I have been to quite a few silver diners in my time. Each one has incredible aesthetics and good food. This one in particular is similar to the rest in that sense. But with the Arlington flair that I have come to be used too. The restaurant itself is located in a nice part of town. The outdoor seating is exceptional. I love being able to sit outside in the quaint area and see all the dogs walk past. I tried Shakshuka for the first time and it was absolutely incredible. Made it for myself a few days later when I got home. Would come again.

Hot maple flavored syrup and receipt.

We got blueberry pancakes and cod summer special. Great service, hot food, clear menu and they allowed substitution of veggies. The cod dish was very well executed and conceived. I had them exchange roasted veggies for asparagus. The pancakes were fluffy but not too sweet and even the syrup (served hot) was not very sweet, but the person who ordered it has a serious sweet tooth. Large cups of coffee with refills. The atmosphere is a well kept clean diner with top 20 classic soft rock/jazz and slight art deco vibe. Prices are not diner cheap though.

Silver Diner never disappoints. A solid brunch, lunch, breakfast, dinner, or late night snack location for whatever you might be craving. My most recent venture out was for a brunch with the family, and while they can be picky at times there was no risk of that here. I got a staple order of Corned Beef Hash with sunny side up Eggs and really enjoyed mixing it all together to capture the saltiness of each combined piece. The location is big, with booths for any sized party it seems. Service was good, just note if you go during a popular time your order might get to you a little slower.

Solid go-to brunch spot! My out of town friends absolutely love this place and always ask to come here when they're in Arlington. We've had mixed service and the latest time I went our waitress was pretty rude but the food is always great still. I got the avocado toast and it was great!

Diner-like ambience, but everything looked new. Some of the tables weren't cleaned very well after being bused. Excellent service. Dorothy was courteous and attentive. The chicken fried steak and side of bacon were okay. Good coffee.

Overall I've enjoyed this place! I do wish the food was a little more traditional diner and a little less new age but overall it's delicious. Good service, good quality food at a good price. Location is fantastic, because you can get shopping done at Target next door before or after.

Was in the area and needed to have breakfast so stopped by one of staple spots. I think I been to this location one time before and as always the service was great. I see they had a new menu item which was the Açaí bowl so gave it a try and it was pretty good. Overall a great experience with no complaints. Always a good relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a food breakfast.

Stopped in for a casual brunch at the Silver Diner in Arlington. The vibe is classic diner with a modern twist -- clean, family-friendly, thought not busy at all during weekday hours. We started with the cheese fries, which came out somewhat cool and not well portioned, and a bit on the salty side. For mains, we had the Lumberjack pancakes and the California omelette. The pancakes were fluffy and filling, though nothing particularly standout. The omelette was fresh and well-prepared, with the avocado and salsa giving it a nice flavor boost. We also ordered a side of vegetables, which was a nice lighter option to balance out the meal. Service was polite and efficient, though there were a few moments where we had to flag someone down for reminders. Overall, it was a solid, no-frills meal. Good for a casual breakfast or brunch if you're in the area, but not necessarily a destination spot.

I came by here for a quick brunch on the weekend. It was packed with people sitting indoors and outdoors so I figured this would be a great place to enjoy a meal. I was able to go in and find a table in the back. The waiter came by quickly and offered their house specials and other options. I decided to start off with their cold brew which came locally from the Compass Coffee nearby. The coffee was good but I wish they offered free refills because it went by very quickly. I ordered the California omelet which seemed to be one of the more healthier options. It came with whole wheat bread and a side of fruit. Everything was good and filling. I enjoyed the bread and the fruit more than the omelette somewhat. Then I was able to pay the bill at the table and head on my way home. This place seems okay but I think I would try out the True Food or Ted's Bulletin for breakfast next time.

Absolutely delicious food! We were both so impressed with how fresh everything was. The second I cut into my pancakes, steam was coming out. Really appreciated that even though it was busy, our food came out right away. You get a LOT of food for the price. This is awesome. Also check out all the deals they offer! Weekday breakfast for example is dirt cheap. Our waiter was nice and friendly. Had great energy. Huge restaurant with plenty of seating. Kept very clean.

Shocked by the lower reviews because I enjoyed this place! The waiter couldn't have been nicer and he even made a delicious latte with a heart on top. My French toast was yummy and wasn't drenched in salted caramel which was nice. They also do egg whites which always adds a point in my book. I liked the diner aesthetic and felt like I traveled back in time but not in a bad way. I'll be back!

An upscaled diner serving classic American food with a modern twist. Heathy and vegan options available. Restaurant is decorated with booth seating giving it a diner vibe. Food is average tasting and nothing to boast about. Service needed improvement; had to ask a couple of times just to get a coffee refill.

