Update: We hit up shake shake every so often as either take out or dine in as a treat and are usually not disappointed. It's one of the few burger spots we thoroughly enjoy bc of the decent sized burgers and consistency of their service and quality is the burgers. Given the current circumstances, we ordered 2 single shack burgers, cheese fries and plain fries on our phones and our order was immediately completed! Nice, right? Well, unfortunately not this time bc although one burger was cooked fine, the other was rather raw (see pic). I didn't know about the raw one until I started eating it and wondered "why kind of mushy chewy?" Anyway, I ended up having to nuke it for a bit to get some of the redness and red juice out before I could continue eating it. I would've been ok waiting a little longer for my review to have it cooked more through it. Just for this , I had to drop it a star in my review. This is my favorite shake shack. The service is always impeccable and the staff is extremely friendly. My wife and I took our in-laws out for lunch and although it wasn't as busy the service was great. The food as always was made to order and came out hot so we couldn't complain and ask for anything better. It is centralized in a great location which makes it easier for us to go have lunch and then shop around. We are looking forward to coming back in the near future. read more

Never disappoints! My favorite thing on the menu is just a shackburger. Simple but delicious! You can tell the burger is made to order using fresh ingredients. My boyfriend ordered the chicken sandwich which was great as well, and we shared fries. The only aspect of dinner that wasn't perfect was the fact that the restaurant was crowded and it was difficult to find a seat, some people were standing. Definitely my favorite fast food place on the east coast. I'm usually not a big fan of fast food, but I don't mind grabbing a quick bite at shake shack. I've tried the cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, mushroom burger, original french fries, cheese fries, and black and white shake. I really like the crispiness of the chicken, and it is flavored very nicely. The mushroom burger is very interesting because the cheese is stuffed inside the mushroom and oozes out when you bite into it! Although the burger isn't extremely large, I feel like it is a decent size (especially if you decide to order fries or a shake on the size). The original fries are tasty! However, when I tried the cheese fries, the cheese was quite plain and it made the fries extremely soggy. The shakes are super yummy and quite thick, so it's actually easier to eat the shake with a spoon than slurp it through the straw. The Shake Shack is conveniently located at the Village next to Bridgewater mall, which a really cute complex of stores that they built to create a city street style. There is a lot of seating inside, but it gets crowded during peak hours so you may find yourself sitting outside on a bench or borrowing a table from Starbucks. read more

I was really excited that try Shake Shack since I've heard it was similar to In and Out. I was disappointed in the burger. It was ok not bad but not In and Out great. However the chicken sandwich was amazing. I loved how crunchy the batter was on the chicken. The herb mayo is really good too. The french fries are good nothing really different than any other crinkle fry I've had. I love custard and the shakes are made with custard and are amazing. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back or stand in a line for the food. However if in the area I would go for a chicken sandwich or a shake. read more

First I want to say thank you for the shack for being open during carona time. I first called because their app wasn't working and the manager was one of the nicest people I have ever talked to. They picked up right away, unlike the Walmart electronic section. Was truly a breath of fresh air. Now the food, was bomb.com. However it was a little messy. First bite had no sauce. The most distracting portion of my 1st ( and last ) visit was the unbelievable and unsolicited rudeness of the young lady preparing the take out bags . When placing the order at the counter and paying we were only then told it would be about 25-30 minutes for take out - when I asked " wow why so long " from a distance this young girl snapped and shouted at me and said quote ;" because we are extremely busy can't you see we are backed up " Not exactly appreciative and I wasn't even addressing her . I love shake shack don't get me wrong. And one of the things I LOVE about shake shack are their concretes. Unfortunately, something is totally off about their Liberty Shell. The description looks good in writing: vanilla custard, Philly-style soft pretzel, caramel sauce, marshmallow sauce and banana. In actuality, it's like chewing on soggy croutons in vanilla ice cream. One of my favorite burger joints in the East Coast other than BurgerFi. West coast will always be In & Out. I just love the fresh burgers and shakes. Their cheese fries is just amazing, it's crispy and crinkled and comes with a special blend cheese sauce! I usually get their coffee fair trade shake and shack meister double stack burger which comes with onion strings and their special cheese wrapped nicely in wax paper and presented very well. Aw, man, seriously, it was a summer Friday night 8-30-2019 ! I kept scrolling, going more and more miles away, and landed on this Shake Shack, open until 11 pm. Yay. GPS, DO NOT fail me now ! Got to the restaurant, it is part of a shopping plaza. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant. Nice décor - albeit freezing cold inside. From the outside, it looked like they were closed, but the friendly counter girl said - nah, we are open. Got the bacon burger with fries and a black/white shake. I thought the bun was too soft/too much air. OK in a pinch - as I was certainly in - but I do prefer Five Guys, as I can customize my burger and my shake ingredients ! read more

