WOW!!! That's how I'm going to start this. We started the night off with some candied bacon. They bring it tableside with a blow torch and fire the sprig of Rosemary hanging with the 5 strips of Candied Bacon. The bacon was savory and sweet and the bbq dipping sauce had a wonderful hint of heat. The Parmesan Truffle fries super tasty, well seasoned and a nice big portion. My wife and son each had the Hangover burger. Great tasting 1/2 lb burger, nice runny fried egg on a Pretzel bun. I had the Boss Hog. Burger was nice and juicy, nice thick slices of Pork Belly, YUMMY!!! Onion rings added a nice crunch and the bbq was nice and tangy. And the 420 Shake was a great cap to an awesome night. Oreo Crumble and vanilla ice cream. Huge chocolate ice cream sandwich sticking out of all that whipped cream. We loved every bit of our experience at Sid's. Food is yummy but definitely leans on the spendy side. To echo what others have said, this place is beyond loud for how small it is. That mixed with the servers yelling over the music to communicate, made the experience too over the top. Husband is a drummer in a metal band, so we are no strangers to loud heavy music and the garage rocking lifestyle. Somehow, the experience this place is trying to capture just didn't work for us. From our perspective, it was a bit gimmicky. It seems like it is a good place for people/families who otherwise don't get to feel that type of lifestyle, get the opportunity to experience that feeling-which I totally support and encourage. I think we get enough of it on a regular basis that it's not what we look for when we go out to eat. Sids Garage in Meridian did nothing wrong on our visit, it was just not a good fit for us. We found the experience to be stressful for eating, but on observation of other tables, a lot of people seemed to be having a great time. I would probably would have enjoyed it if I was just out drinking and getting rowdy with some friends, not trying to sit down and have a meal. Overall, I think everyone should give Sids a shot, you may enjoy it, or you may not, but you'll never know if you don't experience for yourself! read more

I was in town and needed a place to meet a friend. This place fit the bill the food was tasty and if I just ranked this based on food it would be 4 or 5 stars. Walking in, the employees get in your face and yell a greeting. Even pre-pandemic that would have been weird, but now it was too much. People here are complaining about the level of music but it seemed to fit the ambiance for dinner. We were there at lunch and it was still fine (though I was surprised). We were able to get a table by the window because we were the only ones wearing a mask, including the servers. Prices are steep but expected. The candied bacon cost more than a dollar a strip. The truffle fries are $$ but have truffle oil so they were amazing, and worth 5 stars alone. I took my leftovers home and ate them for breakfast with a fried egg on top. Our server didn't ask how we wanted our burgers cooked and they arrived medium. I hate seeing pink in ground meat, so I was able to eat everything except the center, which I would have liked to have eaten. Not because it was extra delicious but because I was hungry. I should have just finished the fries and ordered a milkshake instead of a burger. This place has potential but since I'm only in Boise once every two years, I won't be back. We wanted to experience something new and interesting after moving here to beautiful Idaho. First lunch stop we chose Sid's. The ambiance was fun, eclectic and we were greeted and seated with a friendly smile immediately. We sat at an outdoor bench booth that allowed us to people watch and enjoy the trees, flowers, music and sunshine. Let's talk food. I ordered the Trailer Trash Burger, mom ordered the PBJ burger and my son the Mac n cheese balls. Everyone of us was delighted and surprised by the flavors and uniqueness of the dishes we received. My son literally smiled the whole time he ate and my mom was so happy to finally have lettuce and peanut butter lol. I was happy to have hot Cheetos on my burger! Crazy combos but so delicious. Afterwords, the shakes. Just wow! No words, pure creativity. This is place you release all guilt about eating and just enjoy the moment. Our server, I think his name was Rick, was so friendly and helpful & on point. He checked in with us often and answered all of our questions with a smile. We will definitely be back. See many people there, thought we'd try..crowded, loud and "high school" servers are poorly if not at all trained. Manager/ owner treats you like you're in their way being there. RUDE, and totally unprofessional. Bathrooms were cluttered with trash and sinks were nasty. Aside this, the fries are the only thing tasty. Burgers were raw, my sons burnt. Sid's garage is a great concept that surpasses expectations at first impression and gradually falls to a disappointing experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful but not attentive at the right times. The appetizers were pretty good with the sweet potato fries undercooked and not at all crispy while the bacon was fantastic, especially with the sauce. The burger was meant to be medium rare and was very well done with pork belly that was sub-par. The milk shake we got was good but not as special as it looked and sounded. Overall, this spot is worth a visit but it was the most expensive restaurant I've been to in months and was not even worth $50, let alone the $75 it costed. read more

