Really nice old building with several rooms to sit in. Bar area is small but inviting. Lots of varied seating choices. This was easily the best of four pubs we went to during our stay on the peninsula. - Rockfish and fries: best of three 'fish n chips' I tried at various places. - Potato cake topped with smoked salmon, excellent. It's an appetizer so not huge. - Draft beer selection is small but adequate. - Top tier service, friendly, attentive.

The oysters in undisclosed sauces but sorta cute

Caring service. But they don't warn you that the oysters are lost in the batter and the frying oil needs a change. If these were local oysters they were very small and tasteless.

One of my favorite places to eat whenever I'm in town. Service is always great and the food never disappoints.

After going to a restaurant that was closed and one where we needed a reservation, we ended up at Shelburne Pub on a recommendation. The inside and outside is beautiful. This would be a lovely place to dine if a few things changed and improved. First off, we walked in and a lady said hello, but then we just stood there for a minute until she asked us if we had a reservation. I did make one 15 minutes before arriving, but she didn't even ask for my name or anything. Instead she just took us to a table as if it didn't even matter. The service was very slow and at the time there was only one other family dining in. I wasn't sure why it was so slow because there were two ladies working. I didn't get a chance to look at the menu before coming, but it's very eclectic. You will not see most of these items at any old restuarant. I believe they also have a rotating menu, which is cool, but this place is definitely not for picky eaters. I opted for the gnocchi and it had to be the most flavorless meal I've ever eaten. I don't think the chef used any spices or seasonings and for a more expensive dining experience you think it would've been at least decent. My sister got the steak and for $30 she also said it wasn't very good. Lastly, the note on the check was very confusing. We read it multiple times and were dumbfounded. They charge an 18% living wage fee but only 7% of that goes to the waitress? So you still feel obligated to give another tip. Honestly just sounds like a big scam to get more money.. I don't know. Definitely very disappointed because the meal was expensive and they tack on that extra 18% charge.

Ok the first strike was not having any beer on tap darker than a red. How many IPAs do you need? You have a porter beef stew on the menu, but no Porter on tap? Come on. But the big issue is this "Living Wage Charge." 18% on top of the bill, but only 7% goes to the server. (I hope. It technically says 7% of the 18% but I'm HOPING that's a grammatical error.) So the other 11% goes to....the restaurant. Why? To pay their employees a living wage? Uh.... that's what you're SUPPOSED to be doing, without charging me extra for it. Raise your prices if you have to, but don't add this passive aggressive whiny charge. Also worth noting that for some reason they don't have to charge sales tax on this "charge." What's that about? Also, this sort of charge has the effect of lowering tips, since customers feel they're already being forced to tip. But the server is only getting 7%. That's a terrible tip. Shame on this pub for this shoddy business practice. (Second star because my wife said the creme brûlée was excellent. And the atmosphere was nice.)

Delicious drinks! (We tried many that I forgot to take pictures of!)

5 stars all around. The service here is wonderful the atmosphere is the absolute cutest and such a fun local landmark. We didn't have a ton of food here but the food we did have was delicious!! We actually stayed at the hotel, which was the cutest! We came for a weekend getaway to celebrate our recent engagement and it was such a little slice of heaven. We went down for a snack and drinks the night we got in and sat at the bar. We ordered the wings which had incredible sauce! Love the whole wings and they're fried twice making the skin extra crunchy which I love! Sharon was our bartender one day and our server the second night where we just got some drinks and fries. She was a delight. She was making delicious drinks and we got to know her and some of the other locals it was very fun. She's such a hard worker and one hell of a bartender. We also got to meet the chef de cuisine, Alex. Who was awesome and we got to talking and bonded over delicious food! She's a rockstar and makes some killer food! Fun fact she's on some cooking tv shows and that was an awesome surprise! We want to def tune in! And we're gonna cheer here in if she's ever on another one!! Anyway we had a blast and everything of what we had here was delicious. We will definitely come again and suggest it to others! Such a fun spot!

I was really conflicted on what to get here but Leah told me the spanakopita (which is my second choice over the Sablefish). We ordered the chickpea appetizer and the beet chips. Very good. I ordered a bottle of Patton Valley Vineyards Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley and I of course, because when in Rome, I had an Absinthe. Party of 5 and everyone was in love. Prices are commensurate with the food.

The food was 5 stars - but the service was very very slow. All of the staff were very friendly however it seemed they were possibly overwhelmed with the amount of guests they had that night, I'm not sure. Again , the food was wonderful ! From ordering to waiting for our check -- 7:30pm to 10pm- that's how long it took. We asked for a dessert menu and it took around 15 minutes to get a server to bring one, but we had just decided it was time to call it an evening. We had 4 adults and a 4yr old child with us. We ordered the burger, fish and chips, lamb shank, young greens, mushroom bruschetta and a kids pasta w butter sauce. All delicious and hearty portions.

While I understand being the only person there to serve and what not, a prompt warning that the only flavor of pie was most definitely over a week old, soggy as could be, and full of undercooked, under mixed raw flour would have been human decency. To say this is the last time I will stop here is an understatement. Not to mention they charged me $16.75 for two slices on this paper plate and wrap. For a moment, I thought I had somehow took a wrong turn and had driven into rural Ireland. I was curious. I knew I had to check it out on our return drive home later in the day. Unfortunately, the hours posted to Yelp and Google were incorrect; either that, or the proprietors had closed early that Sunday night. Either way, they were gracious enough to let us poke about a bit before leaving, and I have to say, we will likely be making a special trip to revisit this place in the near future. The interior is warm, dimly lit, and filled with the heartwarming aroma of wood smoke from the black iron furnace, and Irish stew simmering in the kitchen. Lots of love and personal touches have been included in the interior decor: vintage artwork, framed and loose pictures, posters and newspaper clippings, antiques, tchotchkies, your standard neon bar signs, and hard wood furniture. It looks and feels lived in: a living history museum of the region, which apparently has more history than one would ascertain from driving through this tiny hamlet. Looking forward to knocking back a few drinks and enjoying a hearty meal here someday soon.
