Chicken Shack, ShackBurger, Fries, k-fries and strawberry shake.

4 1/2 stars. It's been a long time since I dined at Shake Shack. So I was looking forward to eating here since it's fairly nearby home. Parking is convenient since it's located at a large strip center with many food options. I downloaded the phone app and it's easy to navigate and they discount prices on fries, shakes and sodas. As for the burgers and chicken sammies, I'm a fan since they use Angus beef, potato buns and the quality of ingredients are superior compared to their competitor's. The service here is outstanding. The friendly employees follow up, offer to refill your drinks and even offer to take your trash - whether I'm dining inside or on the large community patio. I discovered that Shake Shack is opening everywhere in So. Ca so I'll definitely be returning to another Shake Shack.

Ordered a few items through DoorDash from this burger shop. They use antibiotic free chicken which I appreciate so much. We have tried cheese burger, fried chicken sandwich with lettuce wraps, chicken nuggets, onion rings and cheese fries. The food was very comforting but a bit greasy to my liking. The portions and prices were reasonable though.

Me and my pickleball buddy decides to grab lunch at shake shack of Brea to try their k-shack bbq burger. The burger joint is pretty good size, super clean, and modern. They do have restrooms, no drive thru. They shared the huge parking with all other shops at The plaza. Service is very friendly! They made suggestions of using shake shack app to get deals like $1 soft drink. They do not put soft drink fountain outside, but they come around to ask if you need refill or you can go to counter to request refills. We order two k-shack bbq burger. The tastes of ingredients are great, fresh. The k-shack bbq sauce in the burger is way too salty - it's like you add soy sauce to sesame bbq sauce. Kind of weird. (A made-to-order quarter-pound* per patty of 100% Angus beef topped with American cheese, crispy sweet onions, fresh scallions, and a savory Korean BBQ sauce on a toasted potato bun. (Contains: Milk, Egg, Wheat, Soy, ) I rate this a 3 star because of the taste is so strange. We also have bacon cheese fries (Fries: Crispy, crinkle cut fries topped with melted cheddar and American cheese and applewood-smoked ) this one is a hit; I rated the fries 4 stars plus. Overall the vibe, service and burger is good. The occasional new flavor could be a hit and miss just like K-shack bbq burger for me.

Free birthday shake! Yummy! I'm a rewards member with Shake Shake. For your birthday, you get a shake! Sweeeet! :) You can't do any of the special or limited time shakes though. It has to be the chocolate, vanilla or cookies and cream. The regular menu item shakes. All good! I grabbed a cookies and cream shake! It was delicious! For some reason, food that is free just tastes so much better! Hahaha :p Service was great! Ambiance was busy. Love this location. I'm a fan!

First time at Shake Shack. Food looked amazing on the digital menu. Lots of options almost too many. I knew it was going to be pricey. Ordered the shake burger hot cheesy fries the bbq burger with hot fires a grilled chess with regular fries. Ordered a strawberry lemonade root beer and campfire something shake. Total came out to $73. About $20 more than expected. Food was prepared quickly and delivered to us. Restaurant is clean and organized. Very disappointed in the grilled cheese. It super small. Nothing like what is shown on the digital menu. Now understand food generally does not look like what an advertisement is but this was terrible. The burgers look colder to representation. They were small but a better presentation. The taste of the burger was ok. Nothing to rave about. I will state the patties were cooked well and had good flavor on their own. The hot fries tasted like fries with powered on them. No real kick. The cheesy hot fries a little better. You get a good portion of fries. My thoughts come for the shakes. The one we got was pretty good. Good enough to come back for others to try. Over all get the shakes and maybe a side. This will cost you but not as much as a full meal you may be disappointed with.

My first time at the Brea location! I enjoy burgers from time to time and wanted something quick in between my errands. Shake Shack hit the spot. The service was great - the lady who took my order was approachable and welcoming. The ambiance was busy but not chaotic for a Saturday. I enjoyed my solo lunch and everything tasted fresh, the bun is super soft but not big enough for the patty LOL and I love that they have a simple menu with some seasonal delights. Definitely a good cheat meal for me.

This is very good SS location in Brea. Service was fast and friendly, food was served quickly and a good sized seating area was available. The Shack Burger, Cheese Fries and Chocolate Shake were all well prepared. I avoid the self ordering kiosk so I was happy that a cashier was available to accurately take my order. They were also happy to provide additional Shack Sauce.

Unsure if ownership or internal control has changed, but the quality of burgers were a bit disappointing. Before this place opened, we would visit the Shake Shacks in LA, which hit expectations every single time. However, the food we had at this location really lacked both in taste and quality, esp for the price! The burgers didn't have the usual rich umami flavors AND it was cold when it arrived to our table. You can make a better burger at home... The cheesy fries barely had cheese! Might as well have ordered plain fries. Don't think we'll be returning anytime, unless burgers match the quality they're known for. Staff was friendly, but that's all the pros they have going so far.

