After initial issues with ordering I encountered a plastic piece for closing left overs in plastic bag in my salad and had enough of this place. The mixed drink was 80% ice and after -2- slurps the drink was gone. The salad was limp and asked them if I can leave after getting the plastic stuck in my mouth- not even one person asked if I was OK. I had to pay for the full meal $ 61.00, since the steaks were cooked, there was no manager code or manager present, so the price could not be reduced, or...... . I waited for a while and the steaks did not come out and with $61 paid I walked out with mushroom appetizer and -2- slurps of a mixed drink. I left my phone number to get a call back and still waiting. What a shipwreck. I have eaten all over the world, but this is the worst experience I have ever had to get a steak dinner. read more

Went there with 7 on the 07/04. Went inseide had to flag down waitress. Ordered drinks was slow. Ordered appitze and food. Drinks came ok w appitzer. Then didn't see waitress for 1 hour. No napkins and no new drinks. Asked another waitress for drinks and voyr waitress. She said ok I'll find her. She did nothing. 15 mins later I had to find our waitress and ask for drinks and napkins. 5 star location and view of the lake, 4 star patio and outdoor bar. The beer was cold and the drinks were well poured. What a shame that the food does not measure up to those other aspects. Our group of six all ordered fish fry, while it seemed hand battered, it was warm, but not hot. Potato pancakes were a generic fried product, bland and deep fried. Fried green beans were actually pretty good, but cheese curds were just warm, not crispy on the outside like you expect. Maybe there are better items on the menu, there is certainly a wide selection, but I am in the camp of having less items and doing them really well. Live music on the patio is also a nice draw to keep people around, but several technical difficulties were a distraction. We went here for pizza. Got sausage, pepperoni, and vegetable. They all tasted pretty good. The slices are small so I'd say most would eat like 4 pieces so get enough to feed however many your party is. Service took about an hour for three pizzas. Very packed, popular place on the water. read more

This place honestly isn't worth the money. Everything is just frozen and deep fried and up-charged. I stopped there with my mom for dinner and the outside bar/seating area is nice but the inside is okay although there's flies inside so be mindful it doesn't land on your food. We ordered a Reuben and bacon burger with fries. The Reuben was okay, not much flavor. The burger was store bought patties and just heated on their grill. The thing that annoyed me is that each order of fries is $2 extra and they were ice cold. You can tell that whoever made them double fried them and they were still cold. It's not worth the price because each item ended up being about $12, so $24 for the two sandwiches. If you're planning to just be drunk, worth it cause you won't taste it. read more

We came here after its Friday-night All-you-can-eat Walleye fry was recommended to us. It was very busy but the staff made sure we were taken care of. Very kid-friendly, they get skittles after dinner. The food was perfect and the service was great as well. When we get back to the area we are going to try their prime-rib night! read more

If it's busy I would not stay. We had a 20 minute wait to be seated and then were told kitchen was behind so we needed to order right away. We ordered like she suggested but the food took an HOUR! The place is not that big, why would it take that long? The server forgot a salad for a person at our table and never apologized about forgetting or for the extremely long wait. We stopped in on a short weekend / Vacation getaway. I was surprised at how packed it was but it was a weekend . I was more surprised at how quickly we found a seat and how quickly we were greeted and served our favorite beer '''Stella Artois'' finished off the evening with a fish fry dinner and full bellies. Loved the outdoor patio! It was a little loud when the band started but a nice, fun place to hang out in the summer. The bartenders were all very friendly and we never had to wait for a drink. We didn't try the food but everything we saw looked really good. Would definitely visit again! read more

Great service. We ordered cheese curds and deep fried mushrooms for an app. They were great. I had a chicken bacon wrapand it was delicious! Husband had had ham and cheeseand loved it. Kids split a cheese pizza and it was good. Overall really great. Pricing is inline. Would recommend. read more

Best bar on Castle Rock Lake! A must stop when in town. Very good bar food, great Friday Night Fish Fry and Saturday Night Prime Rib for two. Great, fun atmosphere, good bands every Saturday night all summer long and DJs on Fridays all year round I think. Staff is all very nice, I recommend stopping here when in the area. read more

