We've been ordering crabs from She's Got Crabs (Parkton location) for many years. Have always got fresh cooked, heavy crabs as promised. Usually get Monsters, or Extra Large, but they were sold out. So we got Large. They were really good also, and only got one crab that was a smaller size, but still good. We don't even try other places. You can get brown paper rolls and mallets if you need them - no charge. It's worth the drive, and we live in PA. Don't hesitate to go there. read more

Pre-ordered a dozen "monster crabs" for mothers day and when i went to pick them up, the bag contained medium large crabs. All of the crabs were light and only had 2-4 claws on them. When questioning them the guy said they are monsters, go look at Conrads. They should be ashamed of themselves and to see people lined, they have no idea what they are buying. Additionally the girl ringing people up had attitude. We wont be back nor bamboozled. read more

The attitude and bait and switch from the staff along with the waterlogged, empty crabs are the reason for my one star review. Was quoted one price and when we got there it jumped up $30. The staff could not care less. 95% of the crabs were full of water and/or mostly empty inside. Well never get crabs from here again. read more

You call them during the week to order for the weekend to get a discount. You go to pick up your crabs on Sunday only to find out that they don't have any record of an order for you. For Mother's Day, they did not meet expectations. We ordered two dozen large male crabs. The crabs we received were small/ water logged. Definitely a rip-off. Their crab were really good in past years but on Mother's Day they were a real disappointment. They will not get our business any longer. Ordered a 1/2 bushel of what was supposedly "jumbo" and a good 75% of them were anything but. We decided to pay the extra $70 for jumbos and we expected them all to be at least 7" as we were told. Below is a picture of what at least half of them were. I didn't want to have to leave a review as I'm always willing to give local businesses another chance, but even after emailing them I got no response. Avoid this shady business. Had crabs from here last weekend- $130 for 2 dozen large males. The crabs were ordered in advance and ready upon pickup. Free paper and mallets provided. Once we dug into them, we were pleased- all were quite full considering how early in the season it is! I agree with some of the other reviews that the seasoning was sort of clumpy and not evenly distributed, but honestly it didn't keep me from enjoying the hell out of these crabs! Yum! read more

She's Got Crabs is a small location, almost like a pop-up shop for crabs, on the edge of Whitecomb's Farm Market. There is no dining space or even a building to enter: you drive up, hop out, and pick up your crabs under the tent. This made it easy to miss if passing by, but it's definitely worth the find. Not only were the crabs fantastic, but the prices and sizes are also reasonable. We ordered a dozen jumbo, or in their words "monster," crabs on a Friday evening for $85, but small-large sizes were also available ranging from $35-$60. The man who helped us at the shop was very kind and professional, the crabs were ready at the designated pickup time, and he even threw in a free roll of paper. Worthy of a Maryland summer, the entire dozen was absolutely delicious and HUGE. The meat was fresh and hearty in each crab and everything was seasoned to perfection. The only thing to keep in mind when ordering is that this location is only open on the weekends (Friday-Sunday) and it is rather busy, which is not conducive to the small location and parking lot. But with a bit of planning, She's Got Crabs is a perfect fix for Maryland crab enthusiasts. TL;DR: She's Got Crabs has my vote for summer crab feasts. read more