Chicken Shack, Parmesan Garlic Fries, Hot Dog

Shake Shack has been growing on me over time. About 10 years ago I had it for the first time in Chicago and was underwhelmed, but I periodically check in and find that food quality is high and that often I am just ordering the wrong food for my mood. Service is always prompt and polite, tables are clean, and ordering is pretty simple. On this occasion I was here to get a Chicken Shack. It was solid 4-stars, a good balance of healthy and crunchy (not too much fried breading). I do think it needs slightly more sauce than just the herb mayo and ketchup was an easy addition. I could see a bbq going well too. I did hold the pickles, but I don't think that alone would elevate to a 5-star sandwich. The hot dog is simple, add some ketchup and then any kid is happy, a consistent option. The Parmesan Garlic Fries were something that sounds delicious in theory but I found too salty from the roasted garlic Parmesan aioli dipping sauce. Garlic in the fries, easy to do and makes it smell nice. Could grated Parmesan be added on top? I would think so. But the sauce was too salty, so I instead opted for dipping in ketchup and that worked fine. Next time I'll just skip the sauce and ask for extra garlic (if possible).

605 pm, Saturday, November 08, 2025 App order executed... The estimated pick up time was 612 pm. I kept checking the app for any indication that the order was ready for pickup. I was at the Ralph's Grocery in the same shopping center picking up salad. I drove over and didn't even try parking close to Shake Shack, forget it. I parked near the bank and luckily a car was leaving. Be careful walking through the parking lot. There's no crosswalk and so you're in the drive aisle until you reach the sidewalk. I walked inside the store. They posted a sign on the entrance door warning one of the doors was broken (no door handle). I used the men's room before picking up my order. It was a clean facility. I walked back to the order counter and the female employee helped me. The order was ready and bagged. Only okay, not perfect. Why bother checking the box on the app for napkins and utensils? Or asking for sauce on the side? These minor items matter and were missed. Not a huge issue as I was asked at the counter if I wanted ketchup and napkins... I ordered the $9.99 Big Shack, and the BOGO Smoke Shacks. Ehhh, these burgers don't do it for me. The beef flavor is not there, I don't taste it.

We came for a simple dinner, and as always, everything was delicious. This time I tried the strawberry shake, but personally, I think the vanilla tastes better. As always, the restroom and interior were very clean and well kept.

We came in at luncj time. The place is busy and ordered our food thru one of the four kiosks. Got our number and waited outside. The order came, after awhile. The one who brought our food did not say anyting just drop off our food and took our number. I ordered a avocado bacon burger. It looks nothing like what is shown in the photos when I ordered. Both our bugers came in dry. Definitely did not enjoy them. Such a tiny dry burger for $11.

First of all, burger places should not make you buy a side... sides should come with the burger, especially if youre charging 16-20 dollars per burger. Potatoes arent expensive, stop price gouging customers. Second of all, upon receiving my burger I noticed that It was dripping in oil, I had to deconstruct it and dry it , my hand almost turned see through. It was literally dripping. Burger was also bland. I had to drench the burger in ketchup in order to be able to taste something. Onion rings were not any better, the crust was drenched in oil. There was so much crust and a little small sliver of onion. I could feel my arteries start clogging up after the second onion ring. The dips were bland as well. This meal left such a bad taste in our mouths. It honestly felt like someone dipped the buns in oil and that's all that I was tasting. I paid 45 dollars for 2 bland greasy burgers and a side of onion rings drenched in oil. I never write reviews but I had to after eating at this restaurant. Extremely overpriced, bland food, and greasy as well. If even one person reads this and does not give this establishment money then I will feel like I have made a difference. Spend your money elsewhere, for 45 dollars you can go to INNOUT and get so much more for way less, have enough money to buy fireworks, and still have enough money to fill up a gas tank for 4th of July. Total shame, service was really good. Ambiance was decent.

I visited Brea's Best Burgers for the first time and although I enjoyed my burger, I am disappointed by a single worker who ruined my experience. Ordering was easy with the female cashier. I didn't have to wait long for my hamburger. Once I saw it come from the back kitchen, I walked to the front window to wait for the male staff member in the middle kitchen to put it in a paper bag. While I stood at the front window, I noticed a female worker preparing either chili cheese or sweet potato fries in the back kitchen...and her colleague likely male who was standing to her left grabbed fries from the dish she was arranging. I didn't see the colleague put the fries in his mouth because by then I had to pick up my burger and the window slot doesn't allow me to see their bodies above their shoulder but the worker definitely dug his fingers into the customer's fries while the female worker didn't stop him and she continued to drizzle white sauce onto the fries. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNHYGIENIC for a worker to take a piece from a customer's order to likely consume himself. To be fair, even though I didn't watch long enough to see him put fries in his mouth, the way he put his hands on the fries didn't look like he was putting back fries that may have fallen off the plate onto their plating area, he definitely was trying to pull fries deep in the pile to get one that was drenched in sauce. I hope the owner sees this and trains staff better. I've attached a receipt for the owner to review the footage. Receipt timestamp is an hour behind... Receipt says 5:08 but my visit was 6:08. Beaides that, burger was good and I liked the char of the patty.

For some reason the refinery spend their 40 minutes cooking the hell out of my burger, and they could even put the tooth pick in the middle of my burger, like is it that hard to stab my burger in the middle. I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.
