Fast casual/communal dining similar to Chipotle but with soups. Five varieties you can order either a cup or bowl. We went right for the jambalaya however. Comes with chicken, shrimp and anduille(?) sausage. You add fixings like chopped jalapenos, corn salsa, cheese, spinach etc. the bowl isn't quite big enough to share but we weren't super hungry after the downtown Christmas stroll so it hit the spot.

Casual campus-style seating with a beer and game bar. Items ordered: Santa Fe (beef steak) (10/10), Wrap of Khan (shrimp) (9/10) (2 eater, total $24) Food: very tasty, American fusion of Mexican food. Seating: Outdoor and Interior (roomy) Restroom: Clean and available. Parking: not adjacent, but near and available. Price: very reasonable.

The soup and food was warm 3 stars. Not hot . However great dog friendly patio outside and very friendly staff. 5 stars

No wonder our neighbors left most of their nachos...

Decided to try some food when popping in to check out Shine Beer Sanctuary. Decided on the pork Chile verde nachos and some chicken street tacos. It's set up like a subway where you choose your toppings. We chose a few and were very surprised when we were presented with cold chips and the few toppings we chose along the way, including the still cold shredded cheese. We asked if there was an option to heat and melt the cheese, as we are accustomed to nachos with hot melty cheese, like the rest of humanity. We also requested queso upon noticing there was no meltiness or deliciousness about these cold chips. Even after this addition of cheese sauce we had to ask them to melt the cold shredded cheese. The tacos were 100% cold as well! We decided against beers after noting the $7-8 price per pint! Would not recommend.

I came in here for the first time since they've remodeled and combined restaurants. You walk in and go around the corner to order. Food is made as you order and pay so you have it immediately when you're leaving the register. They have open seating with long tables and benches. You can also grab a beer/sour/cider from Shine Beer Sanctuary. It is has a relaxed, friendly environment. You can get food and a drink, or just grab a drink and play some games. Their selection of food is more burritos/bowls, soups, and salads. Prices were fitting to what I would expect around Bozeman. I got the Backwater Bayou in a bowl--the fish was really delicious but next time I'll either try it as a burrito or fish tacos.

looks like a burrito, tastes nothing like one. *sad face*

Good, fun local place with unusual, but delicious burritos. Can't go wrong stopping here for lunch.

Not great. Not much flavor. Bland flavors. Wouldn't recommend for good Mexican food. Burrito shop, not a Mexican restaurant.

Awesome fish tacos and wasabi sauce! Was very impressed coming from Texas where great taco places are a dime a dozen.

Highly recommend the fish tacos. We only ate here once but would return on our next visit to Bozeman. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

We love the wrap of Kahn, The Bombay and the Backwater Bayou but the Caesar salad with wild salmon is so good too!

I was talking to the kitchen staff and told them that AI told me about the dumplings and to please hold an order in case I had to take it to go. Front of house Staff were great, the kitchen were guys amazing, and the place was clean The ppl I sat around were all very happy with their food. One couple lived in Bozeman and the other couple were from New Orleans. They both spoke highly of the place. Go try it. Call ahead. I tend to wing it and that's not the best way to go. I got lucky :) David

When we arrived we apologized for being late - the guy who seated us informed us as he hustled us to our seats, that we'd need to move fast because they still have another seating after us as we were seated at the bar in the back. (We had not planned to spend a lot of time at dinner) but with the pressure on, we ordered within 3 mins of sitting down. The food came out fast, so fast that the kitchen brought out double of what we ordered at least 3x and we had to tell them each time we had already gotten our dishes. They even brought one once our leftovers were boxed up. That being said, our dinner was great, I love khao soi and I thought theirs was great. The tomato salad was great, and cabbage was yummy. We were in and out in an hour given what we were told. No one said good bye as we left. It was like we were ghosts.

Another nice feature: the menu prices seem to be adjusted to include tips because the payment system didn't prompt for one. The big problem is the food itself: I feel obligated to warn you. Wow. Please read the menu descriptions carefully and ask questions. Don't trust photos. Don't expect this food to taste anything like the same item at another restaurant. The beef udon noodles came out wet and not hot. Lots of water pooled in the bottom. The sauce on top was like marinara. Never seen udon served this way. Ever. I'm hoping this doesn't start a trend. The fried rice was not fried. And, in fact, was also not hot. Our experience was so obviously and immediately disappointing (I took a quick bite to gauge heat and choose condiments) that I tried to warn others behind us in line. Yikes! I hope SOMETHING on her menu is awesome and she thrives while eliminating these dishes.

What a huge surprise and disappointment - the server handed me one of this store bought ramen mixes that you add hot water too and the noodles become soft. I didn't even eat it I was so frustrated - this is a $1.73 product that they passed off as "real" ramen (big noodles, fresh vegies, real beef, etc.) What a huge disappointment - should not be invited back next year to festival.
