The food is yummy but they should give at least some type of small plate for family or friends but in all this is a great restraunt to go to! The service is great too as they are well kind! This was one of the best bowls of Ramen I have had! The garlic truffle with pork was so flavorful and was not overly salty. Everything in the bow complimented each other. Says it'll be ready within a ten-minute window (an hour after the time I was ordering). Cool, easy enough. Get there, and they have no clue where my order is... Then "oh! the order popped up!".... 12 minutes AFTER the time it was supposed to already be ready. What?? How is my order "popping up" just now? And they acted like it was my fault the order wasn't there. Take a little bit of responsibility over your own systems. Terrible service and a waste of time. A little apology never hurt anyone either. They really need to figure this out and they need to figure out the whole customer service situation. "OK, it'll take 15 minutes." I'm really disappointed with silverlake's quality lately. I do love coming after a movie and there's usually never a wait. But it does feel like the quality of food has gone down since their open. On my most recent visit, we got the mapo tofu bowl and the tsukemen. The tsukemen was average, it tasted mostly like chicken bouillon or instant ramen broth. The mapo tofu was incredibly disappointing. I wouldn't call it mapo tofu, just spicy tofu over rice. The rice was so dry and separated that I could've sworn it was old. In past times I've also tried their black garlic ramen and the spicy ramen, but they all honestly taste the same. For the price, this place just isn't worth it. read more

And it was packed Chairs were really odd comfortable and the employee's were Passive aggressive with the whole experience. A major bummer is that they have a lot of customers. Brightness level was at 200 which is taxing on eyes. You gotta get a light screen to make it bright. Oh highlight of the Night. Server vanished and was hanging in the back couldn't get water until I was ready to go. And was given the bill But didn't tell me I had to get up to pay for it. I have been to many ramen places but this one has to be my top 5 favorites. I got the Classic Ramen and the creamy Broccolini. Service 5/5- Our server Sean was really nice and attentive. Even though it was our first time there, he was there to go through the menu and talked about what he recommended and the flavors of each broth. This is something you don't experience everyday/service. Even though it was quite busy, I was impressed that he took the time to explain everything and occasionally check up on us. Classic Ramen 5/5- the broth was not too heavy and not too salty. I was hesitant to try this ramen because tonkotsu (pork broth) tends to be heavy and really salty for my liking. This one had a really balance to the taste and I ended up finishing my bowl. The Charsiu was nice and moist and had really nice flavor. Creamy Broccolini 5/5- LET ME TELL YALL. PEOPLE BE SLEEPING ON THIS!!! This was delicious! It was crispy, light and flavorful. It pairs really well with the ramen and it was the star of the night. The broccolini was nicely roasted and the dressing really goes together. Highly recommend for people who wants to try an app. I would get this again if i come back here. I tried the gyoza pretty good and it came with spicy Mayo sauce with cilantro on top. For the main entree, I ordered the shoyu which is a light soup base and not as heavy. A very good and convenient restaurant if you need something to eat before the movies! Located literally right next to the AMC, my family and I decided to eat here before watching our movie. It was not as busy as I expected, on a Saturday afternoon/early evening it was only around a 10 minute wait for us! We were seated promptly and greeted with friendly and responsive service, even down to the extra lemons we requested with our water which was sooo refreshing, considering we decided to grab soup on a 100+ degree day! I enjoyed the garlic truffle ramen, which had the glorious smell and taste of truffle with a delicious piece of pork belly that I devoured. My family also enjoyed the blaze ramen (which is the spicy tonkatsu choice that can be personalized by spice level of mild, medium, or hot), and my dad got the classic which also comes with a splash of the delicious black garlic oil. It's generally difficult to leave reviews when there are mixed results. So I'll give this an average rating. The food, literally 5 stars. No complaint. Have come twice and both times the pork buns and ramen have been perfection. The service, which is a major factor for some, was a little below acceptable. The first time we came, we were seated right by the door, even though there were available booths and tables. This was a little annoying because it was absolutely freezing and the proximity from the table to door is pretty close that you get an extreme draft every time the door opened. The second time was fine. Again, i wouldn't say the people are rude. But they seem very distracted, inattentive and not really wanting to help you out. Again, food is amazing. But if you're sensitive to service, maybe try another location or something else. read more

When Ryan and I were checking through local restaurants on an app, we came upon this one. Great location with a wide selection of food. All of the ramen broths had distinct flavors and weren't overly salty or heavy (we got shoyu on fire ramen). Also, I love the bun! Everything was mouthwatering. It was so good that we made a promise to return the following day for lunch and kept our word. Dinner was equally as enjoyable as lunch. We choose karage, garlic truffle ramen, and mushrooms (very recommended!). Although it was different, the ramen was just as excellent as the night before. Food will always be good.. this review is in regards for the lady server who worked on 9/21 around 12 noon.. took our order(2 ramen & crispy rice) and didn't bother to write down what we ordered.. she memorized our order and even said it correctly when she spoke.. she said it correctly... but then as we wait for our food.. we get our ramens fairly quick... and no spicy tuna crispy rice was ever to be found.. also I want to mention.. for being dead at the time.. she didn't even ask us if everything was ok or if we needed anything.. The classic ramen is totally not classic , you cannot taste the pork broth, the egg has no taste either. The pork belly cooked crispy but has some smell. My husband ordered hot Shoyu ramen is not classic Japanese ramen either. The services is very slow. Will not come back anymore read more