Our dinner was like the Titanic, and we hit an iceberg! Honestly, the food isn't horrible. The service on the other hand, was. From when we first started ordering, we told the waitress it would be separate checks (we had 4 couples and a couple children). She responded with an eye roll, and said she would take care of it later. At one point while the table was ordering, my wife said "watch the waitress". There was a grimace and an eye roll with each order placed. Drinks were ordered, some of them never showed up, except on the bill. Food came and it was on par for a bar. The main complaint would be french fries that must have been fried in the same oil they do their fish in. The entertainment for the night came in the form of a fight between a man and his extremely drunk wife. When the bill came was the real fun. We had to tell the waitress what we ordered so she could split the bill. Several of the drinks we ordered that never made it to the table, still made it to the bill. We told her that we never received them, and she simply put them on someone else's bill at the table. The same person that got stuck with the phantom beverages, also got stuck with a 20% gratuity for the entire table. The whole place seemed extremely disorganized. How it hasn't capsized is beyond me. read more

Most of the food was ok, but when you wait for close to an hour and a half on a Wednesday, then get food that is frozen in the center, it is not worth it. Please don't complain to the owners, they get super rude and tell you that if you don't like it, don't come back! They don't have to worry about me returning. read more

Hard for me to judge the food as we rolled in at 10 mins to 10:00 after our last baseball game at Woodside baseball park. Had about 15 people between adults and kids. Pulled up and the place was rockin'. They were so nice and bent over backwards to get us fed. They had shut down the fryers but got us pizzas and garlic bread. The service was slow, but I think that's understandable as they were at the party part of the night. They had a DJ on the deck so after dinner the kids went out and danced with all of the other patrons. I would suggest bringing kids earlier and then coming back later or another time, just adults. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu and hang out on the deck and possibly play some Vball. Also noticed they had boat slips, so if you're a boater, even better. read more

Had the chicken and rib buffet on a Sunday afternoon. It was fantastic. Three types of chicken. Smoked, Bbq and deep fried. All awesome! Smoked was the best I thought. Ribs also great. Great place to go! Atmosophere is very cozy and nice if you want to go out for a few drinks. Seems like a lot of regulars but everyone is very friendly. Small dining room but SO worth it! The best bluegill i've ever had!!!! everything is great on the menu but that is the best of the best and we leave work early just to drive 3 hrs and get there before the rush! We stay up there all weekend and that is the only restaurant/bar we go to. Must check it out!!! read more

Called ahead. No reservations. Stated should be able to be seated in 15 minutes. If you wanted water plastic cups and water were self serve out on the bar/patio. There were five of us, three adults, two teens in our party. Arrived 6:25, seated 6:50. Candice was our server. Drinks took about 30 minutes. We were seated in the main small dinning room. Very hot and smelled greasey like a county fair. View was beautiful in the window behind me. Candice took our food order after being seated 35 minutes, said it would be 30 minutes. Came out one hour later. No feed back stating kitchen was running behind. I never received my salad nor applesauce. She never came around asking if we wanted another beverage. Food was just ok nothing great. Candice was quick to see my signal wanting the bill. I asked if it could be creditied for the slow service and missing items. She said no. I asked to speak with the owner. Jack sported quite the attitude. I stated we had never been to his restaurant before. He stated everything was made fresh to order and there was nothing he would do. "As you can see we're packed and busy in here. We could just slap some food on your plate like others." Clearly left our group very dissatisfied and not wanting to recommend this place to anyone. A few free drinks or dessert or discounted bill would have been very much appreciated and review would have been very different. We were at a cafe' this past weekend that had a laminated sign on the table " we take pride in serving you, our customer, a fresh, handcrafted meal..every time! On the weekends & holidays during our high volume hours...wait times for food may exceed 35 MINUTES. We appreciate your patronage and YOUR PATIENCE!! (We are preparing your food as fast as we can).
