While the food here is good, the constant crowds and severe lack of indoor seating make for a hectic dining experience. The ordering process is entirely kiosk-based, followed by a wait for your food. Outside, there is a nice family-friendly area featuring games for kids and a small overflowing dine-in seating section. This outdoor space has been packed during my visits too. This is my first time trying out shake shack. I wanted to see what the hype is about, so I ordered a biscoff cookie butter tiramisu shake. I DID NOT expect to wait 45 minutes for one shake. This long wait for the shake ruined my first impression. Also, I noticed a lot of customers sound upset because they kept going up to the counter and asked for their orders. I have heard so many great things about Shake Shack and decided to check them out. I ordered the double bacon avocado burger and a lemonade. The customer service was great my cashier was super friendly. I wait a good while for my food and drink. My food finally comes and my burger is missing the avocado. Instead of just putting the avocado in the buger the give me a bag with avocado in it. My lemonade had more ice than lemonade. My burger wasn't good at all. They over salted the patties that it was hard to eat. The best part of my meal was the lemonade sadly. There is plenty of seating indoor and and outdoor for dining in. Decided to check out this recently opened Shake Shack spot. Visited other locations many times before with great service and burgers so expectation is very high! Plenty of parking around the area as it is in a new shopping plaza. Very well maintained and organized inside. Order kiosks are on the left side with the order counter and kitchen in the middle while lots of dining tables on the right. There is also outside patio seating. Ordered the following: ***Triple Shack Burger 5/5, $15.98 ***Spicy fries 4/5, $5.49 ***Coffee shake 5/5, $6.00 Grabbed a table out in the patio. Well this new Shake Shack location did not disappoint! The burger was juicy and delicious as expected! The spicy fries and coffee shake were very tasty! Service was very good and the staff were very courteous and friendly. Had a quick chat with the GM Oscar when he was checking in on people out in the patio and how their opening turnout blew their projection. They've only been open 3 days when I visited. The customer service was top notch at the soft opening yesterday. We were checked on throughout our visit and even got tableside drink refills. You can order at a tablet or with a team member. The place is cute and has tables as well as a few booths plus a patio. There is a condiment station as well. The food was good, although 1 thing they could improve on was making sure there is enough avocado on the burger- I received 2 slices of avocado, which left 1/3 of my burger naked. My friend's avocado was forgotten altogether. That being said, it was their soft opening and it's pretty normal to have missteps in that timeframe. Finally, A Shake Shack in Elk Grove. I utilized the app to order my food and it worked well. I forgot how good their burgers were. I didn't even get a big burger, but it was very filling. We have tried the shake shack a couple of times at the new location in Elk Grove. I love their hotdogs. The chicken sandwich is also very good. The hamburgers are good, but they are a little overcooked for our liking. The fries are very good and the shakes are delicious. The staff are very attentive. Ask you if you want water while you wait for your order and a friendly when they bring your food to your table. The restaurant is very clean and has plenty of seating. This is actually located in Elk Grove next to Philz Coffee and Whole Foods supermarket it is a brand new parking lot where there is limited parking but it also gets filled quickly as well. . Did you have really nice outdoor seating and they do serve pretty good burgers as well and I really do like there mushroom burger with cheese and with fresh buns over the lettuce wrap which I did try the lettuce wrap but the regular one is better. . I also discovered the coffee milkshake which is really good and it reminds me of Baskin-Robbins coffee ice cream. The service was really friendly and they were very helpful and accommodating to the customers need. . The Ambiance is actually family-friendly oriented and it is casual quick so if you're looking for a great spot to go get some burgers fries and milkshakes this is the spot to go to. Well, we enjoyed our first order last week so much that we came back for more. Unfortunately, this time was a disappointment. I ordered through the app again, and when we got home and started unpacking our dinner, we realized that two items were missing: the 10-piece chicken bites and the mac and cheese. I called the store and spoke with Diondre, who apologized and said I would receive a credit back to my card within five days. I appreciate him addressing the issue, but what I don't understand is how two items were missing when there were two people in the front checking orders before they were handed out. How did no one notice that the order was incomplete? Mistakes happen, but having two people check the order and still missing two items is frustrating, especially when you're already home and have to call the store to get it resolved. Hopefully, this was just a one-time mistake because we really enjoyed our first visit. read more

