I'm always honest when I write any of my reviews. This one that was a little bit hard for me. I always see it on social media and everyone always talking about it. Now keep in mind we went on a Saturday in the afternoon. We were the only people there. I was surprised to find out the place opens till 3:30 in the morning!! The place can use a little bit of extra cleaning on the tables and the floors. The food is really good! I feel like it's overpriced, that's just my opinion. The chicken Shawarma salad is pretty big no lie! It was really good. I wish they had it in a different kind of container where it wasn't so flimsy. A can of soda was $3.25. Just a can! No cup no ice the soda was cold though. It was nice to see the Meat cut outside. Will I be back probably not. I hated seating there listening to the music that was pretty religious. I mean, you can keep the same Middle Eastern music, but not religious. It kills the vibe. Anyhow, check it out for yourself.

Great shawerma but be prepared to wait! The shawerma here is great and halal and its usually always busy for a reason. I usually get the chicken loca and I try getting the 24 inch since its a better value, but that leads me to price where this place is quite pricey for a shawerma wrap. The flavors are great tho, the chicken is perfectly cooked and the wrap was perfectly made.

Food here was awful! Service is non existant. Theres a self serve kiosk that doesn't really explain what your dish comes with, you can only add what you don't want. It's just terrible. Menu is confusing. Extremely overpriced for what you receive. There's no hummus or falafel or anything that you'd expect from a standard typical Mediterranean food place. The soggy fries were terrible. The place was empty but our two plates still took 20 minutes to come out. There was a homeless guy asking for food and whoever was in the kitchen seemed more attentive and gave him food before ours. I wouldn't recomend eating here.

My cousin has been talking about this place and we finally tried it out. I decided to get the 24" chicken loca/beef combo plate. The combo plate comes with fries, garlic sauce, mixed pickled veggies and coleslaw. I really liked their boom sauce the most. As for the wrap, I would get the chicken again. The beef was also flavorful but I preferred the chicken. I wish their garlic sauce was more garlicky since it was a bit bland for my liking. My cousin also got the boom boom cocktail. I think the base is a banana smoothie since that's what it tasted to me. I loved the fruit toppings it came with aong with the nuts and cream. The cocktail was not too sweet and everythign paired well. The worker also gave my nephew a sample of their fruit punch which was yummy. Overall, the food was good, service was great and there's plenty of seating inside.

Perfect place for lunch or brunch. Very divey and service was fast. I love the vibe it's fun and also great art all around. I will definitely be back and highly recommend for a quick bite. So many yummy food and drink options!

The staff treats you like family the moment you walk in, and the service is fast, warm, and consistent. Shawarma late night vibes. Definitely one of those places you hit up after a night painting the town. The shawarmas are huge!! The loca sauce gives it a kick and makes every last bite worth it. Although, I do have to say that chicken is a little dry. Was expecting something a little more on juicy and tender side. It was still tasty but, at times chewing on the chicken made it seem like it sitting for a little longer then it is suppose to, I definitely want to come back and hope to get a better chewing experience. Overall though, the service was good and that sauce was on point.

My friend's and I's stomach was twisting and hurting! This is not an exaggeration. This family-owned company needs to listen to what everyone is telling them on YELP. Or, long and behold, they will be out of business. (1) Please tell me why it takes an hour to wait for shawarma? That is unacceptable. I travel all over the gulf, and as I said, unacceptable. Perhaps they got too comfortable. (2) Why is it so greasy? Not even burritos Or tacos are that greasy. Please check your food! Our stomachs should not be twisting and hurting. We were in the area and we decided to come here and eat in this place however we arrived around 6 PM the phrase that we got served it seems like it was whatever leftover from the day before the chicken which is the main course for this restaurant it seems like it was left over two as well very cold meal the place is very dirty the tables are full of stains and black spots it seems like the only taking care of how many meals they can push a day and that's all they care about.? And the thing that surprised me the most I was looking around for that food department sign which usually is hung on the front door if it was a 4 feet or see this restaurant did not have any reading with whatsoever which is very fishy. Very disappointed we write those reviews hopefully they get better because we like to see Shawarma get better. read more

This place is absolutely amazing!!! I am constantly getting hooked up by the people who work here. Whether it's to try a sample of a smoothie or some extra sauce. They're just so amazing. They're meat is the most amazing meat you'll ever have. It's very flavorful and tender. I suggest you eat it as soon as you get it because it taste amazing hot. It just completely melts in your mouth. All in all, COME HERE!! They're open till 2:30 am.... Don't get no fast food! Come get you some real meat!!! read more

