Paid $20+tip for a grilled chicken sandwich and was served no more than 2 minutes later! But wait! How do you cook chicken and make a sandwich out of it in under 2mins? You can't, unless the chicken was cooked before the order and reheated after. The result: Dry chicken. As you can see in the picture, the rest of the sandwich was bland. They couldn't even bother to serve full sized potato chips. My advice: Spend 6mins to cook fresh chicken and an extra 3 seconds spreading the pesto evenly (with more pesto!). Oh and don't serve chip crumbs. This place deserves 0 stars for the 0 effort they put forth in making their food. read more

Wow! So my daughter was attending a camp at St Marys with her friend and that friends mom and I stumbled upon this place when shopping and exploring. The vibe is comfy cozy. The food? Service is okay, not bad but not great. The food options looked good on paper so my review is solely based on the food. Full disclosure: I ordered fried chicken wings but instead gave me fried Thai wings because their "fryer was broken". Yes, you read that right - their fryer was only for Thai fried chicken wings. Thai fried chicken wings was burnt and peanut sauce was watery. It had some veggie garnishments but it was withered. 2/5 stars Tater tots aren't traditional - tasted like corn meal balls. Slightly crispy on the outside and pasty on the inside. 0/5 stars. After tasting it we didn't eat it and threw it away. Chilaquiles was rich in tomato sauce and tortillas are soggy. I prefer scrambled eggs in mine but they serve the eggs over easy. 1/5 stars. We also did not eat this. Elote was tasty, flavorful and our favorite dish. 4/5 They serve Sightglass coffee which was delicious- I prefer pour over and drink my coffee black. 5/5 Most patrons ordered pastries, so maybe I should have gone that route, but I can't say I am coming back to review that. read more

Yum yum yum!! Looking for a place to eat that had a decent vegetarian menu and Sideboard popped up on yelp! We are so happy we came here and lucky to have found a place to sit. This place gets pretty packed and now we know why, the food is delicious! The inside is smallish and they have outside seating, but it was raining. The service was Amazing, each person we spoke to was so friendly, it definitely has cozy family vibe. We ordered their fries, Brussels sprouts, quinoa bowl, Caesar salad and half bucket of fried chicken. I tried everything except the chicken (my husband loved it) and our daughter and I loved everything else. I would have to say my favorite item I had was their Delicious Brussel sprouts, they were Amazing! We were so full we didn't have room for dessert, but we definitely ordered something to take home. Came here for Father's Day unexpectedly. You have to stand in line and order and then they bring your food and drinks to your table. I started out with the Ethiopian drip coffee which was decent. I would've enjoyed it a little bit more sweet. I ordered the peanut butter cookie sandwich. I wish the cookie was a bit softer, but it had a nice peanut butter flavor. For my main course, I had the breakfast, Mac, two over easy, eggs, bacon with mac & cheese. It was delicious. Two of them were completely hollow with nothing at all inside. The eggs Benedict looked beautiful on the plate, but the hollandaise sauce was bad, tasted off. I went here on a Sunday mid morning with my best friend for brunch. It was my first time at this particular location. I have only been to the Danville one before. Street parking is slim but I was lucky to find a spot with free parking on Sundays. I was able to order at the counter and then grab a table before it got PACKED maybe 20 minutes after I arrived. The little interaction with the employees that I had, didn't give me that warm and fuzzy vibe. The food came out super quick. I ordered an oat milk latte and the bacon scramble. A good fried chicken should be summarized in only one word: Harmony. If you are already a Bake Sale Betties (BSB) fan, Sideboard will for sure broaden the horizon. The brining skill is exceptional on this piece of tender and juicy chicken breast from the first bite till the last (BSB's tend to be dry in the middle and it's usually an indication lack of time for brining penetration). Slaw is where this game starts. Napa cabbage with higher water content was used instead of the normal one. The chef was able to pull this off not letting the extra water ruin the crunchiness of the fried chicken. Seasoning is very restrained and some very tiny seeds (maybe celery seeds? Anyone who knows?) give it the right tiny amount of bitterness. Savory, deep fry, light sourness, spicy (from the aioli sauce) and a hint of bitterness intertwine with each other. Remember what I said at the beginning of a fcs? Better go on a weekday. read more

Great place, just terrible for little kids. Food is always great (but a bit overpriced). Service has always been quick and very polite (way more polite than the Danville location). The vibe has always been great here (but crazy busy and I wish there was better seating). Came with two kids for the first time today and nearly left. Nearly every 4 person table had two people, many done eating and just talking. I know that's not Sideboard's fault, but the two seaters are all so tiny that I don't blame them for wanting a bigger table. I have a wild toddler and can't go sit in the park cause she'll run into the street. We tried squeezing into a tiny two person table but it was miserable. I was about to ask for our food to go when two older women were leaving and offered their larger table. What's crazy is this was only for two more people but had almost 4x the space. Went here on 2-2-23 with my gf I'm search of some healthy fresh food with a laid back environment. Parking was a little tricky during the week but I managed to find a free spot nearby. Tables are first come first serve, and we found a small table inside as outside was a little chilly and not all tables are near a heat lamp. One has to walk up and order but the line was short. They have ample items on their menu and we both went for the fiesta bowl. Ordered the soup of day lentil soup which was very yummy. Got a raspberry lemonade but they didn't have raspberry syrup so just went with a standard lemonade and they gave me extra to split cost difference which was nice. Fiesta bowl was very good, full of protein of white beans and black beans along with rice, kale , avocado and tomatoes. The rice wasn't completely cooked so my girlfriend got us replacements but I really enjoyed it. It had a strong lemon kick and the wait staff were really kind and patient to give us new dishes like that, so kudos to them. My girlfriend also got the veggie patty In hers and I tried some which was very flavorful and good amount of plant variety in it. The lemonade could have used more of the lemon from the fiesta bowl and was fairly bland so I would avoid it. Everyone else eating seemed to really be into the food and I can see why. I enjoyed the laid back cafe atmosphere with really yummy food. Prices are a little high but again where can you find fresh yummy food on the cheap at a nice cafe/Restaurant? Always willing to pay for fresh food tasting food! Definitely will be back here to try other things as I heard the fried chicken and Mac and cheese are yummy so my kids would love that!! read more

I came here twice when in town for a wedding recently. It's such a cute little spot and you can even take a blanket across the street to have a picnic! It's a walk up and order restaurant with a good amount of seating both inside and outside. For lunch, we shared the tater tot appetizer and these are a must. They're certainly not like your standard tater tot from the store; these are big and fluffy and SO delicious! Totally worth getting for the table. And then I had the beet salad.. so colorful and no shortage of beets which is a plus! The citrus dressing was so refreshing paired with the beets and goat cheese.. hungry just writing this.