We were a little skeptical about visiting this shake shack location, seeing as it is based in Manhattan, New York. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the food here is just as good as any other shake shack location. We ordered three single shack burgers as well as cheese fries and a black-and-white milkshake. All were delicious and the burgers perfectly cooked. I especially like the Shake shack secret sauce which is zesty and creamy and personally complements the half grilled half fried beef patty. The only knock I would give against this location is that although it is in a nice mall (Bridgewater Commons) and in a nice area, the interior of the restaurant of is not as kept as it could be. Finally ventured in here when I saw the line wasn't out the door. Definitely a cool decor. Open garage doors reveal some outdoor seating. Plenty of seating inside as well. Complimentary filtered water up at the condiment bar which I thought was a nice touch. I tried a regular burger with all of the fixins and a root beer float. My fiancé had the shake stack (1 burger patty/ 1 cheese stuffed portobello) with a cookies and cream shake. We split an order of French fries and donated $2 to charity. $35 later, I wasn't wowed. The burgers were good - cooked well, not messy. The portobello on the stack burger was exceptionally good. But, not impressed by the generic roll that houses a $10 burger. Skimpy portion of fries for an additional $5, we should have each gotten one. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here. Have never been to a Shake Shack before. Stopped by for lunch because the Chipolte across the street had a line out the backdoor and it's always nice to have a spot to get a good burger. This location has been packed since it opened a couple weeks ago and was finally able to get in without a wait. The place has a modern look and feel and seemed clean. First off the burger was pretty good. It was juicy and cooked to a perfect medium. The fries were OK but the Cheese Fries just seemed to be regular fries covered with watered down Cheese Wiz. This just made the fries soggy without much flavor. Vanilla Shake was good but nothing to write home about. McDonalds makes just as good a shake on a taste basis but I can vouch for what MikeyDs puts in theirs. Hot dog was cooked OK but half the bun was soggy to the point it was unappetizing to a teenager. The Peach Lemonade was very tart and seemed to have no sugar in it but they had plenty of sugar available. The biggest problem that I have with the place is not the food, if you know what to pick it can be good. But $12 per person for a burger/hot dog, fries, and a drink is a bit much for a fast food spot where the food ISN'T amazing. read more

When I learned that Shake Shack opened in Bridgewater, my mouth immediately began to water at the thought of not having to travel to the city to taste what I have heard is a pretty darn good burger. (keeping it pg13 here) Disclaimer, I had never been to a Shake Shack, I have only walked by the city location where I have seen the line out the door, so I can not compare to the Bridgewater location. I had the Smokestack burger (single patty), fries and a shake. The burger was delicious, was it the best burger I have ever had? No, but there was something different about it and I can't quite put my finger on it, which made it really good. The fries were great (except I may prefer 5 guys better) The Shake was a little sugary for my taste, I would have to try others to see If it was just that one. All in all, I am afraid this place might become a regular visit, since I would want to bring everyone I know and ask them their opinion, and use it as an excuse to keep getting their burgers, (two patty burger here i come!) read more

I heard that I had to try shake shack because I was raving about in-n-out, so I decided to take a ride and see what all the fuss was about. The first difference I noticed was that they had a much larger menu than in-n-out and they even have seasonal items and items for your dogs! But what I also noticed is that they are double the price. I tied the smoke shack burger, chicken sandwich, fires, and vanilla shake. The burger was very tasty and the bacon and cherry peppers really made it shine. The chicken was crispy and well seasoned, I also enjoyed the herbed mayo, the fires were average, and the shake was about average....but then again, I'm partial to carvel for thick shakes. Overall it was a great experience, I would certainly return. The food was tasty, the place was clean, and the staff was friendly. But the price is the only thing that would keep me away. It was the most expensive fast food I ever had. 13.00 for a burger with bacon, fries which were Orida frozen crinkle fried and small drink. I won't ever go back. Stick to 5 Guys or Sonic. You money would go much further and the burgers are a million times better Update: I went back to SS today and the food tastes much better and presented better as well. Maybe it was an off day when I first tried. I still do not think that the meat is too hearty and if you want a meaty burger you need to order the double meat as the patties are thin. For all the hype I was so overly disappointed. 2 very small burgers, 2 tiny shakes, cold tasteless frozen fries(which I took back but still only slightly warmer) and a plan hotdog cost $30, rip off!!! The rolls for both hotdog and burger tasted like cheep store bought crap. The burger it self tasted alright but very small for $5.50. The food was good. The atmosphere was clean and had a casual feel. The staff was friendly. The only problem I had was with the prices. I don't mind paying more for a good meal, but the regular fountain soda (12 oz maybe) was $2.25. Really? It's FOUNTAIN soda. The filtered water tap at the condiment bar is a nice touch though. While intrigued with the unique variety of milkshakes offered by this establishment, and its shiny new atmosphere, I was less than impressed with the food and its value. Lunch for two people ended up costing almost $30.00. We did not order shakes, only plain burgers and soft drinks. I won't go so far as to call the burgers inedible, but mine was extremely greasy and did not live up to my expectations, especially after paying what I did. I too, noticed that the establishment seems overstaffed and inefficient. I went there around 8:00PM one night and there were 10 or 11 employees there. Only three or four seemed to be working, while the rest stood around looking confused or were on their cell phones. This detracts from the environment, as the entire cooking area is visible from the cafe. I don't want to end the review on a negative note, so I will say that I did enjoy the Root Beer and appreciated the atmosphere of the outdoor seating area. read more

Hade a shack burger double and fries. The burger was good, not great, not huge but without a doubt a step above the rest of the fast food chains out there. Obviously the meat is better quality than most but it was a little too greasy and salty for my liking. The fries were subpar. They tasted like your average frozen fries you would by at the supermarket and bake in your oven. The fries did not compliment the burger hence the three star rating. Worth going here it not worth waiting in line that you often find at shake shack. The self serve water is great tho. read more

Utter chaos tonight. (It is not opening night they have been open and supposedly well trained) Even before 5pm with a small crowd orders were getting messed up. There were at least 10 burgers underneath the hot lamps for an extended period of time as cooks were way ahead of the expos. After ordering, food took 20 minutes to get and again it is not even peek period yet. As soon as the hype wears off maybe try this place but for now, not worth it. 3 stars because the food is average and shake had some ice pieces in it. Burgers are thin so make it a double if hungry or pair it with a shake. Tip: most people reserve a table before ordering. Not sure how you feel about that but be aware seating is limited. read more
