Freddy's $11.99 they grill the flour tortilla

Short Stuff Cafe is delicious and convenient, especially when you need to get Chevron gas at the same time. Lots of variety with a meat heavy menu for protein lovers. Made to order are grilled breakfast burritos, sandwiches, burgers, and wraps. They have a few grab & go selections on their counter display. I got myself a Freddy's breakfast burrito ($12) containing eggs, mushrooms, sausage, bacon, green onions and pepper jack cheese. It was hearty and filling. Short Stuff has their own counter but you pay the gas station attendant. If the POS system is down and you don't have cash, they have one of those private ATMs for a fee. Probably better to just bring cash. Closed Monday, they have limited opening hours depending on the day, so make sure to double check before heading out. You can call ahead to pre-order too.

Fill up your tank and your tummy... one stop shop This counter-service cafe is located inside the Chevron gas station convenience store on Eureka Rd in Roseville. It is located across the street from Fat's Asia Bistro. On one section inside the store is a kitchen and they make some of the best sandwiches my palette has ever tasted, nothing fancy, just good 'ole taste-of-home kind of sammies. My cheeseburger didn't have the prettiest presentation but the thick, juicy burger was delightfully satisfying. Twice I've ordered the BLT on sourdough toast. They put lots of bacon on the sandwich. It's so good. I have yet to try their breakfast items. I've had this place bookmarked for the longest time. Business hours are limited (see photo) which makes it difficult for me to make it here and sometimes I just miss the window on when they're open. Also, it's better to call in your order so you're not waiting. Just pick up and pay at the register (not at the kitchen). Tips are appreciated. If you're a baller on a budget you would enjoy the affordable prices on their food items, very reasonable... in fact, dirt cheap! Review #2770

    Breakfast croissant

So confused when I pulled up because there was only a Chevron gas station. As I went inside I didn't see any signage that the worker in the cove was Short Stuff Cafe. I grabbed a paper menu and sure enough, I had found it! The menu had many more items than expected given there weren't any chairs or tables for guests. I ordered a breakfast croissant and my son ordered a Meat Lover's Breakfast Burrito. They had a ridiculous amount of salsas to choose from, enjoy playing with them! Breakfast Croissant w/ sausage and cheddar cheese: 8 - Sausage was decently flavored but the croissant was very good. I got lots of cheese and egg but this really needed mustard and Mayo or some other condiment. It wasn't greasy which is a death low to a sausage croissant...decent option I'd say. Meat Lover's Breakfast Burrito: 6 - Breakfast burrito was on the greasy side but had lots of ingredients. Bacon was great, lots of eggs and cheese...probably too much...needs potatoes and more meat to be a better option.

Great breakfast burritos but when looking on here, keep in mind they are closed on Mondays, even though it says they are opened on here.

Good spot for a breakfast burrito. I had Dave's Wrap with green chiles and it was BOMB, albeit a bit on the dry side.

Absolutely the best! It's a little hole in the wall in a chevron but the best burritos and sandwiches you can get. They never disappoint.

My initial visit I ordered from their "vintage" menu. I got Erik's B.L.A.S.T. with bacon, Arcadian lettuce, avocado, clover sprouts, Secret Goo and tomato on toasted sourdough. They accidentally forgot the clover sprouts on my order. I love sprouts, so I was a bit disappointed when I realized they were missing. However the sandwich was great so it didn't ruin the meal. I loved their special tuna sandwich, called the Ocean Avenue, which was a delicious concoction. Made with tuna salad, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, clover sprouts, and sweet hot mustard on swirl rye bread. The ingredients were all fresh & tasty. Another winner I just consumed was the Ciao Down, made with the softest Dutch Crunch I've ever eaten. I appreciated having the roof of my mouth intact! The combination of ingredients (salami, turkey, Swiss, tomato, onions, clover sprouts, basil pesto) gave me salty, vinegary, sour, and savory, with just a mild spicy kick from the hot cherry peppers. Whatever you do, don't skip the carrot cake! It is the best carrot cake I've ever had. I actually wondered if they outsourced it, but it turns out it's a proprietary family recipe. Made with carrots, pineapples, cream cheese frosting, and walnuts. It tastes homemade and perfectly balanced.

I usually grab my food to go, but whenever I do step inside, the atmosphere feels just like a good neighborhood sandwich shop should. Nothing overly fancy, just a casual setting and the delicious smell of fresh ingredients greeting you as soon as you walk through the door. The service has always been friendly and welcoming, and I honestly haven't had any complaints. They're helpful, quick, and make the whole experience easy, whether you're grabbing something to go or staying for a bite. Now, let's talk about the cheesesteak! It's flavorful, satisfying, and even better with their Dirty Sauce. I highly recommend adding bacon and getting it on a Dutch crunch roll. That combination gives you the perfect mix of savory, crispy, cheesy, and crunchy in every bite. The Dutch crunch really takes the sandwich up a notch! Overall, this is a solid spot when you're craving a hearty sandwich without any fuss. I'll definitely be back the next time that sandwich craving comes knocking!

Whenever I order, I try something different. The sandwiches taste pretty good, but there isn't anything crazy which is something I would want to order. So, if you like pretty standard choices with a ton of options that different an ingredient or two, then this is your spot for a sandwich. In terms of service, it's been mostly good. We've been to this location a handful of times. About half the time the staff makes a little mistake such as not putting extra lettuce or leaving out the extra sauce on the side. Otherwise, they are pretty good. The price is okay. I wish I could get a solid sandwich for $10, but that's just not realistic anymore.

It was decently backed, which I thought would delay us getting our food but within 10 minutes, our food was out. Portions were generous. I chose the Shark Bite, hot sandwich, as a regular and boy was that a hefty and saucy sando. I was pushing my stomach limit, but succeeded in devouring it. Ok, so you have to love cream cheese (which I do) because that's what makes this behemoth of a sandwich so good. It's turkey, avocado, and bacon with the usual lettuce, tomato, onion, greek peppers, and mayo and mustard. Everything I've had there over the years at BHD has always been consistently delicious and stacked. I tried the hot pastrami for the first time, as it comes, and it was yummy. It has avocado, cheese, and mayo. For a pastrami sandwich purist, it might not sound good, but it was so flavorful, and even my husband loved it, and he's one of the pastrami purist and not a fan of mayo. That says a lot. We also tried the hot roast beef with cheddar cheese that came with an au jus for dipping. So dang good! I love the beach and Hawaii theme, of course.
