Never had the rudest bartender in my life. Came in to the bar and saw a few people at the center of the bar counter and decided to move to the another section of the counter to wait for my order. While waiting , they got their orders and more people came in behind them and ordered after them. The bartender never came to ask me what to I wanted on the right side. One moment I actually thought he waved me to come to the center section from my spot but the music was too loud to hear anything. A 3rd crowd came to the center and he took their order again and so I got upset he skipped me again and ask the guy behind the pizza section if this pizza box on the counter is for "my name" he says yes this is for me. He says you can pay the food at the bar. I took the box and waved at the bartender and he again for the 3rd time waved for me to come to him to the center of the bar from where I was (right side of the bar). Am I wrong or isn't the bartender suppose to ask customers what they want or to drink when they are waiting at the bar (regardless if I'm on the right side area seating). Even so, he skipped me In front of 3 people that came in after me. So in the end, a pick up food order took 25 minutes after arrival. How is a bartender going to wave you to come to him at the center when you already sat down at the right section because the center area was already crowded. Stopped in on a Monday night to watch football. Good selection of beer and pizza but the best is the friendly staff. Sean the bartender talks to everyone. Great friendly guy. Ask him anything and he will try and help. He gave me the names of a couple other good restaurants and music places. Definitely recommend this place. I'll come back again. It definitely has that local and neighborhood type feel with a micro brew with great full size games next door. I was there on Tuesday night and they had a great open mike night. Zig the bartender is awesome. Very attentive and accommodating. I'm from houston and far from a beer snob but he helped me find a great beer to pair with my pizza. And omg the pizza is delicious! We had the chicken spinach Alfredo. Highly recommend stopping by this place especially when all the food joints close early in Galveston. Most nights they have live music, blues style. A super fun Beachy vibe with an shark tile pizza oven, which makes some amazing pizza! They offer a nice selection of local beer and more for you to choose from. The owners are very friendly and offer great service! My favorite was the jalapeño and sausage pizza, very thin crust slightly charred with cheddar it was very tasty!!!! They offer lunch and a wide variety of local bands play. It is a fun addition to the island, we go once a week at least, if you are visiting from out of town they are right next to Devil in the Deep Brewery... so you can visit both! read more

This place was so much fun, corn hole, connect four, tic tac toe and much more inside. Bands play on certain nights, $1 off all drinks during happy hour. The shark wood fire oven cooks up delicious thin crust pizzas, ranch on the side is an extra $2 and adding toppings is $1.50 each. We got the Big Fred and added mushrooms. Hero to zero I feel sorry to add this review but here goes. I was in Sharky's Saturday and had a great experience having a couple of beers and a pizza. The lady who served me was great, I first ordered a domestic beer at then $4 and then asked about an IPA which she recommended a Mexican version for $5. I was hooked. I then ordered a pizza which was okay. I went back today and the $5 beer was $6.50. I asked why and the answer was "I don't know". I asked for the manager to why the price change and he wasn't in. I tried to explain to the bar tender and he couldn't care less. Sorry guys a good experience gone bad. Would the next days price be $8? Somebody else will have to tell you. I'm gone. read more

My wife and I arrived I ordered two drinks and a pizza at the bar after my third drink an hr later I asked how's my pizza coming she said they're working on it now and then all the excuses with no help. We stopped here because we'd heard they had really good pizza. It wasn't a lie they're pizza is amazing but the wait almost wasn't worth it. The first order was within thirty minutes but the second was a dessert pizza (which was amazing) but it took more than 30 minutes. The atmosphere is comfortable. read more

While the pizza here was not horrible, I wish the service to order was better- not to mention the bar service. We stood around (in a non-busy bar) and BOTH bartenders (behind the bar) were too preoccupied with their phones and each other. We were never attended (even with direct eye contact.) Ultimately, we walked away quietly paying for just our pizzas deciding to go up one block to Market Station (a bar full of welcoming faces with busy lines) and had a wonderful time. I heard about this place from a friend who visited Galveston and had fun here. Nice selection of beer on tap that included local and regional breweries. Fun atmosphere and reasonable drink prices. They do have a brick oven for pizza which makes for a delicious snack. The place was not busy when we arrived and we received our first pizza about 35 minutes after we ordered it in fact it was so good we ordered another but after waiting an hour and repeatedly asking about it we were told the ticket had been misplaced. This is a family owned and operated business and they are in the first year of business. Go for drinks and conversation. Pizza is the only item on the menu and it is thin crust fresh and delicious but you have to be willing to wait for it. read more

We just moved to the island and was driving around looking to see what was open and looked fun and we found sharkys. We had been at the beach all day and was starving so we were so happy they had pizza! Little did we know how amazing the pizza was going to be! We sat outside and laughed and had fun! It was so good we decided to go back the next day and got to meet the owner holly now wonder everything is so great because she is awesome! We ate more pizza and had more fun just like the first night! We couldn't stay away we had to go back the next day too! My husband and I and our friends often stop by Sharkys on the weekends when we are riding motorcycles and each time we have experienced slow service and unfriendly bartenders but we like the place so we just put up with it. The last time we were there my husband went up to the bar to order a drink and a young man was standing at the bar in front of him. The young man turned around and looked and my husband with a frustrated look on his face and my husband said to him, they are pretty slow and the young man yelled at my husband and said this is my mom's bar and thats my sister ( the bartender) then he told my husband to get the f$%k out of here. So my husband came back to the table and I looked at the young man and he was telling his sister the bartender something and then she told me that they were cutting us off. I paid our bill and we left. We were very shocked on how we were treated. I would think if you own a business and trying to grow a business and if a customer says something negative you may want to take the opportunity to understand the complaint and not cuss the customer out . read more
