Hello, Thank you again for the response According to your response, the machine has been continuously missing parts for over three years? That seems like a highly unbelievable percentage that parts of the machine would just break without the usage of it. Your reply is very hypocritical, you have first explained that in 2019 you handed this ac system to us fully functional, even after the zones were mixed. But later on, in the reply, there was a refrigerant missing? It isn't the fact that we have to keep paying for the labor that I fear, it's the fact that you keep using excuses in your reply that contradict each other. Yet again, the machine itself has been leaking for three years. I can't seem to figure out if it was the machine's problem itself or the labor that has been continuously breaking it. And with our houses limited time using it including experiences with our other devices and electronic machines installed in our home. Our power arrangement wouldn't have affected nor harmed the ac, even if it did not to this extreme. How would the PCM board break without even any usage of the machine itself? Is it really the machines fault and not your workers, which you keep trying to make excuses for? The contract itself was another story. You had no paperwork for any of the labor nor parts you seemingly installed in. The contract that my husband signed was childish and immature. Everything was explained with absolutely zero details and was awful. Our household tried to ignore the terrible paperwork because your reviews on yelp seemed to be high (and we wanted to support smaller businesses). The English in our house isn't good, since all of the people in our house are of Chinese ethnicity. I can't help but think your workers and company are trying to take advantage of that fact. Especially since it was the first time we had received this type of service. We have shared our experience with this company online and asked for help because of our minimal knowledge of air conditioning. When i started looking for a mini split AC, i explored all options from a big company to handyman with my Amazon bought unit. Ultimately, chose Sharkaire after meeting the owner. Very satisfied with the service, price and performance of these units; initially got one 1.5 installed and then another one too. Very quiet, both indoor and outdoor units (my neighbors AC makes a racket). Good cooling with very low electric usage (i did the electric consumption comparison before and after installation and usage). While i have tried it only a couple of times, the heating too seems indicate that i can stop using the central gas heater, specially since i installed solar panels. This is my first time owning a ductless AC system so I cannot really compare it to other brands but I love this unit! I have the 12,000BTU in my master bedroom and although its only 200 square feet, I have high ceilings and I thought I could cool the master bathroom if I wished. The system is quiet (much quieter than my fans). I love the fact that its an AC, fan and Heater in one. And compared to window, wall and portable ACs, its so much more modern looking. This unit can easily cool my bedroom and bathroom in around 5 minutes. I even did a test. I turned the AC on full blast, kept the door open for around an hour and it was actually able to bring down the temperature in the adjacent room. The reason I purchased from Sharkaire is because they were only a few miles away so I could purchase directly from them and save on shipping costs. Compared to other brands sold on Amazon, Sharkaire was way cheaper. I think these units arent too popular in the US because of the hassle of installation. Sharkaire recommended an awesome installer Robert who was able to come and install everything very quickly. With these units, you really need someone who understands HVAC, electricity and has general contracting skills. Robert was all of them and his prices were reasonable. Overall I am very happy with this unit. Two slight hiccups. I noticed when I have the AC and dryer on at the same time, the fuse on other areas of the house will shut down (not a big deal, just gotta do one at a time). The power light on the interior unit will always stay on unless you unplug the unit. Since its quite close to my bed, it felt like an overpowering nightlight at night. I ended up purchasing white duct tape, making 3 layers and cutting out a rectangular shape with an Xacto knife. Now I can still see the display without it being too overbearing. read more

I am happy to have chosen mini-split ductless AC for my house and more so for having chosen Sharkaire for the purchase and installation. I researched a few online options of Fujitsu and LG systems but the common theme was the Toshiba compressor in them. I came upon the yelp review of Sharkaire and I was compelled to give them a call based on the reviews and I was lucky to work with Kaya and Yoel. The process was smooth and after initial quote, Yoel came home for a quick inspection of the panel and rooms. A slight hiccup in the installation day (1st because of my camping trip and 2nd time they had an emergency unfinished job). But I was scheduled for the very next weekend. I have to commend Yoel for a very professional install. Clean lines, thorough inspection and everything unit is symmetric. Cables are all hidden and a nice metal box encases the line set and condenser line. Very clean. It took them till 10pm on Sunday but he got it done. Very glad to have chosen Sharkaire and for bypassing central AC units for this awesome ductless system. read more

I bought a 12000 btu ac / heat pump in summer of 2015 and this thing is still running great in 2022! It has run almost continuously for 6.5 years. I have had to do some maintenance on it such as replace electronic board at 2 years (free replacement part was given) and I had to give it a thorough internal cleaning after 5 years but this thing is tough as a tank! Really impressed because it was delivered to Texas for $625 complete. Thank you all!! read more

I purchased a 12,000 BTU AC unit from Sharkaire and had a licensed AC tech install it, after 2 years the compressor with a five year warranty failed. Sharkaire told me I would have to have my AC tech disassemble unit, remove compressor, ship it back to Sharkaire at my expense and then wait for them to ship a new compressor, again at my expense and then have my AC tech install and re assemble knowing the whole time that all of this would cost far more than a brand new unit. After much discourse w Sharkaire, bad reviews and a BBB complaint still nothing... Never do business w sharkaire!!! read more

This is their warehouse - they let me come by and pick up an A/C unit to save on shipping. The owner is super-friendly and took the time to talk me through the installation process, ensure I have all the necessary brackets/equipment to install, and point out potential pitfalls to beware of. The customer service sucks! I'm trying to get a replacement part with no luck. I called and left a message and no return call. I emailed, got a response 2 days later with a price for part, I emailed back agreeing with price and an invoice to be sent and a month later nothing yet. This is the worst company you can deal with. Will not back their product, The king valve was faulty and leaked all the freon and oil all over the ground. Luckily for me it was professionally installed by a company, which they don't tell you you have to do for the warranty to be covered. Infinity heating and cooling comes out and says that since it's a equipment malfunction, they have to charge me for the freon and service call, totaling $360, and the installer goes onto to say that since it was running without the oil in it, the compressor is more than likely damaged. I call the owner of Sharkaire and he said, "That's not my problem." I asked him since it's got a "2 yr warrant on everything else and 5 yrs on the compressor" if could just replace the outdoor unit and I'll send him back this unit so that he can have it fixed. He lets me know that they are just a shipper and has no way of fixing units that they sell. I tell him that his warranty said that everything is covered for 2 years and he tells me that's not accurate, he makes the call on what's covered. Anything this guy can do to avoid having to back his product is shameful. After talking with the owner it sounds like he got a good deal on Alibaba or something and just shipped these units in from China and sells them for a big markup. So after having to pay for professional instillation, for the company to come back out and repair the faulty unit and more than likely going to have to replace the compressor with a service call fee, I could have bought a unit from home depot and had a real company to back it's product. My advice is spend the extra money up front and don't get bit by this scam artist. read more