If you are looking for a unique dinner experience this is the place to go. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a loud welcome from the staff. The service was great and relatively quick. All of their dishes are served in such fun ways. My burger was served in a lunch pail. Their shakes are huge and over the top, in the best way. Mine came with a huge piece of chocolate cake on top. The one downside is that all of the entrees are sold separately from the sides and shakes, so it can be pretty pricey to eat here. If you are looking for a quiet intimate restaurant this isn't the best place as it is a fun, loud, lively atmosphere. read more

For drinks, I had the lemon basil cider and my husband ordered the Payette recoil IPA. The truffle fries were served in a basket which just had oil dripping like crazy out of it. My husband really liked them, but they made me feel kind of sick; too greasy for my taste. For to go food, I got the 208 burger and he got the elote hot dog. The burger was absolute 10/10! The flavor combo was out of this world. The dog my husband got was probably one of the most pathetic hot dogs I've seen. It was all shriveled, not even in a real bun (looked like a folded up piece of bread?) and literally had less than 20 corn kernels on it. I'm glad we had been there that afternoon because if we had just gotten food to go and only had that, I'd be pretty disappointed. Staff is super friendly and service is great here. You will always get help, only thing was I noticed staff had a hard time figuring where to drop off food at. The fries were ok to me, my wife liked the Cajun fries better than the parmesan truffle fries. The Nashville hot chicken isn't as hot but has good flavor, crispy and tender. The not so wimpy burger was good, I would recommend you try another burger from the menu. There's a good variety of beers there. Atmosphere is nice and like the open floor plan. One of the very best restaurants in Meridian! AWESOME customer service , delicious food, cool environment. They were busy and we were offered the bar. We took it and honestly so happy we did. We spoke with pretty much every waiter and the owner. I personally watched the owner thank all of his employees when he asked them to do anything and they even had 13 chairs set aside in honor of the heroic military that lost their lives this week. Absolutely delicious food and wonderful drinks even though they did not officially have their liquor license yet, so not all options were available. They have the best customer service I have experienced in awhile. The atmosphere/ambiance is a bit loud but great music selection and still easy to converse at the table. Sadly we didn't take any photos, the food was too good and we were starving! Went in around 6 on a Friday and we ordered, had our food and out in just over 30 minutes. First this place is so nice and cool looking on the inside! It lacks in some more booths and tables though, you could tell it was filling up quickly on a Sunday during lunch time. It's not kid friendly, that's for sure. From my knowledge it didn't look like they had any boosters or high chairs, there also was no kids menu. The waiter or waitress tells you what they offer for kids though. I believe she said cheeseburger, chicken tenders or grilled cheese. They gave us like 4 tenders which was a good amount for my 2.5 year old. We ordered the Not So Whimpie Burger and both my husband and I agreed it was not our favorite. It was either the sauce or the pickles that tasted sweet and that was a no go. Although their bun was good! They had yummy fries! The fries don't come with burgers so you will need to order separately, which we did and ordered the bucket of fries. It was filled up halfway, which I would say they have some inconsistencies with that. The reason being is someone at a different table ordered a bucket of fries and theirs was filled to the brim. One other thing is, it's SO LOUD in there (they are ok with that) that you can't even have a conversation with anyone! All in all I'm not sure we would go there anytime soon. read more

First, don't fall for the Beer in a Bag trick. When waiting in line they come up and you can buy a mystery beer in a bag. If you guess what the beer is, they will pay for the next one. I can only drink IPAs and certain dark beers so when she asked me if I prefer light or dark, I thought at least I can tell her dark and get something close to what I want. Turns out the beer they charged me $6.00 for was a Bud Light disguised as a "Boise Light". I asked the host why she even bothered to ask me if I prefer light or dark when they gave me the cheap light stuff and she just said it's all up to them what beer they want to give. I'm not a customer service expert but it's probably not a good practice to bamboozle your patrons. As for the food, the burgers were just okay. They were so overloaded with sauces and seasoning that they fell apart when trying to eat them and I wasn't sure what I was tasting exactly, not to mention the belly ache later that night.