This place is getting giving us less service than the other locations. Our first visit: they let our whole meal sit there for fries for over 10 minutes making everything go room temperature. Our second visit: they did exactly the same thing, but this time it was 15 minutes that everything sat there because they couldn't coordinate fries with burgers coming out at about the same time. We had to wait for other customers to order just to get our refund. The supervisor of the day didn't even apologize. I believe the manager was a female and she did but the whole thing is it's the staff just I don't think they care. Our third visit because the hospitality team gave us a credit so we could try it again: I ordered a West Coast burger got everything it was about the same time. Thought everything was OK went home opened it up and we had a plain regular hamburger. They got the order wrong. At this point this place is a negative in our mind. We wasted a lot of time here without them even being able to coordinate burgers and fries at the same time. And I'm not even gonna bother going back because they got my order wrong because I'm not gonna get back in my car in a hot summer day and drive all the way back there to wait in line for them to cook it all over again to give it to me the way that they should've the first time. Shake shack finally opened in Elk Grove ! I went to pick it up today and they were really fast even though it just opened yesterday it said 5-10 minute wait. So I went to pick it up at the expected time, they told me to wait a little bit since they were kind of busy, but I didn't have to wait too long. I saw inside there was kiosks where you can order from. My order was ready in just a couple of minutes after I arrived ! I really wish they had the new west coast burger at this location. I saw the signs for it and the website showed it, but then when I selected Elk Grove location it was unavailable for some reason. Hopefully it gets added later on since it's still new, but overall I really enjoyed the burger ! The fries could be a little hotter, it was just warm. But overall the service was great and so kind ! 1 star: Long wait, incorrect orders I've been a longtime loyal Shake Shack customer, so I was thrilled when one finally opened in Elk Grove. Unfortunately, tonight's dine-in visit fell short. It took over 30 minutes to get our food, and when it arrived, both patties on our double bacon cheeseburgers were burnt to the point of tasting bitter, and neither burger actually had bacon on it. Our Shake Shack burger was also missing lettuce and tomato. We had to flag down a front counter staff member to get our orders corrected. I Just ordered two single hamburgers with cheese, french fries, onion rings, and their featured Reese's pieces shake to go. My onion rings and hamburger had way too much salt on them. I paid extra for the sour cream onion, dipping sauce for the onion rings, but it was not in the bag when I came home. By the time I came home, the Reese's piece shake that looked thick when we got it, was pretty watery by the time we got home. The total for two was around $45, which is pretty steep for a burger, drink, and fries. Fries were good and crispy. Mango Lemonade was good. Cherry Limade wasn't our favorite unfortunately, tasted mostly like just sparking water. I've always thought shake shack burgers were good. My only complaint was that the buns on my burger were cold. I visited for the first time on Friday. Everyone was super nice and helpful. All was okay but my fries were cold. I walked back in and the gentleman took my bag and took the fries out. He made me new fries and innocently walked them to me and put them in my hands. I said thank you but can I have my bag, please? We both laughed- it was a genuine mistake. No worries. Today, I went in to order and thought I was having technical issues. I asked the young lady at the counter and she tried to help but she went to get her manager to assist- which I respect. There were people coming in but she stayed there with the manager to make sure I was taken care of. As soon as she knew I was taken care of, she went back to what she was doing. DeAndre took my order (at the register) and answered all my questions while I was trying to download the app. He took care of the issue with genuine customer service and politeness- which I appreciated. I waited for my food for awhile. The employees seem pretty young and I feel like a group of their friends came in because they were not on top of it- they were socializing- which I get but with everyone talking- no numbers were being called out. One customer was talking to the employee and after a little bit, asked if his order was ready and she looked and said, oh, this is yours. They kept talking, as I waited. She walked away and so did he. I walked up to find that my bag had been sitting there for I don't know how long. Some of the fries were warm and others were less than. The ambiance was less energetic today but they were probably tired. Socializing is fine but the customers should always remain your priority. read more

