Originally there was going to be 9 people but I asked day of event if I could bring another person and they said yes. The drinks were so good. Th divine feminine tasted like Jamaica drink with the hibiscus. Then I had the happy birthday Mr. President. Oh. My. God. It didn't even taste like alcohol it tasted like vanilla ice cream I'm so serious. It was delicious. Then I had the siren drink. That one wasn't bad at all. We all had a great time and shared laughs and everything. I love the setting of it though. It's a bit dark so we had to use phone lights to see the menu. But it feels like stepping into a whole new world once you enter. I think it's perfect for hanging out. Date night. Anniversary dinner. All of it. Our server was nice. Very friendly. I think he could use a little more on his hospitality just because sometimes I feel like he didn't know what to say exactly. They used to have an extensive happy hour menu featuring several drinks and food items and now their "happy hour menu" consists of a cheeseburger for $22. Not sure that that really constitutes as a happy hour menu... I asked him why they changed the menu and he put up his hands as if to say he's not to blame and said he doesn't have anything to do with those decisions. He said that "management decided to make a few substitutions but they're pretty good" and didn't provide any further elaboration. I ordered the appetizer lamb lollipops which had four small pieces for $25. My friend decided to try the "happy hour" cheeseburger and he said it was good but it did appear a bit overpriced for an average burger with a pretty hefty serving of french fries. I really wasn't impressed by the quality of the food, the portion size, the price, or the service. Unfortunately, I'll be taking Rough Rider off my list of regular places i frequent and restaurants I recommend to others.

The crème brulee was nice and not overly sweet. Overall, service was professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and the food arrived in a timely manner. Incredible experience overall…read more We went Friday evening and are still talking about it days later. We went during a jazz night, sat upstairs. Band was great and also not too loud to not enjoy conversation. Their wine list is massive, so we added the wine pairing to our dinner to try a few types. Our server Pablo educated us thoroughly in so many varieties and countries we never experienced - and we left with at least two new favorites! Our own personal sommelier I'm on a mission to find these bottles. We were so lucky to have gotten him. Although we initially came for the four course menu, they shared they offered other options including an omakase option (it's chef's choice that will take you through the menu with options for each area of it) and it was the best $150 pp choice we've made!! It even changed my mind on dishes I normally wouldn't lean toward like beef tartare. Chef Jason does not play any games!!! Our server, the manager Gilles, and each person we encountered from the moment we walked in were so welcoming. And the location is beautiful!! We couldn't stop smiling. It was just so fun. The menu changes very often so I'm looking forward to our next experience. Please go support this business!!
