I stood at the pickup area for several minutes while three employees were behind the counter. One of them looked directly at me while drinking water but didn't even greet or acknowledge me, and the other two never seemed to notice that someone was waiting. It felt like no one paid attention to customers at the pickup station unless they walked over to the ordering counter. I wasn't helped until another employee came out of the kitchen to assist a different customer. She then went behind the counter, chatted briefly with her coworkers, noticed me waiting, and finally asked if I was picking up an order. The food has also changed. I used to buy the strawberry crepe for my daughter almost every weekend because we loved it. This time, it was soggy and overwhelmingly sweet, with far too much topping and syrup. It no longer has the same quality it used to. The omelet was still decent and about the same as before, but the cappuccino was bland and forgettable. Nothing about it stood out. Based on this visit, I won't be coming back. It's disappointing to see both the service and the quality decline from what used to be one of our favorite places.

Surprisingly, there are always little cafes in these kind of places that feed the immediate workers there. They are sometimes the hidden gems nobody will hear about unless you work in that area. This is one of them. Walking in, it feels like a small diner, yellow walls, lots of menu above the grill area displayed on multiple screens, properly lit dining area. They take orders at the end and at a kiosk as well. Window seats, couple of tables, and some bar seats also. Seems simple enough but this place is the ultimate trap for the hungry. Be careful! When you look up, you realize they have a vast menu and varied in the most fantastic way. You have your generic American style food, eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, sandwiches, coffee, smoothie, an all day breakfast menu. Then you keep walking around to look at the menu, you see sushi, rolls, poke bowls, ramen, some dons, etc. You might think, hmm, they might be overloaded on the menu. Wrong! They make fantastic sandwiches! Smaller not overpriced ramen but with lots of oomph flavor! These guys bring the umami and drip it like masters. The dons hit, the ramen hits, the sandwiches hit, and my all time favorite breakfast item, the elegantly simple French toast hits. They are serving hits here and only a few know about it. Service was adequate from their high school kid waiters. The owners at the grill are very friendly if you get a chance to interact with them. Just a very chill ambience. It's diner that makes me want to move to Lorton. If you find yourself here one day, be careful. The menu makes you want to try everything. I haven't touch everything yet so I'm definitely coming back to try more. I just hope all these reviews won't mean I can't find my cozy window seat in the future.

I recently visited Silver Diner on Franconia Rd in Springfield and ordered breakfast TO GO on Friday morning April 19. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by a concerning incident. While enjoying my Country Scrambler at home, I encountered a piece of broken glass 0.5 inch long x 0.25 inch wide in the meal, which was not only unexpected but also potentially hazardous. This discovery raised serious concerns about food safety and the quality control practices at Silver Diner. I urge Silver Diner's management to prioritize food safety and quality checks to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Additionally, I believe it would be prudent for the Fairfax County Health Department to conduct an inspection of Silver Diner's kitchen to ensure the safety and well-being of future customers. Please see the attached photo of the foreign object found in my meal. As a concerned customer, I hope this issue will be addressed promptly to avoid any potential harm to others. When I came here I was somewhat surprised. I must preface this review by indicating that I am accustomed to those Diners in New York where most of them are your standard "greasy spoon" joints, and they all serve the same food. This one does things a little differently and I would come back if I happen to be shopping in the area(it is within walking distance of Target, and a few other shops). They have very many healthy options on their menu and they even show the nutritional information for them. My wife enjoyed the Smokehouse Burger with a salad, for instance. But don't be put off by this; they still have all the comfort food you'd expect at a diner with some originality mixed in. I liked the country fried steak All in all, I'd say this isn't exactly the place to go for a nice night on the town, but it is a very enjoyable place to bring the kids for a quick bite after a shopping trip or a movie. Fun for breakfast. Eggs Benedict was mediocre. The hollandaise sauce was way too lemony, but the addition of the oven roasted tomatoes was nice. The bacon was some of the best I've ever had, and I'm not a huge bacon fan. I was happy to see the yogurt based pomegranate shake, but it was more banana flavored than pomegranate. I also think it would benefit from the addition of agave syrup instead of sugar. The cheesy grits were cooked perfectly and topped with grated cheddar. I personally prefer to have it mixed in with enough cheese to turn the grits orange, but that's just me. They were slightly under seasoned, so I just added a bit of salt. Voila! The service was great, our server was fantastic and had a wonderful personality. Nice restaurant atmosphere, much like a Johnny Rockets, only more of a "down home" feel. read more