Many things to improve if a manager can take notes: 1 - why make people grabbed the to-go number if you're just calling out names anyway and those numbers are gone a lot of times 2 - why make people wait for shakes/drinks to go while you're prepping dining meals? Drinks sitting there melted in the heat just so 5-6 servers standing around waiting for meals to be prepped to serve. Very inefficient way of doing business. The food and the wait times are atrocious. 36.00 for a single burger,a double burger, 1 onion rings and 1 French fry. We got six extremely small onion rings about the size of quarters maybe a bit larger,and they were not hot at all for 5.49 sooooo disappointed. We've never experienced a bad food order from the Folsom location. I think they're going through opening pains. I think I'll wait several months before I go back to this location even though it's closer for us. Very un controlled in the kitchen it looked like they had way too many cooks and a lot of people standing in the back area. We waited 41 minutes for our order. It's okay as we weren't in a hurry but I don't think I want to wait that long again for fast food. I wish I had taken pictures of the tray of fries and onion rings. The burgers hopefully will become more evenly cooked so not to be as hard on the burger itself next time. Overall not a good meal...... The way they are expediting the food is very unorganized. I can't tell you how many orders didn't get their drinks because they were on a wire shelf up high and In The kitchen area where they will sit and start to get war, or have the ice melt because of the location. Don't bother eating here if you've been to the Shake Shack on R street. I ordered two burgers, a six piece chicken bites and two orders of cheese fries along with 3 large drinks to-go. The wait was pretty long. Took about 30 minutes to fill our order. To be fair it is a new joint and pretty busy, so I get it. I don't mind the wait for quality food. However, the lack of quality control is unacceptable. While the burgers were okay, the cheese fries had minimal amount of cheese. I mean almost non existent. So disappointed. The chicken bites were over fried dry chicken balls. They gave us no dipping sauce like we ordered and I hate paying $5 for a large coke, that's the same size as a grande latte from Starbucks. The R street Shake Shack is far superior both in quality and service. This place is new, and has time to turn it around. I hope they do. The inside was busy and there wasn't much room for everyone but I appreciated outside options for people to sit. I ordered 2 burgers, fries, onion rings, and a shake for a total that was about $44 dollars. Now this food wasn't cheap but it didn't taste cheap either. I ordered a milkshake and a chicken sandwich. I waited 25+ minutes to get my order. I understand you guys are busy but by the time I received my order my milkshake was already melted. Did not even try to deliver our food to table and I guess they gave up and let it sat. Food was ice cold and soggy. I spent so much money and in and out is better. They even forgot my fries. Worked tried to argue with me and had my receipt. I would not be coming back. Also to get a refill they have to walk in the back of kitchen, and drink is exposed to long and delivered. This is my first time going to Shake Shack since my visit to New York around 5 years ago. In New York, I found the proportions of each ingredient quite reasonable, where as for here the ingredients were... off? A noticable difference was the bun size, which felt way smaller than it should be, so much so I could only taste the beef and cheese of the burger. For context, I was eating the West Coast burger, a limited time burger that was placed at the top of the online menu. Other than the upset with the burger, the shake was pretty standard-faire, whereas the fries with bacon and their "secret sauce" with cheese was quite unappetizing, as I felt the sauce was blending too well with the cheese, so much so that I even believed that was just how the cheese tasted. read more

Okay read the reviews....wow... I'm thinking I must have eaten in a different burger place. Burger dry as death valley the burger was expensive....40 dollars for my wife and eye .. wow .. again. Coffee and shake was amazing... at 6.50 it should be.. but that's all we had that amazed either one of us. Soggy fries replaced the crispy ones we ordered and the tiniest catsup container ever. Shake sauce amount was almost non existent on either burger. If you didn't ask for anything else on your burger that what you got.. nothing but patty and a bun. lucky I wanted to taste the shake sauce. Not enough for two burgers but made it do.