I loved my crabs they were Lg Fat-n-Full perfectly spiced! I won crabs over a year ago from them and I haven't bought Crabs from no one but. I do not understand the bad reviews on here, I am about the most picky person there is and I would not go back if they did not make me happy. A large crab is only a half inch bigger then a small crab and some people can't grasp that. You will get the best deal and actual fresh live crabs from here. All other places around pre steam their crabs to make their product last longer. She's got crabs has been the only place I have been always able to get live crabs. I have always been very satisfied with crabs from here.I live in Florida. When I come to PA, I always buy several dozens for family. This time I bought 4 dozen for 160.00. I picked up on Thursday at 4 30. They close at 5. Family met at 6. Approx 30 % of our crabs were all water. We opened shells and the water just poured out. I had a wedding on Friday. So I called on Saturday appox 345. Eli stated he could not offer me a credit because 1. They can not tell if crabs are good or not until they are opened. 2. I had made a purchase that was a "special"..so 8 should not expect good crabs? 3. I had not called immediately...keep in mind they closed prior to us even starting to eat..and I had a wedding at 2 on fri...and their hours are 2 to 5...sorry I did not take time out of a wedding to call. He did say if I made another purchase he would make sure I got good crabs. However remember he just told me they can't tell if the crabs are good until they are opened. Hmmmm disappointed. I ordered the large males and the small/mediums. The large males were 70.00 a dozen and the small/mediums were 40.00. ALL of the crabs were smalls. There were NO larges at all. This is the second time this happend! I ordered crabs earlier in the spring (again larges) and they were mostly smalls with some mediums mixed in. I figured I would give them a second chance. Order two dozen large crabs for fathers day, however they were not large. In fact, some of them were barely even legal according to Maryland state law. Now I ate them, and I didn't complain because I was able to get them on fathers day, but under normal circumstances I would have probably raged out. They were good, but super light and tiny. Service was also pretty great, which save this review from being a total stinker It is a shame that a company would pass those for large, but what can you do? Not a whole lot, but hopefully my Yelp review will at least let management know, that it wasn't quite right. It appears other yelpers have a similar opinion. They came through for me again! Got a couple dozen small/mediums last night. On the small side- yeah, but as I mentioned previously in my review- they were all heavy for their size all still kicking when I got them home. Folks complaining about the size- know that crab sizes are *relative*. The large you had somewhere last night does not mean the large you have tonight will be the same size. "Large" means large compared to the other crabs they have- not compared to all the other crabs you've had in your life. This is a product of *God*- not WalMart. It's sad to me that so many Marylanders don't get this. In Maryland, there is no standard "large", "medium" or "small". It's whatever is coming up at the time. It's not the fault of the place serving it. Today's whale is tomorrow's medium. Crabs are running small this year. Unless you have a firm grip on what other places are offering *this day*- knock it off. Judge a crab by its quality, not size. A nice little perk- they threw in about eight feet of butcher's paper to cover the table. I can't believe more crab places haven't thought of this. It's an extra that costs the establishment little but is a HUGE benefit for the customer. It makes for a really neat table and easy clean up- great thinking SGC! read more

I pre-order my crabs before Wednesday to get the discount. My crabs are always hot and ready to pick up on time. I've never gotten a bad batch from these guys . I order a bushel or more 5 times a summer and they always give me more than i pay for. Crabs are full and juicy . There seasoning is a slight bit more spicy than old bay season which i love. My wife doesn't enjoy spicy food as i do but she enjoys these crabs as they are not unbearably to hot for her. Only issue is half of my crabs are covered with seasoning and some have hardly any. Maybe they could spread it out a little more evenly in the pots but thats just being very picky as overall they are seasoned well. I usually just give the less seasoned crabs to my wife. Prices are 20 to 40 dollars cheaper than most places for a bushel. They are my go to crab guys Previous reviewers: Please have the specifications of crab classifications for sizes before complaining. Everyone gets one or two smaller than normal crabs in their bag.Hello have you ever eaten crabs before? Dont grab the smallest crab you find take a picture and post it claiming the size of all your crabs. Maybe next time post a pick of most of them lined up with the tape measure not just one. My husband and I went to She Got Crabs too in York because I had a taste for Maryland crabs well I order two dozen small / medium sizes crabs and I normally check them before I leave and I wish I did because there were awful there were cooked to long the size was small crabs and there where not from Maryland they came from Louisiana. Horrible crabs. Out of 24, 9 were empty. Another 7 were real light. There was 8 decent crabs but only 3 were kind of larges but the lower limit. So 3 kind of larges out of 24 "larges". Out of thousands of batches I have purchased this was by far the worst. Tried to call and politely say just advertise them as small mediums which they are. Be honest the price was ok if not for so many bad crabs. Why would you set up a business model that is going to piss people off. Be honest of what they are and price accordingly. read more

I just bought a half bushel of large males to find that the crabs were barely legal in size, empty and not even 3 dozen in what was supposed to be a half bushel. Should have been 0 stars. Happy NOT Mothers Day to me....my hubby ordered 1 dozen jumbo crabs for me. He picked them up (about 20 mins late) and we live 5 mins away. What I got was cold/air temp crabs. There is literally no moisture to hold the seasoning, no warmth to the bag they came in. They were Very dry. And very light, 8 of them had little bodies. I did open one to see if they were warm inside and they were not 4 to the right of the first pic were heavy and would have been worth eating. Very disappointed, so I called thinking they would be helpful. The young gentleman I spoke with was not helpful and basically told me there is nothing they can do 3 except offer a $20 store credit. But the problem is the crabs are cold and I don't know how long they have been sitting. I was even willing to bring them back to prove what he gave me. But he said no reason to. I will tell you I have ordered and eaten like lots of crabs in my life, this by far is the worst experience ever. Definitely will not be going back and don't recommend. What I think makes the whole situation worse is that they wouldn't try to make it right. $20 store credit on and $80 purchase that I can't eat doesn't seem quite fair or right to me.