The food was decent, typical diner fare. We ordered 3 burgers, 2 salads, loaded fries, and 5 sodas - all standard cheap, mediocre diner choices. However, I couldn't wrap my head around the nearly $200 bill for this meal. A small plate of fries with a smattering of cheese and a few bacon bits was labeled as "loaded fries" and priced at $13. It was the saddest excuse for loaded fries I've ever encountered. While this place used to be fine a couple of years ago, the current prices are simply outrageous. To make matters worse, the tipping options were limited to 20%, 25%, or 30%. Despite feeling that the service didn't warrant it, I reluctantly added on an extra $25 tip. I visited this establishment this morning with my family to celebrate Father's Day and have some feedback. I ordered the Caramel French Toast, scrambled eggs, and chicken sausage. While our server was polite, it was apparent he was overwhelmed. He took our order, but we didn't see him again until we paid the bill. My meal was decent, but I didn't receive the caramel for my French toast, which was disappointing. Despite that, the meal itself was good. The ambiance was understandably crowded due to Father's Day, but I expect to receive everything that comes with my order, especially on a quieter day. I have mixed feelings for this place. I have gone their for years and enjoyed their service and their food has tasted pretty good for the most part each time i went there. I have had extraordinary service a few times and I've had good service, but Ive never had a bad dealing with a waitor or waitress. Having said that, Numerous times i have spotted cockroaches roaming around inside the establishment. and no matter how good the food is or the service, that is something that churns my stomach. I dont think i could eat something if i even had the thought of a cockroach being in proximity to it. read more

He then, told us to google it if we wanted to know what medium rare is, like we haven't dined in at a restaurant and ordered steak medium rare before. (The image is of what most of the meat looked like in the inside and you can see we were trying to cook it more in the back) Apparently, this is not new for them to serve meat a lot more rare than they are meant to. (I saw a reviewer that had shown medium rare meat when they ordered well done. I tried contacting the business to make sure this incident doesn't occur again, but unfortunately their email address doesn't work and there is no direct number to call the store owner.

Nice and juicy, large and the cheddar jalapeño bun is just the topping to finish itnoff. When im in the area I deff love stopping by and grabbing a bit. The ta les have an NFC chip for you to bring up the menu.

I'd come here a couple of years ago and was not greeted and kept standing at the hostess station…read morefor 6-7 minutes, so I just left. Today, we were greeted quickly and warmly and shown to a table. My Dad had a huge burger, which he said was good. My sister had the Gumbo- I tasted it and it was delicious! My Caribbean chicken and shrimp would've been delicious, but the chicken was way way too salty! The shrimp and beans and rice were both good. I'm so glad I ordered the sauce on the side because it ratcheted up the salt level to briny. Our server was adequate. The dining room is in a sort of weird U-shaped to me, but and spaced to serve. The friendly Manager stopped by our table to give my little niece a toy, and check on our experience. Our food hadn't come yet, so I didn't share that I didn't enjoy my meal. Even though I didn't enjoy the dish I had, I probably come back to try the burger.

The spaghetti had a curry taste that I personally didn't enjoy, and the cocktail was way too sweet for my liking. Our server was nice, but we didn't receive silverware until after our food had already been served, which was a little frustrating especially since the restaurant was not very crowded at the time. One positive was that parking was very convenient and easy.
