Later we arrived at the restaurant to pick the order. I saw the restaurant had good ambience and asked if we could eat in the restaurant. the above statement was from the server/owner as he referred to my son who has picked up the packed food. I paid for the food with tip and politely said that it would not be proper to eat from boxes in the restaurant and left. I was reminded of pictures in front of London restaurants during British Raj. I've dined in for dinner a few years ago and then most recently did takeout during COVID times. Food is generous and delicious! I remember loving the interior of the place too. I have to say that they do need to update their hours on Yelp because I don't believe they actually open until noon on Sundays. I called a handful of times to no answer, but they picked up as soon as the clock hit 12. I also wish they would enforce some more health and safe measures during this time. When I stopped by to pick up our meal, myself and the biz owner weren't even distanced by a foot. They offer a 5% discount for cash payments and we just simply handed off the cash in hand to him. He was so friendly both over the phone and in person though. A really sweet man. As for the food, my Pad Thai was so colorful and pretty! And delicious too. The one critique I have is that it was somewhat dry. I'm used to a saucier Pad Thai, but the flavor was still on point though. I ended up getting my Pad Thai with scallops (y'all probably think I'm crazy). I love scallops and when I saw that was one of the protein options I HAD TO TRY IT. It worked! I have a medical service dog and was denied service at this restaurant. I tried to explain the ADA regulations and that it is both state and federal law that any place of business has to serve a handicapped person with a service dog. It is discriminatory to deny service to a person with a service dog and businesses can be fined. Service dogs are not pets. We went to a 2nd restaurant in town and where I was asked if my dog was a service dog and we were immediate seated when I let them know she is. Business owners can't ask what disability the person has but they can ask what job the service dog has been specifically trained to do for the handicapped person. read more