We heard about this place even in San Francisco area and couldn't wait to try this famous Shawarma . It is an unusual setup, a truck parked in the gas station parking lot. I was very hesitant to eat here as I never ordered food from a food truck before , but I am glad I gave them a try. Food here is amazingly fresh and delicious. It is not just a typical wrap that you get at other places, their wraps and food in general are special. Juicy , tasty meats , amazing sauces and spice nicely balanced - just a perfect combo! Everyone working there was friendly, and prices are fair. We can't wait to visit you guys again! Boom-boom ! read more

I think there's Shawarma is good . But It definitely needs some work. The shawarma boom is good because it has melted cheese and that with their toum is good but I almost feel like the chicken is dry. I've also felt like their portions have definitely gotten smaller. read more

This was my first time trying this place out and honestly I did not care for the food. There wasn't anything wrong with it at all, it just wasn't up my alley. It was empty when I went (5pm on a Saturday) and the girl who took my order was sort of quiet, I get it they're in a tight truck and the weather is over a 100* She told me if I ordered combo number... 24 I think it was, I would be able to get both chicken and beef rolls. They served me up pretty quickly but one thing I didn't like is that they announced garlic fries and it was just plain season crinkle fries. The entire plate cost $20 which I thought was a little steep but it's okay. The coleslaw wasn't really cold it got hot with the food, and the rolls themselves were a little bland. Again I'm NOT native to this cuisine so please don't take my review to heart, after all what the heck would I know right? Check them out on IG they seem like tons of fun! read more

I love shwarma loca. This hidden gem deserves love. Delicious and consistent taste. The sauce is amazing and it compliments the the shwarma. I always ask for extra sauce because I drench every bite with it. The guy at the register was friendly and showed great hospitality, he checked on us regularly and even gave us some tahini sauce to try. Open late for whenever you wanna switch up from getting tacos. Not worth the wait. When I walked in it was not busy and only 2 people in line to order. Took the cashier about 20 minutes to get through them and when I was ready to order he was just walking around in the back. The chicken shawarma wrap is SO GOOD. As simple as it is with just chicken, some pickles, and I'm not even sure if there was any sauce in it - it was one of the best wraps I've ever had in my life! If I could have this once a week I'd be so happy. If you happen to come across this food truck, I promise you the chicken wrap will blow you away. Can't speak on the other menu items but If they're anywhere close to being as good as the wrap, I'm sure it's all just as good. read more

I used to come here all the time with a couple of my friends. All the workers here are amazing and we befriended a few. Haven't been here in a while but I do plan on returning whenever I'm in Anaheim again. Their hookah is good but not always available. Their food is decent but i never go there for the food just the hookah, and I love their outdoor seating area. That's were we always decide to sit and get the hookah out with their heater next to us. I wish they served hookah every day or at least the days I go . Solid nonetheless. read more

This shawarma spot will make you loco over their halal meats/ingredients & addicting boom boom sauce. The dalahtime truck in front is amazing for wraps and burgers too. A fun friendly vibe right when you walk in with artistic walls & spacious indoor/outdoor dining. And rockstar service & hospitality from all the workers. Had been seeing them build out this place for a while and was really looking forward to a great shawerma place nearby.. One of my faves, last time I went, quality had fallen pretty far since Covid and all. Didnt quite understand the menu.. there were Combos and wraps.. I asked what the difference between the choices were, and was told the sauce. Ok. Another weird thing.. the difference between a 12" and 24" was $15 vs $20.. So twice as much is only $5 more? Didnt quite make sense to me at the time.. but I still opted for the smaller. In the Combo, I got fries, a smattering of pickles, and a sad unripe cherry tomato, a container of (Im assuming Toum), and the 'shawerma' The fries... were great.. perfectly cooked how I like them, and a decent (not overly generous) amount. Pickles.. are pickles. The coleslaw.. ok.. slightly sweet.. had corn. Now.. the Shawerma... you get a sad puny burrito like thing. I ordered the loco.. so it had a slightly spicy, thousand islandy type sauce.. and that was all I could really taste.. The chicken... was barely there.. I had to open it to see if there actually was any chicken... (now I understand why twice as much is only and additional $5.) Honestly.. it tasted like a taco bell chicken quesadilla or something like that.. but it definitely had taco bell vibes to it. My advice is to find another shawerma place down the street.. or if you want a cheaper option than $15.. grab a Taco Bell Chicken Quesadilla.. think they are about $2. After writing this review.. I did review pictures of other peoples food.. I definitely got less chicken than other pictures.. honestly.. couldnt even tell it had chicken in it.. sad read more

