I called Thursday she would not take my order refusing to put butter on my toast. She stated they do not do that I said i understand but i do not like dry toast. She again she said they do not do that I said so you are willing to loose a customer she said we can not butter the toast. So i will no longer patronize this location. read more

I used to love to go to Silver Diner, the first thing that made me fall in love with this restaurant was the healthy options they offer. But the cookers here ruin everything. The most of the times is something wrong with my food. Staring with old food, overcooked hamburgers, uncooked vegetables, if they are running out of one ingredients they replace it with wherever they want. I went this morning with my family (5 people) to celebrated my birthday. My daughter and husband ordered Chicken and Waffles and Country Fried Steak they both complained about their food my daughter said that they made better work the last time and my husband said was too salty but they still ate it. I ordered The Bruschetta and Eggs and OMG the only good thing was the eggs, because they over loaded the bread with tons of goat cheese and the balsamic vinaigrette then topped them with a lot of basil instead of micro greens that I never saw but they described in the menu but let me tell you that combination is not bad the problem here is they put TOOOO MUCH that was inedible, with just a few bites and 4 hours later I still feeling the acidity in my mouth. So I send it back and ended with no breakfast because at that point the rest of my family almost finished with their food. Thanks Silver Diner to ruin my Birthday I appreciate it a lot. I stopped by here this morning for breakfast. The staff was very nice and we were escorted to our table with no wait time. It didn't take forever to get our orders put in, and once they were we waited (2 people) for 10-15 minutes for our food to be brought out. It looked awesome and tasted even better. Nothing for either order was messed up. I suggest getting the Jack Cheddar Cheese with sausage :) read more

All of the vegan options are excellent and they are very accommodating toward food allergies. I love having breakfast here on the weekends!

We looked at the menu online at decided to give it a try because it always looks busy when we drive by. Our waitress was wonderful, fast and friendly but the food? Yuck! We ordered cheese fries for an appetizer and what we got was partially melted grated cheese. Not to mention that there was hardly any cheese. Even the waitress commented how little cheese there was. My husband got the fish and chips and ate just a few bites. This man eats anything. Has served in the Military for over 20 years so has eaten chow hall and MRE's for months at a time but couldn't finish his fish and chips. To find a brunch appropriate restaurant in Woodbridge is like finding a pin in a haystack (sorry for resorting to old fashioned proverbs but its true). I am tired of going to IHOP over and over again so when I was looking through the reviews for Silver Diner I had to give it a try. Reading the words organic and locally farm fresh and seeing the pictures made me re-think my horrible experience some 8 years ago when 'brunch' wasn't even a thing. So a couple Sundays ago, me and a friend decided to take advantage of living so closeby and meet up for brunch. We were seated immediately and I found myself admiring the jukebox at our table (added a cute 90's vibe). We ordered the famous Roasted Veggie Huevos Rancheros to share. My friend ordered the banana french toast (which she had tried before and loved) and I decided to go with the paradise french toast. Everything was tasty! My french toast especially was the right amount of thin (I dont like chunky french toast) and crusted with coconut. Just perfect! The reviewers are right; this place delivers and I am so glad Silver Diner decided to revamp their menu because I will definitely be a frequent customer when the need to have brunch in the area arrived without having to drive 20miles or so. read more

Don't get me wrong, I like Silver Diner. But the quality of food at the Woodbridge location is quite noticeably inferior to the Springfield and (especially) Fairfax locations. Our orders are consistently drier, uses cheaper ingredients, the soups are more watery, the pasta not as tasty... you name it. We eat here in a pinch, but I'll always opt for another location if I happen to be closer. read more

