Happy hour is a great, inexpensive way to get some good shushi. I have been here many times before and most of the time the service is lacking, to say the least, however we keep coming back for the food. As many times as I come here ( I don't always remember to check in) but today was horrible service. I had wait for ever for refills, my son had his food first, he was almost done eating when my husband and I finally received our sushi rolls. On the same plate!!!! We told the waitress it was separate orders (which she knew) and she asked if we wanted her to separate it on a separate plate? And she was looking at us, as we were asking for something uncommon. We said never mind and use one of my son's plate since he was done eating. I'm very disappointed with this place's service. It's not that big to have us waiting that long for food and refills. Shiso Sushi probably pays their electric bill with just my money as often as I go there. I LOVE this place. I didn't even like sushi before some friends of ours turned us on to this place. Now I go 1-3 times a week lol. The Monster Roll is fantastic if you don't know what to order. It's a shrimp tempura roll with avocado and cream cheese, topped with tempura crab, eel sauce and clear sauce. It's sooooo good! The crab rangoon is also extremely delicious and has spoiled me as all others seem to pale in comparison. Like others here mentioned, the lunch special is a great deal as it comes with salad, soup, and a great discount on whatever rolls you order. I am not a big sushi guy but this place was phenomenal!! I was dragged along by my girlfriend and I give it to her she was absolutely right when she said "you can't beat the happy hour here" Happy hour is between 3pm-7pm if I'm not mistaken and the prices were just RIGHT. The sushi was fresh and extremely flavorful! The gyoza and fried rice were both also mouth watering. As for the staff they were very nice and responded to our order quickly. Been here twice now. I really like their happy hour specials, a great way to get a variety of sushi on a ridiculously cheap meal deal! My problem is the hibachi. Again, great prices but there seems to be inconsistencies in the temperature they serve the food. The main course comes with your choice of meat and fried rice. The fried rice is served piping hot and the meat is room temperature. That makes me concerned if they made it fresh or not. One of the people who I went with had to send his filet mignon back twice because it kept coming out cold. Once they fix that, I'll be coming back all the time! read more

I came upon this place because I am obsessed with the Teriyaki chicken rolls down the road from my job. My mom is hooked and wants a double order almost every other day! They are good but only because I add the extra stuff that makes that way otherwise they would be OK. EVERYTIME I call in the order I get a different total though. It's like they have no idea what to charge for the extra items. Some days it's 50 cents others it's a dollar and aside from one waitress there no one else seems to care. I will be finding a new place to buy this roll... I refuse to give them another dollar when they could care less about your business. read more

I'm not a sushi person but I decided to go because they had happy hour where the regular rolls were $2 and specialty rolls were $2.50. So I figured for $2 a pop I might as well go try it since I wouldn't be losing much if I didn't like it. And I wasn't expecting much since I figured the price was cheap so the food might not be all that good but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered about 6 different rolls and an arnold Palmer and between two people it came out to about $19 plus tip. So believe me when I say it was an enjoyable experience and I will definitely be back to try a couple other rolls. Also I think they extended the happy hour from 5-7 to 3-7 because I was there a little after 3 and they already had the happy hour menus out. So if your new to the sushi scene and want to try it out it is definitely a place to go. read more

They have lunch special until 3pm that comes w soup AND salad. and then from 3 to 7pm they have happy hour $2 and $2.50 sushi! Price are way too cheap for the good quality of the food. Loooovvvve the monster and volcano roll! Also, I was really amazed because they only have one server in the morning and that server could handle everything by herself including the phone. She was quick and fast. Drink was always refilled. So yeah service was great, and food is great too! read more

I have been eating sushi since the year 2007. I have eaten sushi all over the country. By far, Shiso Sushi in Orlando, Florida is the best sushi restaurant. I wish I could say the same about their customer service. In light of this, I must mention that lately, I have gone to have sushi at Shiso about 5 times. As a frequent and loyal customer, I have felt offended on two occasions by the waitresses at Shiso. This month, there was a party of about 25 guests and a waitress approached me saying that the restaurant was packed and that I should eat at another restaurant because they were busy taking care of that large party. Horrible, I thought of writing a letter to the manager: Mr. Li Rong Lin, but I decided not to do so. Yesterday, November 24, 2014, I had dinner at this restaurant, and the waitress took 12 minutes to hand me the menu. I go to this restaurant at least twice per week. The customer service and treatment that have been offered to me as a loyal customer lately, has been terrifying. The only reason I still go to this restaurant, is because, as I said before, their sushi is the best I have ever tasted after eating sushi all over the country. Ps. I recommend this restaurant however, be careful with the customer service skills of their waitresses; The sushi chefs are very friendly though. read more

Terrible! Employees need to wash hands after using the bathroom! I have food poisoning after dining here. The service was strange, she barley acknowledged us as guests,took our order in 3 separate visits to our table and served our meals separately. If you cant coordinate sushi and fried rice orders get out of the business! The sushi was flavorless. I think it was premade ,bland .yuk I ordered tempura shrimp roll and crunchy crab. Great sushi if you eat in. Thrown together and overcrowded in the box if you order out. Every time I order I get at 3-5 rolls to take out. They ALWAYs shove them all into one box. When you go to eat it, they fall apart because they were poorly made and then crammed together causing them to fall apart. The quality of ingredients is great, the balance of flavors is good. The take out soy sauce they give you is HORRIBLE so stop somewhere and pick up some. You'll thank me later. All around I have a love hate relationship with Shiso.
