Great selection of packaged goods, sausages and deli meats. Reuben was light on meat, abundant sauerkraut,

Fresh Weisswurst - nothing is better.

The Reuben sandwich with the hot German potato salad is as close to a perfect lunch I can imagine. One of the best Reubens in the south of Idaho. The Romanian owners are loud and entertaining, if not a bit gruff. It adds to the charm of their efforts to make this a very unique market and diner. Thin-skinned snowflakes need to stay in their safe places and not come here. I never leave without their Weisswurst for home. The meat samples are always out for customers to try the sausages before selecting which to buy. Can't decide? Get the sampler pack. I tried the house special lamb sausage. Great stuff. If you don't see what you want, just ask. They always have something "in the back". If you want more or less than what sausage is pre-packaged, just ask as they try to please. Remember you cannot spell sausage without USA in the middle.

    Inviting atmosphere!

Wonderful old school German deli. Great food and lots of European delights you just can't usually find in the states. My wife is German and we come here regularly to stock up on the spices and flavorings that remind her of home. Family run, awesome people, reminds me of past travel. I highly recommend this place

Reuben sandwich. I just learned that the true GERMAN REUBEN sandwich does not have any Thousand Island salad dressing

Top notch quality and tasty food! I had to limit myself to how much I could purchase and take home to Seattle. HaHa

The deli is great for a quick lunch sandwich or whatever you like, but I'm just thrilled with the sausage and beef jerky. I typically get the Romanian dry sausage and this is part of my healthy breakfast... it's made right here will local resources and without any preservatives. Same with the jerky... and it has soooo much flavor! The people are great here as well!

We were so happy we chose to stop here for lunch while passing through Nampa. The owners, husband and wife, are passionate about their food and were so friendly. The moment we entered the store, he greeted us and offered a variety of sausage and jerky samples. He said he hand makes the sausages, so they're the real deal and don't contain any fillers. We decided to order a Reuben sandwich and sausage plate with German potato salad. We browsed the wide variety of German fresh baked bread, sausages, and German grocery items while we waited about 10 minutes. They have a few tables inside to eat, but we decided to take it to a nearby park. The Reuben was nicely toasted and contained a good portion of corned beef. I normally don't like sauerkraut, but it was pretty mild so I could eat it all! My boyfriend enjoyed his sausage plate. Our favorite was the bratwurst. Also, the potato salad was soo good. Satisfyingly warm and savory... I hadn't had anything like it. If you're in Nampa, you have to stop by Old Country Sausage!

I got the mild sausages plate. 2 sausages with bread as an option. Homemade German potato salad and sauerkraut!

My husband and I stumbled upon this great German Deli yesterday. It was delicious food the service was so good and helpful. Most everything was homemade. We sat and had lunch and brought stuff home to make Reuben Sandwiches at a later date. Homemade rye bread, sausages, and sauerkraut! We can't wait to go back!

Making our lunch right in front of us!

this place is amazing! They are authentic and delicious. The sausage is unlike any. I have tried in Idaho. I would highly recommend taking the time to check out this gem!

Mrs. who made my Reuben today was the most charming and sweet lady. Don't let her charm fool you, she makes the meanest most best sandwich and potato salad i ever did have. I'm so thankful i stopped at the post office and noticed this little green building screaming at me. I'll be back! We will be back! I wanted to buy the whole store.

Fatty Beef Jerky. You can see the off color orange that is smoked fat! Poor choice not to cut the fat off before selling it.

Great sausages, it is a tad expensive but for quality food you should be spending a little.

The atmosphere is very casual, metal tables and chairs, bright and cheerful. Even though it appears like a fast food restaurant, there is table service, and that's nice. Payten was our server, and she did a great job of taking care of us. Don't know what it would be like during the busy times. My wife ordered a Chicken Shawarma sandwich, and I got the Chicken Shawarma bowl. My wife liked the sandwich, and I enjoyed the bowl. Nicely seasoned chicken with a base of salad and Safron rice. Very filling, too. Also, their fries are very good. They are seasoned well and crispy, just the way I like them. We will definitely be back. Good, healthy food at a reasonable price, in a nice atmosphere. My only negative is that the AC was on cold enough for both of us to wish we had brought coats.

My wife is a fan of plain bagels and absolutely loved hers. It was soft in the middle. Go on the outside and cooked up crunchy just about perfect. I had the poppyseed bagel which tasted very good, but the poppy seeds had a funny taste to them. It was just an off taste and they were much smaller than most poppyseeds I've seen. Hard to describe the flavor. The jalapeño bagel was great. It could've used more cheddar and jalapeño like Albertsons down the street, but the bagel was excellent. Just little chopped up pieces of jalapeño resident slices. I toasted it with just butter and was very happy with it. Sarah's bagels are a bit less money than Panera Bread and a little more than a grocery stores but if you want to splurge on a bagel, I recommend them Not a fancy place, but there are some tables and it looks like groups get together and have bagels and coffee there in the morning I was in and out quickly and got my bagels to go. There were also bags of day old bagels, five dollars for six. Roughly half price. If you're not gonna use them for a day or two might as well get the older ones.

Let me start with the pros. The service was incredibly friendly. The food was delivered to our table still hot, which is a huge plus for me. The bacon on the loaded fries was absolutely delicious. The flavor of my prime rib dip sandwich itself was pretty good. Now for the cons. We ordered the loaded fries appetizer for $8 and were both surprised by how small the portion was. I knew the moment I saw the cup of au jus for my prime rib dip that it wasn't going to have much flavor, and I was right. It was more like basic beef broth straight from a can. Au jus is what makes a French dip so good but this just didn't cut it. My husband ordered a patty melt and after just a few bites, he had a strange look on his face. I asked him what was wrong and he said the taste and texture of the meat was unusual to him. I looked at it and took it bite myself and agreed. The only way to describe it is like the patty was made up of ground Slim Jim beef sticks or something like it. My husband didn't particularly care for it and he also felt like everything was over seasoned. When he questioned our server about what kind of meat was used in his sandwich, she couldn't explain what the difference was between his sandwich and what they use in their burgers, just that it was a different patty of some sort. Another con is that all of their salad dressings at their salad bar or in squeeze bottles. My dressing of choice is blue cheese, which doesn't squeeze well from a bottle when the chunks of cheese gets stuck in the nozzle. Not a big deal, but frustrating when you're trying to squeeze it onto your salad praying that it doesn't suddenly explode all over the place. Two sandwiches, one with a side salad substitution for fries, and a small plate of loaded fries and waters to drink was a $50 dinner. As I said at the beginning It wasn't a bad experience, it just wasn't great. For a $50 dinner it was just okay. But I would definitely give it five stars for the friendly service and the fact that the food was served hot.
