Ambiance: warm, house converted to restaurant feel

First of all, I have never dined somewhere where the staff are as genuinely friendly as the team here. They operate like a real family, not in the toxic "we're all family here" way, but in a warm, supportive, actually-enjoyable-to-witness way. You can feel it the moment you walk in. Add to that a rustic, cozy ambiance that's honestly a 20/10, and you're already off to an incredible start. I ordered the Shakshuka, and it was phenomenal. The eggs were cooked perfectly, which is no small feat, showing real expertise in the kitchen. Comforting, balanced, and clearly made with care. We split the green apple and blue cheese salad, which was good, though I've had better. If the dressing were just a bit sweeter and more seasoned, it would really hit its stride. Adding more caramelized pecans and a bit more chopped green apple would give it that final kick it needs. Still enjoyable, just shy of great. The vegan lentil chili was so close to being one of the best I've ever had. The combination of vegetables and lentils was absolutely spot-on, it just needed a touch more seasoning for my taste. A small salt/sugar balance would take it over the top. The corn muffin served alongside was good as well, but could also benefit from a little seasoning. All things considered, this place is a 10/10 for Park City dining. Incredible atmosphere, outstanding service, and food that's thoughtful, skillfully prepared, and clearly made with heart. I'll absolutely be back. TLDR Ambiance: 20/10 Staff Friendliness and Eagerness to share recommendations: 30/10 Shakshuka: 12/10 Vegan Lentil Chili: 7/10 Green Apple and Blue Cheese Salad: 7/10

Stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant. Amazing view over the golf course and mountains, as well as interesting food and great service. We would definitely go back.

This is the first time I had lunch at the Silver Star Cafe in summer time. We would ski down from the slope and eat here when we come skiing in the winter. Menu is the same, the atmosphere is very different. Service is great. We sit at the outside patio with great view.

I've had dinner and brunch here multiple times each. I highly recommend dinner, but have mixed feelings about brunch. For dinner, I always get their Pork Osso Bucco. It is phenomenal and I dream about it. I will always come back for this dish alone. For lunch, I've tried an eggs Benedict, avocado toast, and the Kentucky butter coffee cake. The eggs Benedict is pretty underwhelming and so was my boyfriend's traditional breakfast. The portions at breakfast were tiny and not up to the quality or creativity of dinner, but still expensive. The star of the show was the coffee cake-- definitely try that! Avocado toast tasted good but would have been less than enough food if I didn't add a poached egg. Service here is always quite good, though, and the ambiance is really nice. Depending on the day, you can catch pretty views. I also love that you can get there from the ski slopes and then take the silver star ski lift back up. I'd definitely recommend coming here for a try, especially regular lunch/dinner!

After a little mid-day hike, our party of five arrived to silver star cafe... We knew that they were open until 2:45 and arrived for a late lunch just a few minutes after 2. There was a 20ish minute wait, which seemed reasonable, and then we were seated inside. (Side note: If you do arrive at 2:30 or later, you may be turned away. I did see at least one party turned away in this fashion). This cafe is charming and our service from Sammie was attentive. Food was high quality and we devoured our lunch. Our table had the Gyro with Chicken (this was my favorite), a Mountain Green salad, a pizza, and a Grilled Cheese with French Fries. Beverages at our table were Cream Soda, Arnold Palmer, and Lemonade. I did see real drinks being served to other tables and they looked great! Portions are a good size. Views are fabulous. I will definitely look forward to returning to this little hidden gem on future visits to Park City!

If you can't enjoy a meal here, there isn't much I can do to help you. Everything about this place screams chill...amazing Mountain View's, classic rock and fantastic food. Even though I have a very small sample size, I'm pretty confident the food is amazing across the board. I had a tough time deciding what to order, decided on the Green Chili Burger based on the fact that it is very hard to get good green chili dishes in the Midwest. No regrets about this decision.. It had a great beef blend don't remember the exact combo but I'm pretty sure brisket and short rib were in the mix. I was cooked to a perfect medium temp, topped with crispy onions, mustard and an amazing green chili salsa. The fries were clearly hand cut in house and absolutely delicious. The staff was great too. Attentive and inviting. No surprise Guy Fieri hit this place up on Triple D.

Just a nice spot, open air, Mountain View's, live music, great food, service is good. Ate the sachutas if I spelled it correctly. Very heavy, good on a very cold day, but summer dish don't recommend.

Mom and pop feel with great service! After a long day on the slopes and going to a sundance film, my friend and I just wanted somewhere cozy to grab a heart warming dinner. And this was the place to be! The restaurant was easy to find, parking was not difficult, right in front of the restaurant. Although I can see it becoming quite packed if during rush hour or on a busy day. We made a reservation so it was easy to get seats. After we sat down, our waitress was super welcoming and enthusiastic, I believe her name was Julia. She got us started on some delicious old fashioned drink modified with maple syrup. Then we started with the soup of the day and the turkey meatballs. The soup was super flavorful, fragrant, and deliciously light. The turkey meatballs could use more work, it was a bit dry, but the soup helped soften it up a bit eaten together. For the main dish, we split an apple and blue cheese salad followed by the mushroom stroganoff, which was super good, although the beef stroganoff was not cooked the "traditional" way that I am used to. The noodles were not the wide ones I'm used to, but take a look at my photo, and get a sense of the ingredients. Overall, great place for a late dinner after long day out, cozy ambiance, delicious food, and fantastic drinks!