Disappointed. I used to be obsessed over the shawarma when it was served from the truck. But I feel like some places are just meant to stay in trucks. The shawarma lacks the quality it had. Now let's talk about the FRIES. Which is why I came on here. I got the chicken combo , and the fries were stale like they were sitting there for at least a day. To think after they made me wait for 30 min for my order, when it wasn't busy to AT LEAST get some fresh fries . The slaw needed refrigeration, it was warm, which I did not enjoy, and the garlic sauce isn't really my favorite, it takes more like mayo than garlic ( I am a thoum fanatic) . Word of advice : train your employees to give the same quality of food, you would . Oh and also the hype you gave too. read more

I'm soo disappointed!! When they had the food truck they were way quicker now that they have opened up a location the service got worse! Such bad service like everyone says in the comments. No smiles no homely service and this is a Jordanian place which Jordanians have the best accommodations and service. And the food is delicious but unfortunately not for over an hour wait for food that's ridiculous and on top of that they don't answer their phones. They should go back to the food truck or spend some money on more employees and some training in customer service. Unfortunately my whole family and friends will not be returning until they fix their service. Update** we finally got our food after an 1 hour and a half of waiting! Which is absurd. And they got horrible at making their food so cheap. The chicken garlic traditional shawarma had like no garlic and one little piece of pickle. The meat shawarma had barely any tahini sauce and onions. Now we will definitely not be coming back!! What a shame. They should have stayed in the truck. read more

Restaurants are all about customer service and food quality Been supporting this place for years but it's been going downhill with the food quality and the service is never on point Always moody and grumpy employees, but now even the food is greasy and oily like never before We understand busy hours but waiting for an hour to get a shawarma wrap is unacceptable. Fix your service and bring back the quality to keep your customers instead of wasting time filming for the Instagram hype. read more

Lamb Skewers - 4.5/5 the portion was very generous! $15 for 3 large skewers that was about 1.25 ft length each. Was perfectly grilled and did not taste gamey at all. I believe it was Szechuan pepper that seasoned the skewers. I didn't eat enough to recognize if there was any numbing, but the bite that I took was amazing. Outside was crunchy inside was chewy enough to enjoy, but not tough. Grilled rib - 5/5 I was very pleasantly surprised at how although it was very charred and crunchy in the outside that the inside was very soft and fatty. The meat literally fell off the bone. Again, no gaminess and very pleasant to enjoy. Shank - 5/5 I would have to say that this was the hero of the evening from all the dishes we ordered. The meat was extremely soft, fatty, and literally fell off the bone as I was holding it up. It was very similar to pork flavor and extremely enjoyable for me. On a separate note, I enjoyed that so much but because I had already eaten before this dinner, I came back a separate day to have that dish for myself. The rice seems to be cooked in some type of protein broth and if I had to guess it's probably lamb broth along with carrot. It also came with size of pickled items to lighten the fatness from the meat as well as a small bowl of lamb based soup. Homemade yogurt - 4/5 had a slight tartness to it and light sweetness, but was more leaning towards the sweet side of things. I enjoyed it with the dried raisins and the granola for texture and it was a pretty good ending to the entire meal. Coleslaw - 3/5 it tasted average and didn't seem to be anything special. Though it was good to have it along with all the other protein items to lighten up each bite.

