I came here for a car inspection after receiving a flyer from them. They recently changed their name to now auto care. I never noticed that they were here. Upon entrance, we were greeted by the staff and the manager. They gave us a tour and showed us how they have videos to explain any dysfunctions they find. The staff were very courteous and professional. I read a book in their waiting area while they did the inspection. The waiting area and the shop are both clean. The waiting area is comfortable and quiet enough for me to read a book. They have water, soda, and coffee for their clients. Restrooms are clean. They offered to do a complimentary all around check up. They also offer digital photos of the before and after service. I need to compare the price quote that was offered to make sure it's on par with other locations. read more

I went here on Saturday and needed a little assistance with an accessory I was adding to my Bronco. They greeted me with a very friendly smile and got my vehicle straight in. I stopped in here today for a vehicle inspection. Right off the bat, there was a gentleman waiting to open the door for me at the entrance. I let him know what I was there for, he took the necessary documents and my car was taken away almost immediately. The whole process was great and he even reminded me about the Sienna tax office nearby. This is probably the first year I haven't done the registration in the mail thanks to that reminder. I've been a customer since David Attaway took over this shop - I thought being a long time customer meant something. I quickly found out this week that's not the case. My wife took my car into Sienna Auto for an oil change. After a couple hours of working, David tells my wife that they cannot get the bolt out and we need to purchase a new oil pan. The cost? $2700. My wife asked how this could have happened. David informed her that this just happens sometimes and that the bolt is just spinning. After some pushing and further questioning, David said that likely the last mechanic over tightened the bolt which caused it to strip and get stuck. Now, I have only ever had any service done at Sienna Auto. My car is parked in the garage and is driven less than 3k miles a year. When it was taken to Sienna Auto for a yearly oil change (not necessarily because of miles), it was drivable and did not have an oil leak (happy to provide a picture of my garage). Now? It is unable to be driven due to an oil leak caused by a spinning bolt in the oil pan. These are David's words to my wife and myself. He refuses to take responsibility for the mistake that was made at the last oil change and refuses to make this right. He said that either I pay for the repair of $2700 or I tow it somewhere else by Wednesday or he will start charging me a storage fee. Come to find out after doing a little due diligence, albeit a little too late, this is a common occurrence with David's shop. After posting on the neighborhood sites, there were more incidents than I could even imagine within the last year - it took me an hour to go through them. All outlining shoddy work, mistake after mistake and dangerous safety issues. None of which he took responsibility for. I've never posted a review in my entire life so all I can say is buyer beware. I would never recommend this shop after finding out how they operate and David not taking responsibility for his mechanics mistakes. Fun fact - he's not a mechanic. Another fun fact - while in the lobby my wife overheard him on the phone telling someone that this is the best February he's had in years. Wonder why? This is a dishonest business that does not honor the work they do. Stay away. read more

Went in for alignment, paid.... Tires were chewed up in a month. Got new tires and another alignment and chewed thru those tires in a month. This was nothing fancy, just a suburban. Very unhappy to pay them $200 just to chew thru 4 tires and $1000 in a couple months. They have just gone downhill read more

I came in for a oil change and was told it would only take up to 1 hour. I had to wait 3 hours due to they didn't have my filter(my car has been on file for years). Instead of them informing me about the issue they made me wait. This is completely unacceptable to wait this long for a oil change. Everyone was so nonchalant about it. I've been coming here for years and absolutely love this spot for inspections and oil changes. Typical turnaround time is 45 minutes or less for both, 20-30 minutes for one. There's coffee and WiFi here in a very comfortable seating area if you wish to wait, or plenty of food around if you simply want to grab some lunch or dinner while they work, and they'll call you when you're done. My daughter had a fairly new battery but her car still wouldn't start without a jump. We took it in and left it for a diagnostic. Within an hour I received a call that they found a simple loose wire and had fixed it, then started it several times to ensure it would crank on its own. I drive a Lexus and my husband put the new battery in BACKWARDS! Fearful I got a diagnostic from Sterling McAllen and in shock at the prices I decided to drop in Sienna Automotive. They graciously took the Lexus 10 page Diagnostic and went thru line by line inserting the sienna price as a comparison to the dealership. Shocking the price difference and their knowledge of my vehicle. They even have a courtesy shuttle. Highly recommend. read more

