were a bit unclear. The walk up side shows potential bowl combinations, and then there is another side which has the pick your owwn menu. I was a bit confused when ordering and more direct and earlier would have been helpful. I can see that being a challenge if they get busy and there a multiple new customers in line.
