There seemed to be only one waitress though and maybe the manager or owner flagged her down for us. I say maybe because the lady also seemed to be seated with another customer. Other than that slight hiccup, everything else met expectations. They offer the classic rolls at a reasonable price for 3 : $22.99. The other specialty rolls are available as a 2 or 3 item combo : we must have been hungry because we got one classic 3 roll combo : California roll, tuna and spicy yellow tail; and three MORE 3roll combos of the show sushi ( topped with chopped tuna, thinly sliced onion on top of California roll, a squeeze of lime to punch it up.) Very delicious! Also got the Dark knight roll which is rice free but also deep fried with crunchy bits outside spicy tuna filling. Garlic edamame was delicious and so was the mixed tempura ( / pieces shrimp plus squash, broccoli, zucchini and sweet potato. I would two Of those next time if I were hungrier! We shared all the food and left quite satisfied. Bonus: we each got a scoop of green tea ice cream at the end as part of the meal. Miso soup also for each combo. Quiet inside, bar seating available. Looks like they can host large groups as well. Bathroom was clean and had a baby diaper changing table too. That's something you don't always find in restaurants these days. Although their nigiri rice-to-fish ratio is a little more rice than I like, the fish quality is fresh and presentation is always A+. As a daughter of a sushi chef and growing up in a mom n pop Japanese restaurant, I'd say Show Sushi seems a bit overrated. I was in the area to go to Isla Cuban-Latin Kitchen, but with their 1.5 hour wait, we opted for this place around the corner. Fortunately, the wait wasn't long and we were seated within 20 minutes. The host and servers were very welcoming and friendly. Since it was our first visit, they made helpful suggestions. Many of the items on the menu were priced significantly higher than other Japanese restaurants of this caliber (casual, with an emphasis on rolls). I couldn't believe an order of unagi nigiri was $9! Show Sushi is Korean-owned, but the only item that was Korean was bulgogi beef. I didn't get to try it though. The best deal would be to get the combo of 2 rolls with a miso soup for about $32 or 3 rolls with a miso soup for about $44. The Salmon Skin Salad for $15 was decent with a pretty big bowl of iceberg lettuce, mixed greens, cherry tomatoes and a good amount of crispy, salmon skin. The dressing was zesty and gingery. The Summer Roll consisted of spicy yellowtail, cucumber, salmon, and jalapeño-cilantro on top, which was refreshing and not too spicy. The Dragon Roll contained shrimp tempura, imitation crab meat, avocado, cucumber with unagi (eel) and bonito flakes on top. A nice combination of ingredients and satisfied my unagi (dessert) craving. The Baked Lobster Roll isn't real lobster, but rather crawfish, which was noted. They took a simple California roll (imitation crab meat and avocado) and topped it with a tad too much mayo and crawfish, baked it for a few minutes, allowing the mayo to broil a bit and melt the grease all the way through the roll. It wouldn't be complete without eel sauce, masago and green onion on top though! It wasn't terrible, and we were hungry, so we managed to finish it. They have a 2 for 1 deal on beers, which is great. The sake and wine had us feeling fine. Overall, we had a positive experience here, but it wasn't quite 4-5 stars. read more

I came in to eat on Saturday the 1st at around dinner time with my husband. As soon as I walked in I was met with a girl who gave me a cold stare? But I didn't think anything of it so I waited till they sat me and my husband. Then after they took our drink orders, they were practically whispering "were you ready to order" like cmon!! Not only could I barely hear them but they took forever to take our orders. We did get a chefs special which was nice though. But the food was too saucy and the sashimi was cut so thin. The restaurant was okay but one of the female workers was just so rude, speaking rudely to my husband and hosting us not so nice. The music was a bit too loud inside and I asked repeatedly if I can watch the dodgers game but they kept "forgetting" or just didn't care, not sure. There was a few trash and leftover foods on the ground.. but the restroom didn't seem bad. Oh and do not let me forget there was a piece of lint inside my wasabi and ginger tray so I was disgusted already and didn't bother asking for a new one. Safe to say I won't be coming back here! My wife and I like to try all the local Japanese spots for sushi until we find the one we can call our place. There are quite a few in our area and we've been to some that we truly like, but then they either close or change management and it's not the same. Anyway, I remembered this place, I just didn't know the name. So upon entering, they weren't yet busy, but it began to get pretty busy and I figured that was a good sign. As I looked through the menu, I noticed they had different combo options, however for what they offer, I thought that they were a bit pricey. The portion size of their classic or specialty rolls were equivalent to other places. Their combo prices for other food items such as tempura or teriyaki's were very expensive. My wife decided to order two appetizers and that was already over $20.00 the choice of 4 classic rolls was around $25.00. I went with just the basic scallop roll, Eel roll, Salmon skin roll, and the Negi Toro roll. The food was good, but nothing different from other sushi restaurants. I got full from my order but I think that's from all the rice. The service was good, not great, but very minimal contact. They offered free ice cream for dessert, which was nice.
