Cool little place with great food. It's worth your stop with good customer service. Quaint place, bright lighting. Cool logo.

We were looking for a dog friendly place and oh boy they are dog friendly! I like to try all the clam chowder every time. I'm on a coastal town and shark bites did not disappoint. Super friendly family business so kids definitely welcome. My sister got the fish tacos. I gotta say that the fried fish inside the tacos was probably the best , I took a little bite of it. There was no grease and super crispy. their homemade margarita with fresh squeeze. Juices !!!great.!!!!My sister got a Moscow mule and it was good. I got some oysters that were fried and they were good and I got a bean dip chips and salsa, which was also excellent! Super chill inside kind of a beach vibe

Stopped in for a family snack/meal. We were very happy with our decision. The service was great, laid back atmosphere, and the food was fantastic. My wife and I got the fish tacos from the specials menu, the blackened and spicy. Both were so good! Great spot in Coos Bay!

We had a great meal here at SharkBites. The food was fresh and tasted great. We had the fish tacos, chicken tacos and shrimp cocktail. All of it was very good and if we lived in the area this would be a regular spot for us. Service was excellent and all the staff was very friendly.

We stopped by shark bites on our way down the coast. There were lots of different seafood options and the staff were vey friendly. The nice thing about this restaurant was that the creamy clam chowder was gluten free. It was very good, and still had a thickness to it. For our main food we ordered tacos and fish and chips. The fries were really good, and the fish was very crispy but didn't have much flavor. My husband enjoyed his tacos and beans on the side.

First time here & was slightly surprised that after you walk through a small souvenir section, you place your order at the counter & then walk to a table. Kinda like a fast food restaurant. It was a bit busy & we had to wait a few minutes to place our orders. We sat at a window booth overlooking Broadway & watched the traffic as we waited. We had both ordered the crab cake burger, a Dungeness crab cake with fresh dill, sautéed onions, avocado, tomato & lettuce. It comes out on a soft Kaiser roll with tartar sauce. However, ours was pretty dry. If it had tartar sauce, it could've used more. Still, it was tasty. The fries had a crispy texture with a fluffy inside & just enough salt to be flavorful but not overwhelming. A small side of Cole slaw came with the meals: I'm not a fan. It was just meh at best. I thought it was dry & bland. The Mrs got a Bloody Mary that she said was good but not what the menu said it would be. The menu calls for blue cheese stuffed olives & hers had the pimento olives. Overall, we did enjoy our meal here, but there is room for improvement.

Lunch at Shark Bites seems popular.

We visited Coos Bay expecting to enjoy some fresh seafood. The Seafood Platter here included fish, shrimp, scallops, oysters, (calamari?), but was hard to distinguish one from another by appearance or flavor, since all were covered in thick doughy coating and deep fried. When we sat after ordering & paying, our suspicions rose as to their seafood bonafides when a table of (8-9?) young women (team?) and an older man (coach?) that preceded us were all served cheeseburgers of various stripes. The sales check had our fairly expensive (over $50 with 1 drink) meal properly listed as "SPLATT".

Stopped by for a late lunch on a road trip. The happy hour deals for the black bean burger and fish tacos were pretty good.

Slower service, the onion rings were swimming in grease. Good atmosphere. The fish tacos were ok.

We were seated right away and our waitress gave us window seating so we could have a river view. I told the waitress it was my daughters birthday, hoping they would do something special for her later. We ordered a few drinks and made our food order. It took about 20 minutes before we were served. I ordered the burger and fries. My hubby ordered the fish and chips and my daughter ordered the mac N cheese. Everything looked good, however, my fries were lacking warmth and my burger bun was stale. It was not soft and fresh. I ended up not eating the bun, but just the burger itself. My daughters mac N cheese wasn't as great as she expected either. It was bland and dry. Yes, it had cheese, but it was stringy and not creamy. My husband loved his fish and chips. Hot and fresh and looked amazing. I did have a bite and it did taste really good. Note taken: Do NOT order anything but the fish and chips. When we were finished a new waitress gave us our receipt and asked if we needed anything else. I wanted to tell her we needed more water, but we were ready to go. I wish they would have filled up the carafe of water "before" I was about to leave. And..on top of that...no birthday surprise for my daughter. Some places sing a song or give a small dessert. But nope...not here. Oh well...I think I'll skip this place for any kind birthday celebrations.

We did not expect to find a French place anywhere in the vicinity, but we did. We had such a great time at Restaurant O, we went back a second night. We made reservations for Friday at 5. When we showed up, we were greeted by Patricia and instantly fell in love with the look and feel of the place as well as Patricia's hospitality and attentiveness. The menu blew us away-- it had all the things: Foie Gras, Oysters, Escargot, Tartare... the list goes on. We're used to enjoying this type of menu in Portland, but finding it in tiny Coos Bay was a real treat. The wine list was fabulous. Everything we had was prepared with great care and presentation. Chef O also sent us a complimentary appetizer as the food took a little longer. It was very nice of him to do so. Bill told us they were down one chef and had the party of 30. I had the dungeness crab and prawn linguine, our friend had the special of the day with steak and prawns, and my hubby had the ribeye. Everything was tasty. Definitely go back again.