Oh silver diner how I love you so. This is one out of the four different Silver diner locations I have been to in NOVA. The service has been consistent at of them. So I just chose to review the closest. I go every once in a while for dinner with a friend. I passed silver diner many times in the past and I have never been enticed. "Diners" don't usually excited me. However, one night after a late event, it was the only decent place open at 2am so me and my friend decided to check it out. I totally did not expect to find what we uncovered; an extensive menu for diverse palates! ORGANIC, VEGAN, GLUTEN-FREE, AND MANY LOCALLY SOURCED FOOD, UNBELIEVABLE! Long story short, Silver diner shot up on my list of favorite places to eat. As a mainly plant based eater I really do appreciate their variety in vegan/vegetarian options. Dropped by at 8 a.m. for breakfast before beginning our errands on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. We have been here now about five times at different hours of the day and can honestly say that this place is a 4.5 star place. I withhold the .5 because of service. Two of the times that we were here the service was a full five stars! All of the other times service was mediocre at best. Really wish that the place was more overstaffed, especially during the rush, as opposed to being understaffed. Sometimes the coffee cup sits empty, or the Tabasco doesn't arrive until half way during the meal, or napkins never arrive, or something else is missing, or the silverware is dirty and needs replacing, etc. service needs to be better, especially because the prices are on the higher end for breakfast. Onto the food! The food here is always amazing! The quality does not get any better. This morning we had the country scramble with oatmeal instead of the strawberry bowl and wheat toast instead of pancakes and the pancakes with blueberries, breakfast ham, and scrambled eggs. The country scramble had way too much moisture for me, I would've preferred it to be dry so that I could get a little crunch out of the potatoes. That's just me. The blueberry pancakes were delicious and so was the ham. The ham was very tasty and way less salty compared to country ham. Good stuff! The wheat toast is a must! All the grains...it's so good. We always get toast, whether it comes with the meal, substitute for it, or order a side of it--it's pretty food. I am shocked and appalled by this place. I love Silver Diner because I'm not a big meat eater and love fresh veggies. It is one of my favorite places to go. It has other options besides typical diner or sports bar meals. I constantly go to the Springfield location but happened to be this way. The waitress was very odd and didn't give any warm and fuzzies, she was older I think her name was Sara. I ordered the Thai pasta and it came out in like 2 mins almost impossible. I'm pretty sure they heavy duty nuked it. When I started to eat a pistachio harder than a rock completely broke my tooth. I told the waitress what happened and she quickly snatched my plate from me like it was evidence and then was pushy about what I wanted to do. I was tired it was 10 at night and was starving. I just said give me a patty melt without thinking. It took forever and the table in front of me was shouting, stomping, clapping, singing, and shaking my whole table. The booths are shabby and unstable. You feel every movement from every person. I was trying to eat and was visibly in pain. I asked for a box so I could just try to eat in peace at home slowly and without a pack of wild animals in front of me. You couldn't hear yourself think. She nonchalantly handed me a box. No one attempted to apologize, or make the situation right. I wasn't there for free food, I eat out everyday and go there all of the time. The manager was creepy and was all over the Spanish women who were the bussers. The 3 of them stood there running around horse playing the whole time I was there, 2 never moved once ever. He saw and heard what happened because I was seated in the front close to where he and the girls were standing. He made no attempt to say anything to me and knew what happened. He even grabbed my plate when I was boxing my sandwich. That was awkward too, I couldn't even get everything in the box and he was trying to take my plate, and took my napkins so I had nothing to wipe my hands with after transferring food. These people have a thing with snatching your plate from you. Oh yeah, he also brought my food. I was on my phone trying to see if I had enough time to put in a to go order at Red Robin for my mechanic (he doesn't like that SD, totally get it)who was working on my car. So the manager is on like stealth mode standing over my shoulder with my plate in his hand because I was looking at another restaurant website I guess...I will never in life be back. My tooth is killing me and jagged. I could've gotten a we're sorry something inedible was in your food, here's a drink, and would've been fine and said something along the lines of things happen. When you think of diners you think of greasy, cheap meals but Silver Diner definitely raises the bar. Not only does it have a great atmosphere, personality, and friendly/quick service, they have healthy options?! Score! I had the low-fat vegetarian omelette, which was gigantic and came with two slices of fancy sunflower seed toast and a cup of fresh fruit. It was really unexpected that the bread wasn't cheap white bread and it was served toasted but dry, not soaked in butter! Everything was delicious, even their organic ketchup was awesome. My mom had their coconut french toast which was literally caked with coconut. It looked awesome, and must have tasted just as good because both of our meals disappeared quickly. While the prices are a bit higher than most diner food and therefore the review should be more of 4 stars, I felt that they made up for that in their non-traditional healthy spin on meals and incredibly friendly and attentive service. read more

We like this place and come here often The menu has so many choices and so many are our favorite that we never get bored. Today I tried something new - crab cakes. And they were delicious! Very juicy and full of real crab meat, no fillets! They came with tartar souce, Old Bay french fries and a nice salad. I must say tartar souce was also very good, tart and just a tad spicy, just right! My husband got a lamb burger, one of his staples and he was very happy with it. He asked for medium and it was done just right, with plenty of goat cheese (yummy) and mushrooms. His side salad with feta cheese, olives and vinegrette dressing was also pretty good.
