We came to Sharky's specifically from the Google search "pizza and beer near me" and it led us to this little gem. The pizza was top notch as you can't go wrong with wood fired/brick ovens. They also make their marinara from scratch and have homemade recipes for all pizzas. The beer is cold and nicely carbonated, which means FRESH! Outside features picnic tables in the front and in the back, games and more seating with an awesome surround sound system. Fairy lights give the place a feel good vibe, as well. A pool table and stage, along with other miscellaneous games are for your entertainment. They have different events every night of the week, too! Visited this "best kept secret" for the first time Memorial Day weekend. The place wasn't busy at all at 6 PM on a Saturday, such that we weren't even sure if they were open. Lucky for us, they were open, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We had the patio to ourselves, which was great, and it's dog-friendly outside, which our pup loved. They don't serve beer from the brewery next door, but they do have a long list of beers on draft as well as mixed drinks. Their menu is limited to pizza right now (manager told us there are plans to expand he menu) but there's a good variety to choose from. We split 2 pizzas, which was more than enough for 3 adults. The pizza is thin crust and homemade, with a yummy pizza sauce that has a nice spice to it. Everything was delicious and we were so glad to beat the crowds on Memorial Day weekend when most restaurants are bursting at the seams. They also serve brick oven pizzas which were delicious and didn't take very long once ordered, but only come in one size and were a little bit pricey. Although the pizza was good, it took 90 minutes to get to us. If it was an extremely busy night, it would be a bit more understanding, however we were one of two tables all evening. The pizzas are all one size and all $15, and the band was way too loud for such a small area. Very expensive for what I'd consider a personal pizza. We ordered a $14 pizza for 2 people and had to order a second one because it was so small. We only ordered from them because they are next door to the brewery. Now we order to-go from Press Box or EatCetra when at the brewery. I have only lived in Galveston for 7 weeks, but have eaten at about 25 places off Island and on. This wood fired pizza at Sharkys is extrodinary. I want to say that it may be the sea air that effects the dough. It is a fact that the sea air effects the San Francisco sourdough breads to be the best in the world. Nowhere else can you make sourdough bread like in San Fran and I think Sharkys may have the same claim on wood fire in the Gulf. Extraordinary Pizza, get some! read more

Even if you might not like the pizza the rest of this place is great. I recommend the Big Fred pizza but no jalapeños and instead of pepperoni I get Canadian bacon. This is amazing. The bar has a good atmosphere, but the pizza was terrible! The style is Neapolitan which typically includes a light crust baked quickly in a wood fired oven. It can be difficult to pull off, and in our experience the crust was burned and soggy. I don't recommend the pizza based on our experience. read more