We came here for happy hour and it was a wonderful time! Ahmad was our server. He was so sweet and helpful. The food was amazing, and so were the drinks. The happy hour goes on until 9pm, at least for the drinks. An amazing deal, will be back with my friends! I love the environment, it's so welcoming

Bright and open with an integrated coffee bar, the noise level is better than most. Table settings are beautiful with fresh flowers. The food, though, is outstanding. We were there for brunch on a Saturday. We shared the skillet cornbread and deviled eggs and agreed they were excellent, but the deviled eggs were top-notch. For entrees we had a brisket bennie, brisket hash, and fried chicken and biscuits. Everyone said their dish was the best dish. I had the fried chicken - just the right honey and heat, and the biscuits were fluffy, buttery heaven. We were stuffed but Jorge and Matt (one of the owners) dropped off a complimentary order of apple donuts with raspberry jam. I shouldn't be surprised but the chunks of real apple in the donuts - wow. I don't know how they serve food this good in a location this beautiful and such reasonable prices. I guarantee, though, we'll be back for dinner and be regular customers in the future.

When we made the reservation in advance, we called to ask if happy hour was everywhere or just at the bar; they said everywhere, so we booked a table. Plot twist, it's only at the bar / downstairs :))) We arrived 15 minutes early, so while they got our table ready, we ordered at the bar. 5 stars for the bartender. If I could review her, the host, and the happy hour prices in isolation, I would! They moved us upstairs, we sat down, and immediately saw the menus were different. We asked the gentleman bringing waters about happy hour and he sent the waiter over. The waiter, with about 2% helpfulness, shared that happy hour is only downstairs. I mentioned that we had called in advance to ask. We asked if it would be possible to have that menu or perhaps move. The conversation felt like pulling teeth. He said, with much dismissiveness, it was up to the host downstairs to move and if they had availability and left. (Fair, we move, he doesn't get his tip. An alternative? Give us the happy hour menu, still get your tip. Better yet, just be slightly helpful?) The host downstairs found us a table but shared it was booked at 6:15 so we needed to be in and out. It was no problem because we had arrived before 5 (early, remember?). Although, it took 15 minutes (I timed it!) for anyone to come bring waters or address us as their table. A little hard to operate with urgency when no one takes your order!! I got up, told the host stand, and they sent a server over, and he proceeded to come back all of three times. We also had to flag him down to get our check, while we sat with empty waters that were never once refilled. We had pizza, cod sliders, and half orders of aglio e olio pasta. The cod sliders were more breadding than fish, but the flavor was decent. The pasta was delicious. No five star Italian meal, but it hit the spot and the portion was plentiful. I didn't try the pizza but it was 12 inches, piping hot, and the two eating it couldn't finish it. The food came out quickly and hot. I think we spent under or just about $100 for four folks to have dinner + drinks, so the prices are really solid. Perhaps you get what you pay for though? Both of our male servers seemed annoyed to be dealing with us and mostly unhelpful. Noteworthy mention: there was a female server who was kind enough to bring us a brown paper bag for our to go box. She was running around and her tables seemed well cared for. Disappointed in my experience and the customer service.

When we walked in, we thought it was gonna be packed because there were no reservations on OpenTable however they were able to see us right away. A very nice touch to add a stem of Rose for the women. I would say that I gave it a lower star rating not because the food was bad. It was actually delicious, but probably the experience itself. The restaurant felt chaotic, and even though all the tables were not completely packed of course there were flowers everywhere people gathering with grandmother's mother's children, etc We were seated in a two people table and all the top past dishes started to pile up very quickly. Instead of monitoring, the progress of the finished dishes and removing those dishes due to space constraint, the dishes came from the kitchen, almost on top of one another, and at one point I had to hold a dish in my hand in order to make space to put a dish on top of another flatbread pan/dish, making things super chaotic. Also dishes had to be put on top of the menu because in order to order additional food, you need to leave at least one copy of the menu at the table. Overall, again the flavors and taste were good, though I might have had similar dishes from other places, and my partner commented that some of it is actually very close to the Capital One landing at DCA. I would just say that it was more due to the chaos and just the way that all the dishes piled up on top of us we felt like we were we had to eat super quickly so that we could stack dishes ourselves and create room at the table. Also, when serving the dishes were not kept level and basically was slide to the side of the dish, making presentation off

The food was absolutely delicious, and the Italy drink specials were such a fun touch. Everything we ordered was full of flavor, and you can tell there is a lot of thought and creativity behind the menu. The highlight of our visit was the manager, who I unfortunately cannot remember the name of. She was amazing, so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like valued guests. She took the time to talk with us about upcoming events and everything the restaurant has to offer, which made the experience feel so personal. We have always loved Palette 22 and still miss the NoMa location, so we were excited to visit the Arlington spot. It did not disappoint, and we are looking forward to coming back again soon!

The focus of this restaurant is on food and art. I saw a man painting when I walked in here and it was very detailed. It is a lively scene in here. Palette is a nice play on words for the art palette and palate for taste. They serve tapas (small plates) for a reasonable price. There is an all you can eat option in which your entire table has to order, or you can order a la carte. I ordered primarily off the happy hour menu which included the chicken slider, shrimp tacos, jerk chicken skewer, garlic wings and for dessert, I got churros. Most of the food here were extremely salty and did not agree with my palate. The shrimp tacos were the best thing I ate as the veggies gave the taco a refreshing taste. Not the most sanitary either as I found a piece of hair in my food. There is a parking garage nearby a block away.
