H&M has been a staple for catering in the treasures valley as long as I can remember. So when I…read moredrove by and saw they had a restaurant, I had to stop and eat. The ambience was nice. Great music playing and a very nice patio. It gave an old BBQ feel with relaxing vibes. Now the food was amazing as well. Fall off the bone! James the manager came out and greeted us, Jackie was super friendly and took our order. It's definitely a place where you can eat good food, drink cold beer, enjoy a cocktail, and hang out feeling comfortable. We will be back!

The Vibe & Service…read more Plenty of seating options here with a spacious indoor area and a nice patio. The walls feature cute artwork, the facility is fully wheelchair accessible, and the parking lot is a decent size with easy parking. Service shines thanks to James. He was prompt, very welcoming, and even offered to get my pup a bowl of water. The speakers play a unique, diverse variety of music. The Drink: I tried the raspberry margarita. It was good but definitely alcohol-forward rather than flavor-forward. If you prefer a fruitier cocktail, keep this in mind. The Food: Being from Oklahoma, I have high standards for BBQ and cornbread. Unfortunately, the cornbread was a major disappointment. It tasted raw, underdone, and lacked that classic, rich cornbread flavor I was craving. For my main, I ordered the chipotle peach barbecue sliders. You get three toasted buns piled with moist, smoky pulled pork tossed in a chipotle peach BBQ sauce and topped with fresh coleslaw. The pork itself had a great smoky depth. The baked beans missed the mark for me. I expected a Texas-style BBQ bean, but these had a thin, smoky, light tomato sauce flavor that tasted a bit too close to canned tomato sauce.

The service was AMAZING! Seriously, even if the food hadn't been great, which it was, we would come back just for the vibe and service. The place was so cute- it had amazing murals all over the walls, a decent sized menu and our server made the best recommendations and truly went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed, taken care of and that everything was great. The sauce is delicious, the brisket was wonderful, and the price point is fair. If you like BBQ, go check them out for sure. We can't wait to go back. Also, definitely do an order of the grenades, they were delicious.

The chef (Kris) was eating his lunch, when we sat next to his table. It was fun to learn of his BBQ background and experienced his hospitality, while he was on a lunch break. He gave us a kimchi sample that they made and it was excellent, BTW. Their BBQ sauces, if you want them, but the BBQ stands by itself. The sauces are flavorful with varying heat levels. So if you're in the area, stop by. They have inside and outside covered seating. This is a place to comeback to again and again. Thanks again for the best date ambiance in a long time. If I could rate this place, it would be an 12, so stop by and take your appetite, as you will leave completely satisfied when you leave with a container of leftovers.

It was about 1:45 pm on a Friday, and the place was fairly crowded. We were sat at a small booth for two, not my favorite table, but understandable that they would want to save their tables and booths for four for larger parties. It's very loud, hard to talk, so in tha sense the small booth we were in, set apart from the main seating area, was better for my wife and I to talk. Our server was Yulia, and she was delightful. Very nice, efficient, and attentive. Great service! We both had the classic burger, mine with the sharp cheddar it comes with, my wife sans cheese. 100% Wagyu beef, and cooked very nicely at medium. The bun was large and soft, very tasty and great texture. The fries were delicious; crispy and well seasoned, just great. They have a fry sauce that tasted like it had a bit of horseradish. I really liked it. Prices are very reasonable. In fact, I just had a burger at a nice restaurant in downtown Boise last week that had a smaller patty and bun, and cost $3 more. We will definitely be back to Holy Cow.

The two servers behind the counter are completely discombobulated. And, one of the employees just touched the inside of my sanitized to-go container with their bare hands after being out on the floor, touching dirty dishes, handling the dirty cash register, touching other surfaces. and everything else. The other server seems to be completely lost and staring off of the distance wiping counters while there's orders pending. My order. She really doesn't seem to be able to focus very well and know what to do. For example, there are plates of food sitting on the prep table, ready to go out and she walks over and looks at my ticket and then just stands there and wipes the counter. My to go order would literally take probably 30 seconds to put it into a container, weigh, and hand it to me, but she just won't do it. And, the other patron's food is getting cold. It seems like the guy that's on duty is the brains of the operation and he's doing all the work. I get out to my truck and the burnt ends feel really light in contrast to my brisket order. I ordered a half a pound of burnt ends, and 1/3 of a pound of brisket. Something isn't right. I take the burnt ends back in and show the guy that was at the register when I came in, he agreed something went wrong. It looked like a third of a pound, but I would argue that it wasn't even a third. By the way, this was prepared by the girl working that was daydreaming. He then made it right and handed back my tray, which I was grateful. He was apologetic and he took care of it well. Just to be clear, he did not give me more than half a pound but he made it right. And then went to go pick up a plastic fork, that's usually over in a cup on the counter, but there were none. So I had to get their attention quickly and ask for a fork and they pulled one up from behind the counter, after I was told they were over by the beverage machine. They both seem surprised that there were none up there ready to go. The food as usual was delicious. This is the sad part. The service is all over the map and completely in need of some serious management and restructure. I realize that it's very difficult to get good help these days, but this is a training issue. I can't go back in now knowing that the last 3 to 5 times I've gone in there. I've always had a problem with service. If the food was piping hot when it arrived, I might not be so bothered, but this lack of efficiency causes the food to be delivered cold. That's not my definition of a good experience. If you have a lot of time on your hands, and you don't mind waiting, and you don't mind your food warm instead of hot, then I would say venture out and try this place because the flavor and textures are good. Just set your expectations accordingly. The atmosphere is comfortable and rustic. A little loud because of the openness, no booths, just tables and chairs with 1/2 booth. Lots of self service going on here so be careful before you tip at the register. By the way, I chose not to tip at the time of payment when I walked in because I don't like tipping in advance of receiving the service. The purpose of the gratuity is to compensate your server based on the service they delivered, not will deliver or should deliver. Or in this case didn't deliver. I realize that not tipping on the front end gives the employees a chance to retaliate with poor service because you didn't tip. Oh how the times have changed.