Alright, so you guys want a review about this sweatshop, I got you. Let's go ahead and begin from the start of the experience step by step. I went ahead and went to the cashier to order my usual shawarma mix box.. "itll be $21.42 sir, okay great, here is my chase freedom flex card so you could charge for me for this food" "No we only take cash" "Oh that's weird, I was just here a couple weeks ago and I paid with my card no problem, I don't really carry cash" "no problem, you can just zelle us" Now as soon as I heard "either zelle or cash," I thought to myself wow I knew businesses hid income from the IRS but I never thought they'd do it this openly and confidently... whatever, do you, here is the zelle, thanks for keeping taxpayer money safe in your vault. Your order number is 51. Awesome. I am sitting and waiting, 5 minutes turned into 10 turned into 30 turned into 50. I am sitting and looking at the huge Palestinian flag they have hung up behind the counter and just thinking I can probably go free palestine and come back and my food will still not be ready. An hour and 20 minutes later, sir here is order number 51, "great" I am muttering to myself as I am ready to dive in... or so I thought. I open up my box to find nothing but chicken and not the mix like I ask. I go inside and show them my receipt and let them know I ordered a mix and I received all chicken. I swear to the allah that they have banners of up on all their walls, I was met by two children not older than my cousins take the order from me and go try to fix my issue. The little girl comes back to me and tells me "there is no problem with your food" I tell her, "no honey, I ordered a mix like my receipt says here but I got just chicken" and I swear to you, she said "yes so what's the problem" Now I am not gonna get into a debate with a child that probably has to go home and do her multiplication tables due tomorrow, so I ask her to go get an adult. Her slightly older brother comes in and I explain the situation and definitely feel heard now that I am speaking to a 5th grader and not a 4th grader. The mother comes in because at this point this is looking like "what kind of pedophilia tactic is this" to the other people right?? I mean I know their prophet was bedding a 9 year old but that's not our way. The mother then asks the situation and I tell her and she said well its a 15 minute wait time for the beef and that is why we just gave you chicken. Now I am thinking if FIFTEEN MINUTES really bothered you this much, what about the hour 20 I did wait? Why assume another 15 was gonna be my 13th reason and so you gave me the food you thought I wanted. They fix it, whatever. Here is the fixed order, "great can i get some napkins?" "no theres already some in the bag" "I understand, I'd like a couple more because i tend to be a messy eater" "No when you need more come get more" Alright.. they're just napkins whatever. I go open up my box to see a HEALTHY serving of fries, and by healthy I mean they try their best to keep you healthy because they only give you 6 fries. I eat my shawarma, and as I am leaving I see a guy who just ordered 10 minutes ago go up and ask for an update on his food and i just can't help but look and laugh. I let him know to go order an appetizer elsewhere because that optimism isn't gonna get him anywhere here. La ilah ila allah as their banner says because that's exactly what I am thinking every time i deal with their customer service.. I mean i thought eating in the middle east was unclean, but seeing the children with their bare hands and no masks go make my food just put the cherry on top for me. On August 4rth at 10:30 pm I stopped in for a quick bite, from the moment I walked in I had an uneasy feeling. But as I hadn't eaten all day from working I had to eat something. I waited in line about a half hour, the unkempt fat lady behind the counter was yelling "Next" to move the line. The reason the line wasn't moving was because the guy at later time came to find out his name ( FARES ) filthy stinky unshaved beard behind the counter was hitting on some young Asian girl telling her the whole history of the Shravana and pretending to be the king of shawarma ignoring customers. Finally it was my turn and I ordered the Beef Shawarma Sandwich and 20 minutes later I got my food and it was Chicken instead of beef. I brought it to the attention of the fat obnoxious lady behind the counter and rather then remake the sandwich, the lady started arguing about my order. As we went back and forth, I explained I paid for a Beef Sandwich and you gave me chicken, why argue? The guy behind the counter got involved and the lady told him I was crazy. Finally, they made me the correct sandwich, but only after 10 minutes of arguing. Not to my surprise, the food was as nasty as the lady's attitude. These people are in the food service business, there should have total respect for the customers because we keep the doors open. They need to learn some manners here and not treat people like garbage, the worst part is if you dare to ask for a glass of water they will yell at you as if you have committed a crime and force you into buying a bottle of water such scammers not to mention it's against health rules not to serve water as curtesy most restaurants treat customers well that is why they endure. But these people act like they are the only shawarma place in the world. Poor. character Get your heads out of your butts and learn customer service. most likely this lady comes from a Getto back round never seen money in her life and now she thinks Shes a big shot selling shawarma . If you're going to have a garbage attitude at the very least make a good