Is it possible for a 6th star? Silver Star continues to be one of our top 3 places to eat in Park City, which is saying something knowing the local competition! We always try to sit on the patio if possible with AMAZING views and laid back atmosphere outside! Please note that it is best to get a reservation especially during more peak tourist times. Second important note... If sitting outside, please dress for the weather as when that sun goes down behind the mountain it can get chilly real quick! If you come to Silver Star, MAKE 100% SURE someone in the party gets the Osso Bucco as it's one of our favorite things to eat anywhere! We always hear people compliment the server or manager on this dish, so just do it. Started with the Roasted Sherried Grapes and Burrata and was very good. The on to the Osso Bucco and it's our third time getting it as this is our 2nd trip to PC. It still continues to amaze me how good this dish is. We got a side of the Mac n Cheese to split which was also top notch but the star will always be the Osso Bucco. We will be back on our next trip to PC for certrain!

I came here as a recommendation from my local friend, I was expecting a good meal not just sandwich and pizza but I was told that those fish plate and stuff are on the dinner menu... 2 of my friends ordered smoked turkey club recommended by the server, I tasted it, it was good, but I'm not a sandwich person so I ordered chili verde, it's one of my favorite Mexican dish but this one was more like a small cup of soup with a few tortilla chips. It seems a bit over priced, $30 for a burger, $22 for my chili verde soup and also $22 for a sandwich... I won't go back there...

My experiences are pretty hit or miss (mostly miss), but my last attempt to see Galactic did not leave a good impression. Why are the clientele here always so hammered by the time the main act comes on? I had at least 4 drinks spilled on me with not even as much as a sorry. Also the girl in front of me was so drunk, I was expecting her to just fall over if it wasn't for her boyfriend. What is wrong with people in this club? Oh wait, maybe it was the fact that the opening band was a no show and they failed to mention that. Instead they want you to waste 2 hours trapped at their bar paying exorbitant prices since you can not leave once you enter. Trapped in hell. Speaking of hell...The venue itself seems hell bent on making you wait in line forever to get in. It is almost as if they do it to look cool. Surely they can speed up their archaic process. Also, don't bother trying to get up to Park City early to grab a ticket before dinner. They will not sell you a ticket without you immediately going inside. Then when you go back they will most likely be sold out and try to up-sell you a VIP ticket. Make sure to buy tickets way ahead of time. One last note, I can't shake the feeling of this place being a death trap if a fire broke out. Great White circa 2003 anyone?? It is packed to the gills and the exits seem like they would be hard to get to. Especially with all the drunk idiots you will have to climb over.

You're able to bring your own food, chairs, blankets, etc. into this venue, which is nice. You cannot bring in your own alcohol. You can also pay for a picnic dinner here too for pick up? So cool. They have various food tents around the venue as well. There were only a handful of areas to buy drinks, and they all had long lines, which is to be expected at a concert like this. Drinks are expensive, which is also to be expected. There were only two bathrooms that I saw within the venue, but you can come and go from the venue which is awesome, and you can use the bathrooms within Deer Valley Resort. I haven't been to a show recently that allowed re-entry so that is pretty cool. We snagged a spot all the way up in the back of the venue and could see the stage, but not super well. They have screens here but they're not huge. If you want a better spot I would suggest coming early. I was really impressed by the experience here. We stayed for the entire show and leaving wasn't really an issue. There was some traffic getting out, but it wasn't bad compared to other venues I've been to. The mountain is enormous, the skiing is excellent, and you are staying in an actual town rather than an isolated resort village. I have rented houses in Park City several times, and it has always worked exceptionally well as a home base for skiing Park City, Deer Valley, and Alta during the same trip. Beyond the skiing, Park City has a lively mountain town atmosphere that reminds me a little of Breckenridge or Steamboat. Historic Main Street is vibrant without feeling stuffy, with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, and places to hang out after a long day outside. The direct connection between the mountain and town is especially cool, and the Town Lift makes the whole place feel unusually integrated rather than separated into a ski area and an unrelated downtown. Up on the mountain, the sheer size gives mixed groups an incredible amount of flexibility. Park City and the former Canyons terrain now form more than 7,000 acres, with long groomers, steep bowls, and plenty of areas where people can spread out without losing the ability to regroup. I do not remember every individual trail from my visits, but I remember the mountain feeling broad, varied, and substantial enough that you could ski for days without repeating the same routine. Another major advantage is the accessibility from Salt Lake City. You can fly into a major airport, reach Park City without an exhausting transfer, and use it as a central point for several of Utah's best ski areas. That convenience matters even more when you are coordinating a group, renting a house, planning dinners, and trying to balance skiing with everything else that makes a trip fun. During one visit, we ate at Robert Redford's restaurant, and I have family members who have attended Sundance several times. That cultural connection gives Park City an identity beyond the mountain, with a crowd that feels energetic, social, and interesting without taking itself too seriously. There is plenty for nonskiers to do, and the town still has life after the lifts stop spinning. Ultimately, Park City is one of those places that makes a ski trip easy to organize and difficult to leave. The snow, scale, town, and proximity to other Utah mountains create a combination that few destinations can match. I highly recommend it and hope to return soon, ideally with enough time to explore far more of the mountain than I managed on my earlier trips.
