Ok, the Yelper who complained that the guac is brown is right, at least today. I just grabbed a veggie burrito and the guac was indeed brownish. But the dang burrito tasted good and it had a nice spicy sauce kick (per my request). Portions are good, prices are low, the staff is certainly friendly. It's WAY better than that chain of burrito shops and they have a nice selection of meats/vegetarian options. I'd come back next time I'm in town. read more

This is definitely my favorite burrito place in Bozeman. If you've never been there before, be prepared that it's definitely QSR. They're used to moving through the line fast, especially during rush times, and oftentimes, the person in the back of the kitchen is the one taking your initial order (as they're the ones assembling the basics of the burritos). I haven't found the staff to be rude, but they're definitely used to a fast pace (they serve some pretty intense rushes, and they do it fast and well, in a tiny space). I highly recommend the Wrap of Khan (Chicken Khan), and their house-made salsas are awesome, too. Also, you can get LaPa delivered through Cafe Courier, and it still comes hot. I've never had bad food here, and this is definitely a local staple. read more

First time here. The wife and I split an order of the fish tacos and an order of chips and salsa. The salsa was good and homemade too. However the chips were store bought and nothing special. The fish tacos were decent but not impressive. Staff was friendly and prices reasonable. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. While we were waiting to place our order there were about 5 or 6 guys ahead of us and they were all ordering burritos. Next time we'll either try a burrito or go somewhere else. read more

The burritos here are tasty and definitely filling. Same with the wraps. Good prices and fast service. It really is a lot like Chipotle, but the atmosphere is less corporate, for obvious reasons. My favorite part was the wide variety of salsas available to top your meal. It's been fairly crowded whenever I've been in, but it's never been a problem because they're so speedy. read more

This place is terrible, wanna be Chipotle although the staff is worse and more robotic. Asked questions with no answers. You might be ok I f you can decipher the menu while they are asking "in a wrap? In a wrap? In a wrap?" Good luck! Since I my world a burrito is not a wrap and their menu says burrito. The concept of wild caught salmon and buffalo in a burrito or salad is good but the concept is executed poorly and the kitchen is a disgusting disaster. My wife and I both love this place and go often, living in BZN. Hard to go wrong with any offering....customs fillings right before you. Friendly, fun staff. Always fresh ingredients. Both burritos and wraps are great. We like this MUCH better than Chipotle Mexican Grill, sorry! We are very lucky to have this great, fun place in bozeman. Sometimes a bit skimpy on parking when crowded and outside seating being used in nice weather. Very reasonably priced.....large servings....sometimes need a "brown bag". :-) On OUR recommended list! read more

Very unique yummy burritos. My husband and I got the buffalo gypsy and wrap of khan burritos. My husband thought his Khan was the best burrito he'd ever had (he's a long time Chipolte fan). I feel they are two different of burritos to compare and love them both, depending on my mood. Our only advise is that one of the recommended toppings on both was a wasabi sauce which we HIGHLY recommend asking for it to be put on lightly (I'd actually ask for it without), it over powered the burrito, and I feel I missed out on some of the other flavor. But overall it was great! Also some allergy info that might help a few, our son has peanut/tree nut allergies. We ended up getting a quesadilla for him but in hind sight it really should have just been a mommy/ daddy dinner. They make a peanut sauce in house, and staff was knowledgeable that it can sometimes drop into the bison meat, they wore fresh gloves but as I looked around at people eating the messy yummy burritos I felt uneasy. I feel there was a risk for cross contamination was too high for our little one so my husband and I agreed it'd be a place we'd sneak out to alone. read more

Traveling thru, wanted Mexican food & like to find local. It sounded so good, but my burrito at least didn't live up at all to the positive reviews. I got a Classic chicken burrito, no beans, cheese or sour cream with cilantro lime rice & artichokes, jalapeños, lettuce, habanero salsa & cilantro yogurt. Both the chicken & rice were fairly dry without much taste. There really was no cilantro taste at all. Basically it was food. In addition, the woman starting the process had a real attitude going tonight & the other 2 folks seemed to be trying to make up for it. I try to give folks a pass on that kind of thing, never knowing what's going on in their lives but it was pretty bad. I'd guess there's some better Mexican elsewhere. My go-to for spicy steak burritos ordered for delivery. Absolutely perfect every time, and the spiciness of two lines of their hottest sauce is always a treat. Fish tacos have arrived a bit soggy but are still some of the best flavored I've ever had. Once had a missing burrito from our order but we called, and they had already realized their mistake. Well I'll try to put this the best way that I can...I'm from Bozeman but am currently in Afghanistan and when I think of the food places that I miss the most, La Parilla definitely is at THE top of my list. The food is always fresh and tastes amazing. The staff is friendly and the environment is very chill and relaxing. Try the pineapple habanero sauce!!! It'll change your life!!! Really good burritos. I grew up in California, around some of the best burritos ever. These guys do a real good job and are mostly very friendly (and a few of the girls are really cute!) and you can get in and out pretty quickly. I recommend the Bison Wrap of Khan, or the Bombay Burrito. Both really tasty and the Bayou is the one if you like fish. All thier food rocks. read more

One of my favorites! I wasn't impressed the first couple of times I went there because I didn't get a specialty burrito and made my own. I asked one of the guys that worked there what to get and he suggested the fish tacos. They were bomb diggity. I went back and got the burrito with cat fish in it and it may have been the best think I've ever ate! The fish was freaking awesome. I put wasabi vinaigrette on it and it made it even more awesome. LaPa is starting to feel a bit like a time machine to the 2000's. The vibe is not terribly fresh... witness the reliance on the word "wrap" which hasn't anchored many menus for a decade. And the ski-tune-shop employee attitudes seem less hip and more just out of date these days. However... it's still the place to go for a non-standard burrito. It's still a pleasant place to eat outdoors. And if you close your eyes and hum some Jesus Jones, you'll be right at home! read more

I ate here for the first time last night. When we walked in, the staff seemed very annoyed, standing back In the kitchen just chatting with each other and was rude with a menu question I asked. Then when I was ready to order it took 4 minutes for one of the employees to finally walk over and ask my order. I got the BBQ chicken burrito and the meat was very bland, all I could taste was poorly flavored BBQ sauce. All the available toppings look like they were from a dining hall. Gross packaged guacamole , pinco, and salsa. Not a good experience at all. Would not recommend, more cost effective to go to chilptole or qdoba by far. Even Taco Bell has better service and flavor. read more

This place is a Bozeman Icon! I'm proud to say that I was here when the building was actually on the other side of Babcock street...yes, they moved the actual building! The parking used to be horrible and there was a big square concrete feature right in front on the building that took up half the lot. anyway, they somehow moved it to the other side and re-opened. The food is just what you'd expect from a small burrito shop - fresh, cheap and anything you want. The staff have always been young, hip, tattooed and peirced college kids - always friendly and courteous. And they always thank you for a tip. You can't spend time in Bozeman without having an awesome burrito at LaPa! I love this town, and love la parilla! read more

Not a fan. Advertised cilantro lime rice. Like Chipotle does. Tried this place a couple times as there is no Chipotle in Montana. The rice was just that, rice. Ground beef is apparently never seasoned as it has been both dry and flavorless. Their shredded cheese comes from a giant bulk bag. This place is hugely popular in town but I personally cannot see why. Have not been here for a couple years, so they may have improved. But if you want Mexican this is not the place. read more

No, not good. People in Bozeman like it because the only other place for a burrito is Taco Del Mar. Their standard burritos were so bad I was forced to get their spaghetti and meatball burrito...which they don't make any more because it, as well, wasn't terribly tasty. read more