Sienna Auto Auto repair shop My son took my Jeep in for a diagnostic on a heater core repair which we already knew might be the problem. He was told that there was a leak near the drive shaft, not the heater core and it would cost $400 to find where the leak was coming from. We agreed to paying for the labor to find the leak thinking it would come down to something as simple as a hose repair. After dismantling my car, the diagnosis was indeed the heater core. The shop performed a pressure test on my cooling system and charged an extra $302 to "find the leak". After all was said and done, the quote for repair was and additional $1,600+ to repair the heater core and $2,200+ to replace the floor pans. I contacted Mr. Attaway again this morning for confirmation on the quote and diagnostic and he told me the cost to fix the heater core would be $1,333. I told him that we priced the heater core online and he said, "yes, the part doesn't cost all that much, but, the labor is $1,200 because it's a seven hour job". I asked him how much per hour are their labor charges and he told me $151.00. So, I'm no mathematician, but,...In addition, most estimates for that job is at 5 hours, but, I digress as I'm not a mechanic either. Sorry for the long story, I want to be fair in my review. We agreed to pay the $400 because we were under the assumption that perhaps our initial thoughts on what was wrong with the vehicle were incorrect because a professional had looked at it, ran a pressure test and thought the leak may have been something else. They took apart the "entire undercarriage" as explained by Mr. Attaway. Not only did it turn out that we were right to begin with, we are getting conflicting estimates, an additional charge for cleaning floorboard carpet (floor pans), and I paid $345 for a diagnostic on something I already knew. Will just say this...do business with these people at your own risk. read more

The reason for coming back. had to drop my car off for ac service, they gave me a courtesy ride home which is very nice. they then called to tell me the car is done on monday. however since i work 10 hrs and get off at 6pm which is when they closed i would be unable to pick up the car. luckily i called and David was there to save the day. he went out of his way to meet me after hours for me to pick up the car after i got off of work. i cannot stress how grateful his act of kindness was. they make you feel like family here. read more

I recently took my Toyota (with over 225,000 miles on it) to Sienna Auto to have them check it over and get my vehicle ready for a 3,500 mile roundtrip adventure. The trip was going through some pretty isolated areas of New Mexico and Arizona (where there was often no cell phone signal), on my way to California, so it was extremely important to get it right. After looking it over, they made a few recommendations: serpentine belt and battery. The shop manager and owner were great. It would have been easy for them to sell me a bunch of repairs, but they didn't try to. My trip was a success and never any issues. Returned back home a few days ago. I highly recommend this locally owned shop, and will continue to go to them for my automotive needs. read more

I've been a loyal customer for about 4 years, only to find out that the owner/manager Dave does not take responsibility for mistakes and sloppy work caused by his employees. They lost my tire lock, when I called to question it I was told by Dave that the guy who worked on my car was on his honey moon. I was promised a call back. After 2 days of being stranded with a flat tire and and unable to take the tire off still no call back. So I purchased a new lock from the dealer. Upon buying a new tire I find out that the lug screw was also stripped and will have to be replaced. Never again. Beware read more

I can't stress enough how amazing Sienna Auto is. First of all, it smells amazing in there and there is such a nice and clean ambiance! The customer service is outstanding. It is evident that they care a lot about their customers and making them happy. I went in for a car inspection, and was out within 30 minutes, which is the fastest a car inspection has EVER taken me. I was blown away. Also, If you're a coffee person, they have a coffee station :). Had them change my oil recently and they didn't correctly reattach the skid plate which has to be removed when the oil is changed. I was driving down 59 on my way to Corpus Christi for a business meeting. I was outside of Wharton when the skid plate detached and began dragging on the pavement. I had to pull off on the side of the road, crawl under my car, in my suit, and improvise a solution to reattach the skid plate long enough to find another mechanic. The mechanic I found in Wharton said that during my most recent oil change they didn't securely reattach the skid plate which is why it detached. I called and spoke to the owner of Sienna Auto. I told him what happened, the observation of the mechanic in Wharton and how I had to cancel my meeting as a result of their mistake. He didn't accept any responsibility and made no effort to account for what happened and no effort to keep me as a customer. I won't be going back. read more

Just wanted to share an experience that we had at Sienna Auto and wanted to warn everyone so they can hopefully avoid it. We took my husbands BMW in for an oil change last year. No big deal, all seemed to go fine - we thought. Fast forward to today. I took the car in to a different place for an oil change. They came to me and said I should go back to where I got the last oil change done because whoever did it jammed the bolt in the oil pan and it won't turn. I was shown that the bolt would not turn. I thought ok, we have been going to David for years so it shouldn't be an issue and took it in. After almost 2 hours of working on it - David says we need a new oil pan at a cost of $2700. Oh and now the car isn't driveable because the bolt is spinning and oil is leaking out. So, I take a drivable car in with a jammed bolt and now like magic my car isn't drivable and has a spinning bolt - all of which David says isn't their fault? His solution is for me to come pick it up and let it leak out on my garage floor or pay for the repair when this is an issue that his shop created. He admits they created this problem. read more

Very quick service for a couple things I have had done including inspection. They can shuttle you home and pick you up if it will be a little bit if a wait. But even then, the waiting area has plenty of good books, drinks and a clean restroom. The owner was very chatty and personable. read more

So, after I installed my own lowering springs I needed an alignment. And this place, what can I say, they got it done and by done I mean done right. I see them drive my car down hwy 6 before and after the alignment to know everything is right were it should before giving back my keys. They treat it like it's their own, and the right way. Offered coffee and such was great. I came in at 7, was told the guy who does the alignment comes in at 8. I didn't mind at all, as long as they get it the right way and set me on my way. read more
