I had a barrel ages old fashioned. The bread was fresh and tasty. The menu has quite a variety...steak, chicken, seafood...something for everyone. We were going for steak. A filet was ordered and two of us ordered the 14 oz ribeye. From what I saw on other tables steak seems to be a favorite. The waitress came back and took salad orders, how we wanted the meat cooked plus another drink if needed. I ordered medium well. After a bit i order another old fashioned. The first one went smooth and good. Not too much ice, just the right amount of liquor. Chilled and good. The wedge salad comes out and it's covering the plate. Thousand island dressing plus real bacon bits. A nice touch. Just enough dressing. After a bit the ribeye arrives. It too covers a portion of then plate. it's a bit peppered but cooked right. The waitress asked us to cut into the meat to verify it was cooked right, they all were cooked as ordered. Truly a treat. The steak is gone, a little bread is left on the table, half the old fashioned is remaining. Definitely will return in the future if I'm in Shreveport. Between the service and quality of the food it's a must visit if you're in town.

Not a home run but they were decently made. I ordered the beef song appetizer. It was tasty but the Asian flavors felt out of place. For my entree I had the snapper Hollis. The snapper was well seasoned and flavorful however a touch overcooked which made it dry. The crawfish and spinach risotto was creamy and delicious. I ordered the bread pudding for dessert. This was by far the most unpleasant part of the meal. The bread pudding was dense and lacked flavor. Overall, a pretty good experience. Although for the quality of food, I would say quite overpriced.

Exceptional Service from Madison!…read more My experience at Superior Steakhouse (Pierremont) was absolutely top-tier, and our waitress Madison made it even better. From the moment we were seated, she was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Madison demonstrated strong product knowledge--she explained the menu clearly, made excellent recommendations, and ensured our meals were cooked exactly as ordered. She maintained consistent table presence without being intrusive, which shows true hospitality skill. Our drinks stayed filled, timing between courses was perfect, and she handled everything with confidence and grace. What stood out most was her positive attitude and attention to detail. She anticipated our needs before we had to ask and made us feel valued as guests. That level of service elevates the entire dining experience. If you visit Shreveport Superior Steakhouse, I highly recommend requesting Madison. She represents the standard of excellence you expect from a premier steakhouse!! I was in Shreveport for work. Collectively we decided on a steak. We went on a Monday (about a week…read moreago) and were informed they don't serve food on Monday or Tuesday. The bar was open so we had a couple. Trivia was getting fired up and everyone was hungry so we left. Back on the following Wednesday we sat in the Continental Room, just off the bar to the left when you go into the establishment. I was thinking...it would be packed. The three of us were the only folks eating at around 6:30 pm. The waiter comes out, asks what we want to drink. Beer for two of us and wine for my boss. I scan the menu and there are a lot of choices in when it comes to steak. Two of ordered the ribeye and my boss ordered the filet. The dining room is small with several tables for a family, some dudes eating after work or a cool place for a date. Maybe a little dated but the service was very good. The waiter was on top of the drinks and the food. Salads came out almost immediately. I had the wedge salad with Italian dressing. Very fresh lettuce and not too much dressing. Everyone else was happy with their salads. I ordered another Yuengling (in a bottle-nothing on tap) and the steaks were out shortly thereafter. The meat covered a lot of the plate. I ordered medium well and it came a little under done but was still very good. Bang for the buck you can't do better. The au gratin potatoes were ok. I have never had potatoes like that before. I would try them again. The Cub itself has been there since 1939. Definitely a dive bar feel. Brick building, solid and well built. Definitely will try for a repeat if/when I'm back in Shreveport. If you're in town give them a try. Service in the Continental room is very good, food is of good quality and not too expensive.

The great news is that Ben still works here and you would do quite well to request him as your server. It was his recommendation to get crusted blue cheese over my ribeye and I've enjoyed it that way ever since. Since we decided to drop in last minute we had James as our server and he did a fine job for us. $50 for a ribeye. $11 for a wedge salad (yet even more blue cheese....LOL) and a side of mashed potatoes ($12), and Brussels sprouts ($12) were more than enough to share. It was late in the evening and we were one of the last tables seated. A few of us in the party had comped dinners. My wife and I charged it to the room. Was about $93 and we left a $20 tip. The ribeye was just slightly overcooked, and the wait time was a little longer than usual, hence the missing fifth star. But you'll want to make reservations here before you arrive to ensure a seat as it's worth a visit and a very classy place.

The menu has changed in the last year (apologies for lack of photos), so I recommend checking the website's menu for the most current offerings. The potato beignets were a hit appetizer- although truly the oddest beignets I've ever seen- I would order again without hesitation. The kabocha squash hummus and Brussels sprouts were also immediate hits. My duck confit was exceptional and the banana creme pie was enough for 4 people to enjoy a few bites. The menu strikes a nice balance of varied southern/french tastes but focused for quality and thoughtfully curated. Although I noted that we were celebrating a graduation when making the reservation, it was never acknowledged. That said, the service was warm and attentive overall, with the only drawback being infrequent water refills. The volume in the dining room fluctuated and became a bit louder toward the end of our meal. Overall, this restaurant manages to feel both intimate and refined. A charming, upscale spot that's well suited for a special occasion.

The purple sweet potato bread was easily the highlight of the meal. Give me two more orders and call it a night. I had the salmon with wilted spinach, heirloom peas, leeks, and gribiche. The salmon was cooked perfectly with crispy skin, while the peas brought an earthy, slightly nutty flavor with a creamy texture that paired beautifully with the leeks and tomatoes.