product. By far the worst shawarma experience!! I ordered the 12 inch combo and 24 inch combo, when I opened the boxes I couldn't tell which is which! You would think the 24inch would be visibly bigger than a 12 inch, but they looked like the same exact amount of food!!! Both orders seemed like a 12inch... seriously what a scam! And how does a double only cost $5 more??? It does not make sense. The sandwiches were not all full with chicken. The salad cup was only half full, like why?? You're charging $15/$20!!! I would've put everything I mentioned above past me, if the place was clean. After I ordered, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. The bathroom was disgusting, it almost felt like an abandoned bathroom at a gas station in the middle of nowhere. The bathroom was dirty with no soap, toilet paper, paper towel, and there was a big black plastic bag sitting on the toilet with a bottle in it. I felt disgusted! Inside the restaurant all the tables were clearly dirty and the glass had smudges all over it (keep in mind we got there at 6:30 and they open at 5 and the restaurant was empty. Clearly, cleaning is not part of their opening or closing duties!!!!). We decided to sit outside hoping it would be cleaner, outside was even worse! There was DIRT everywhere, spider webs, tables not wiped down. It honestly gave me abandoned place vibes and I'm not exaggerating sadly! The worst restaurant ambiance I have ever experienced! They have zero respect for their customers by not doing the bare minimum to maintain sanitation. I felt like I was about to vomit through out the experience (I'm not kidding, I almost did). I will never come back again. This place used to be one of my favorite when they sold food out of a truck, now it's a dump where they over charge for food but fail to maintain minimal sanitation standards. I came across Shawarma Loca on social media and it seemed like a fun and different take on shawarma. The talk of coal grilled shawarma had me excited for a unique flavor, but during our weekend visit, it was the standard gas stove setup. Not a big deal, just a different from what I was expecting. The food itself was good, although they went for an unconventional move--serving it on a chopped-up flour tortilla, divided into six pieces. I prefer the traditional pita or a heartier bread, so that was a bit unexpected. We got the 24' Shawarma's which were 2 sandwiches, cut up served with hot potato wedges and some veggies. One letdown was the zaytun (olives). Hoping for something with that unique middle eastern brine and saltiness, but they were just your typical canned black olives, like the ones you'd find on pizza. A bit disappointing on the flavor front. Overall, I'd rate it a respectable 4 out of 5. Visiting from AZ and decided to try Shawarma Loca after seeing the reviews online. Well, it is easy to say the place did not disappoint by no means at all. This is certainly one of the best shawarma we've had on the west coast. We tried both the chicken and beef shawarma with the different sauces they have. Both are amazing and we loved the Loca and Boom sauces. Took the recommendation from one of the guys there for a fresh fruit juice and his mix was a winner with the kids. What was nice as well is the friendliness and care presented by the team, it's becoming harder to find restaurant owners and staff that actually care and go the next step to attend to their clients. They do a great job both taste and authenticity of the shawarmas. i get both beef and chicken everytime and it is remarkable. I'm not even from Cali, but before I visit Cali I always make every effort to come to this place and eat my heart out. garlic sauce is authentic and delicious. I would come from more than a thousand miles for this place. i talked to the owner and they brought the recipe from Jordan itself. As a Syrian I'd say it is very close if not the exact replica of Jordanian Syrian and many Arab countries' shawarmas. I have been to many states and it is truly rare to find this authentic taste anywhere. this is the first review I have ever written about any restaurant and I'd have to say this is the best shawarma place in California. read more

The restaurant was not busy, but the seating options were very limited. There were only a couple of booths and a few high tables with thin metal stools, with no regular, comfortable seating available. We ended up sitting outside, where the table was cold and wet, and the seating was uncomfortable, especially the metal chairs. Because of this, we weren't able to fully enjoy our meal and left before finishing. We ordered the chicken shawarma, which was delicious, and the food itself was good. Unfortunately, the uncomfortable seating and cold setup took away from what could have been a great dining experience. I visited a the restaurant and I was blown away by the excellent service provided by the juice bar employee I think his name Mo or something like that. Despite it being late in the day, his sunny disposition and kind demeanor never wavered. Not only was he incredibly skilled at making delicious juices, but he also made sure to take the time to chat with each customer and make them feel welcome. It's rare to encounter someone with such a positive attitude and genuine kindness, and I left the restaurant feeling uplifted and grateful for the experience. Guys... don't go here. I'm serious. This place is dangerous. The food is so ridiculously delicious it should be illegal. First, they hit you with the new chicken tenders -- crispy outside, juicy inside, perfectly seasoned. Then, just when you think you're safe, they throw Nutella with Knafeh and Dubai chocolate at you.
