My LG refrigerator wasn't cooling and needed a new compressor. Andrei quoted $1,250 for a new compressor. He came late and the job took about three hours longer than he quoted. It is not clear whether he was certified to work on LG refrigerator. He seemed to be figuring it out as he went along. He pulled my refrigerator out of the cabinet and scratched my hardwood flooring. He said the job was done but wasn't able to reinstall my refrigerator. I've been texting him to return to my house to finish the job by putting back the fridge he pulled out but he said it isn't his job and I should be thanking him. He seems unqualified and unprofessional. In the images I uploaded you can see his text messages to me and the before and after where he didn't return the fridge to the cabinetry. read more

My dryer stopped working on a Friday. Most of the repair companies offered a Monday appointment. Not doable with very active children making loads of laundry. I called Andrei and he offered to come the next day. I was delayed at work so he adjusted the appointment for Sunday morning. He arrived on time, masked and went right to work. He diagnosed the issue gave the cost to repair and then fixed and cleaned the whole system. He charged less than the other companies and provided a parts and labor warranty. Andrei was very helpful in a stressful situation for me and my family. Our Freezer has stopped working. I was concerned all our groceries were going to spoil etc. I called so many company and one of the company asked me $ 1500 to fix the freezer and I bought the freezer for only $700. so twice the money to fix than the price I bought, they were telling me I need to replace this and that, and then I called Andrei and he answered immediately. Andrew fixed my dryer, and he did a good job making sure everything else was functional and safe before replacing the part. The issue was my timer was not advancing (I would set it, and it would stay at the start position and never turn off). He replaced the timer, after he made sure the vents were clear. He knew the coil was not functioning correctly which was why it was not holding it's temperature. After diagnosing the problem, he did a thorough job cleaning the condenser coil and immediately the problem was fixed. My fourth rodeo with Andrei I have tried to find appliance technicians in my neighborhood, but each time I tried a new company, I was disappointed. Without exception, they were over-priced and sometimes didn't even solve my problem. A few years ago I was having trouble with my Kitchenaid oven. Sometimes it worked perfectly, sometimes it didn't work at all. There was something wrong with the control panel. I had already had another company diagnose it and give me an estimate: $1500 if they could fix it (not guaranteed), or $2900 if they installed a new panel. I'm not sure if my oven cost $2900 when it was new. I decided to call a different appliance repair place, which was Shata. I agreed to the $55 fee for the service call, which would apply to the cost of repair if I agreed to the work. Andrei arrived after driving 90 minutes. There was a lot of traffic and while I don't exactly live "off the grid", I'm certainly not centrally located. Andrei made no complaints about the drive. Andrei has a big, friendly personality. You immediately like him. After chatting for a bit, he started to dismantle my oven. Getting to the actual control panel is a complicated process. As I saw piece after piece laying on my island, I sent up a prayer that all the parts would fit back inside before Andrei left. The control board looks scary, with tiny wires and terminals all over the place. Andrei tried many things to troubleshoot the control panel to no avail. He told me I should either buy a new control panel or a new oven. As he began to put my oven back together, he noticed a teeny wire that was loose, which he then tightened. Tada​! Problem solved! My oven has worked PERFECTLY ever since. That was about three years ago. Since then, Andrei has fixed our Viking hood and installed a new ice maker in our Kitchenaid fridge. Every time I hear a new batch of ice hit the tray, I think of Andrei. We use a lot of ice! Last Friday Andrei replaced the coils in my Whirlpool dryer. As usual, it's working like a charm. I called Shata Appliance yesterday and Andrei answered the phone...an actual human, not an answering machine! He scheduled a service call for this morning and was communicative and on time. We had two issues, a GE wall oven that needed a new igniter and a Whirlpool refrigerator with a water supply line leak. I called Shata on a Mon when my refrigerator stopped working. Andrei came out within 30 min, At first he thought it was a leak in freon wihich he said would be very expensive to repair. Cleaned the cooling coils under the refrigerator he thought that may help. Charged me just for the service call. Next day refrigerator appears to be working well. He was very honest about the cost of the repairs and did not try to sell any expensive repair. On refrigerator #1, the refrigerator was not working and the freezer was in excellent condition. After Andrei worked on the refrigerator, he informed that the compressor was done and it was $1,000 to repair it. Refrigerator #1 no longer worked and was done. I decided to charge it as a loss and move on. On refrigerator #2, the freezer was working and the refrigerator was not cool enough. Andrei claimed to fix the refrigerator and to give it 4-5 hours so it can cool down. After 4 to 5 hours, the refrigerator never cooled down. I called Andrei to tell him that the refrigerator never cooled down and my food was spoiling. He attempted 2 more times during the next 2 days to fix the refrigerator, and it never worked. Andrei kept telling me that it was going to cool and it never did. After 3 times of Andrei attempting to fix the broken refrigerator, I requested a refund. We agreed on $175 refunded back to me after verbal disputes on the phone and text message. Andrei promised to come today, 8/12/17 between 12 pm to 3 pm. He never showed up. I called him and he gave the runaround..... We agreed on him coming to my home between 7-8 pm to give me the refund. When Andrei came to my home, he had so many excuses and reasons not to refund me. Andrei looked in his wallet for money and did not have it. Andrei looked in his glove compartment of his car and trunk for money and did not have it. He then told me that he had to come inside to get a part out of the refrigerator before giving me the refund. I told him to come inside and get the part. Then he said he is not coming in because I am agressive. I was never aggressive with Andrei at all. He then said he wanted to move his car and come right back. Five to ten minutes passed, and I realized he was not coming back. I called Andrei at least 10-15 times and he NEVER answered his phone. He replied to me in text message calling me aggressive and not wanting to refund my money. I text him back stating that my lawyer will call you. At least one hour later, the police banged on my door trying to contact me. I spoke to the officers, and they told me that Andrei told them I did not allow him to enter my home for his material/piece from the refrigerator. He told the police that I was aggressive, and he was scared of me. My lady and I laughed. I told the police everything and Andrei came inside the home with them to take the piece out of the refrigerator. I allowed Andrei time to get the piece out of the refrigerator. Andrei refunded me $175 in cash. He wrote a receipt out and I signed my initials. After Andrei and the police left my home, I was surprised to see that my refrigerator was unplugged. The refrigerator section was not working, but the freezer was. Andrei lied, cheated, stressed me out, and upset because I caught him in his dishonesty. Nightmare scene at 2:30am - the water pipe to my refrigerator broke. Water was pouring out from underneath my fridge - my entire kitchen floor was filling with water. Andrei, you did come and try to service us, but all you seem to do is misdiagnose, over quote prices, replace parts then take them back, and give empty promises of partial refunds when there still has been NO money received. We filed a claim with the bank and are still waiting. This scum has a strong track record of denials. His logic makes no sense in that it wasn't his company when his affiliate DID outsource his company (Andrei) to do the work. He thinks an invoice receipt from EZ Repair that he scribbled on can save him as he continually hides in his anger. He is now bothering us with calls and texts, threatening to take us to court on a charge of fraud.. which makes no sense because he's the fraudulent technician that takes deposits and leaves your appliances in worse condition than it was. Please - Shata Appliance Repair should be renamed Shat On Your Repairs. Sooner or later the world will see how horrible you continue your business ethics. Thank God Yelp is a here to provide a public forum because at least I can state facts on what happened so that you can't hide from it.
