I'd like to nominate myself for employee of the week. I missed training, but managed to order quickly and accurately at the kiosk. Because these are restaurant prices, I have matching expectations of not only the food but the service too. Food would be 4ish stars, but everything else is lacking. New operation but it isn't clean. Side station is a mess and so is the bathroom. I'm sensitive to staffing issues in the world right now, but they have plenty of people working for a Tuesday night at 7:00, approximately 40% full. The problem begins and ends with people management. The only "adult" is busy expediting food, leaving teenagers to interact with guests. I watched the four groups behind us get their food first before approaching the counter. I wasn't brusque, intimidating, rude, etc... I just got the dismissive, no eye contact, curt, "it's coming next." Then four teenagers got their food as I watched them scramble. Five more minutes pass and the adult turns around with our tray, says the name and, again no eye contact, acknowledgement, apology, excuse, turns back to expediting. We're missing two minor items (a condiment and a side) and I have the kitchen receipt to prove I ordered them, but I don't have the time or patience left to ask. So again I'll say...I nominate me for best employee. Food is only half of your product. Your people served food, but not this customer. The Shake Shack model works. Your people need better training. I called the store to tell them about my experience and left a rating and the only person that reached out to me was the manager Lori (not sure that's the correct spelling) whom I explained my experience, me getting sick and how I frequent this location and she not once apologized or tried to make the situation better. She had awful customer service skills, and just dismissed me to the hospitality team whom I have not heard from. I am very disappointed in her "managerial" skills. I ordered a mobile order, receive a text the order was ready, but a customer refused to leave the window and blocked all other customers from getting their order until their food was ready - over 20 minutes! Shake Shack served us cold fries, cold burgers, and totally melted custard. I understand the customer would not move from the window, but over 15 cars were stuck in the line unable to escape with the drive-up layout. The manager should have called the cops on that customer to clear the line and sent the workers outside to hand out the dinners. We paid for old food and had to wait in line again to get another custard. The workers were stressed out also. read more

While the food is tasty, the price and portion sizes are the reasons that I have to knock down two stars. I'll get the negatives out of the way first. The burgers are small, whether you get two patties or one, it's still small ESPECIALLY for a $15 price point. The shakes were small as well and the purple cow float was flat with half a scoop of custard. Using the custard vs. ice cream argument as justification for the price of those don't work when you compare to places like Andy's and Culver's. If you are paying for your order with card, you're immediately using the tablet to do all of the ordering and paying. If you're paying with cash then you go to the register to place your order. I don't have anything against ordering with a tablet but it felt like an odd choice; we also go to the counter to get our food once you receive a text that it is ready. However, when I went up the person at the counter acted is if they had no idea what I was talking about when I said I got the text that my order is ready. We've only been to one other Shake Shack location in Orlando, FL and they had much better service (even when it was a peak busy time - weekend evening in the summer); they took the time to give us food recommendations, checked in periodically to see if we needed anything during our meal, and the fries were more well seasoned. As for the positives, the burgers did taste good and the fries were hot and crispy but again, I can't justify that as enough to make me go back to this location again especially considering other very good burger places in the area. read more

You can only order from their monitors and half of them are down. Go figure. Vegetarian burger options are inadequate. Not everybody wants a giant mushroom in lieu of a burger. Just not well run or planned out. Order takes a long time. read more

Great strawberry shakes albeit a little pricey. Good beef but they cook the heck out of it. Pretty good fries. Unimpressive at best.

They are having a rough time with the volume. Be prepared to be really patient. The drive through line is app orders only which was disappointing. Would be much faster as a true drive through. When they get too busy inside they shut the app off and you are forced to park and go in to order. Food wasn't same quality as other Shacks but I think once they get it together they will be better! read more

service is always garbage, everyone seems miserable, the burgers are soggy, the fries always taste bitter like they're cooked in oil that needs to be changed (I've worked in kitchens I would know) they skimp sauce portions always and the drinks are either flat or lacking flavor (lemonade). They don't want to talk to you. They've installed a bunch touch screens so you can order your own food. It's not my job to spend five minutes trying to get a stupid order for burgers and fries into a computer. I just want to eat. Not great to share a smudgy touchscreen during a pandemic right before you eat either. I needed a gluten free bun on my order - this was not supported on the touch screen. I had to get an associate to manually enter my order in the cash line. Restaurant has all hard surfaces and is very loud inside. Drive through isn't really a drive through, it's just a mobile order pick up window. Again, they don't want to talk to the customers and it shows. This is my go to burger place. I don't eat fast food but I do love there burgers. Smashed perfectly and crispy on the outside. Rolls are nice and soft. Also love there fries because they are seasoned perfectly, crisp and hot! read more

After I ordered on their computer screen and had a problem which was possibly my fault, I say that in their behalf, I ordered again at the front. You order, pick it up, go back and ask for condiments that are not out for convenience and then clean up your own table as we do in fast food restaurants. This is a new restaurant in Alphatetta so I know it will take time to work out the kinks. My wife and I ordered two cheeseburgers, fries and strawberry shakes. We ordered on line and picked it up through the drive. The price shocked us, $36.00! The fries were cold, the milkshakes tasted like something made out of powdered milk and strawberry flavoring. One of the best customer service experiences I've had in a restaurant in many years. All the employees actually cared about their customers. I was greeted when I came in. Was asked if I needed help placing my order on there newly updated devices. I was asked if I wanted a refill beverage to go. I have been to multiple shake shack locations, and this one was by far the worst. I know this location is new, but that is no excuse for the product they gave me today. I could name 10 different hamburger restaurants in Atlanta right now that are better than this shake shack.
