So we came there tonight and not only did they overcharge us on the food, but they didn't give us the receipt. We got 3 #4 specials which is $4.25 and an order of fries for roughly $3 I asked for a small cup of ice and if they charged us for that, that's ridiculous. The total was $24.25 does that even make sense???? The burgers were totally mediocre. I felt like I was eating something from McDonalds. Look at the burger, the paper is covered in grease and the paper was melted to the cheese. Not to mention who the hell puts the burger patty on top of all the ingredients? The only thing that was remotely good was the fries. The fruit punch tasted watered down. I've had Simards before and they are usually ok, but this is just absolutely unacceptable. The fact that they robbed us and tried to hide the evidence is why they're getting 1 star. I wish I could give them no stars and have that employee reported to their managers. I'll remember the girls face who was behind this. She had black hair and was working the midnight shift on 4/24/14 into 4/25/14 the manager should be notified ASAP I want my money back and one less employee with a job. read more

I can't agree that Simards is better than Harrison's, because that simply is not true but I agree that it is a close second. :) Simards is delicious and convenient. The great thing about Simards is they are open LATE (2 or 3am) and they have a drive thru that accepts major credit cards or debit cards. They have a wide variety of foods, from roast beef and mozzarella sticks, to seasoned fries, fish tacos and hot dogs. Anything you could be craving they will most likely have. The only downfall is the drive thru gets crowded, quickly. You can wait upwards of 20+ minutes in that line, but if you're hungry enough the wait is well worth it. read more

The bread was stale, the beef was cold and lousy, and to top it all, there wasn't even any sauce on it. NONE. I've had lousy sandwiches from you one too many times. I discovered roast beef sandwiches around 2002 which really is a shame for a born and bred Massachusetts boy. I had Italian beef in Chicago which honestly doesn't compare and is a experience no one should miss but unfortunately it can't seem to be replicated out of the city. Ok back to roar beef holy trinity cheese sauce mayo ( and radish). Harrison's cooks a med rare in house roast puts it on an onion roll ( for large no reason to order anything else) and drops you toppings. There seems to be some concern in previous reviews in regards to staff politeness. I have never had anyone speak rudely to me but if your the type who needs a reassuring smile. Special recognition that you were able to place an order for a sandwich fries and a coke this isn't the place for you. These men and women are busy and all orders are called verbally notice the sandwich makers rarely look at slips. I can also remember at lunch there were employees with special needs working. I thought the owners were two bothers older guys biker look that make a darn good sandwich give back to their community and apparently do well by their employees because there doesn't seem to be much turn over. I love when reviewers bing up other places in comparison. Those of you who love roast beef X that's great eat there support them. I like Harrison's I eat here I also eat at other roast beef places. You need to appreciate the differences between them and enjoy those nuances, if not stick to a chain. Thirty plus years of great sandwiches I'll be coming back! read more

Hands down best Chicken Kabob Salad I have ever had, its my go to place. The chicken is always cooked to order, so it's hot and fresh. It is also moist and has a tasty seasoning. A lot of other places I've experienced serve dry and charred. The greek dressing has just the right amount of creaminess and tang. The feta is so creamy, with just the right amount of salt. It's one of my favorite parts of the salad. I've tried a few places in and around the area, but none of the salads can compare to Simard's. I gave it a 4, only because I haven't tried anything else on the menu. read more

Open late. Burgers cold. Fries were so soggy more like mashed potato. Onion rings were good. I only go here because they are open late. Window employee not friendly but still has a tip jar out. I really hate to give such a bad review, but this is the first time I have visited this establishment in many years. I did not order the roast beef (which was probably my error), but I recall them having very good tuna sandwiches. We used to order quite often from them before I started bringing a bagged lunch to work. I ordered 3 tuna sandwiches (served on a hamburger roll), 1 small fry, 1 large fry, 2 waters and a medium soda. The total cost was $40!!! Ok - I know businesses are struggling, that is fine...HOWEVER...I took one bite of the sandwich and nearly dropped. It was as if someone accidentally spilled an entire jar of salt into the batch of tuna fish. It was utterly disgusting. They were completely inedible! My daughter and I threw them right in the trash and didn't even attempt to give my granddaughter a chance to take a bite. I will never go here again, but in speaking with some of my co-workers that live in Wilmington, they indicated that the quality of food has gone way down and that the cleanliness is questionable. I do apologize to whoever is trying to keep this business alive, but you have dropped the ball. And one last thing, that I found odd, you will be asked at the order window if you are paying cash or charge, so I assume charging will cost you a fee...hence the $40 bill! read more

Super convenient and quick.. Jr. Beef with mayo is the go to, along with their mozzarella sticks and onion rings. They never have Syrian bread for their salads which is annoying and I wish they still had ice cream shakes on their menu! Try the seasoned waffle fries! read more

Gold mine! This place is so delicious especially after a long night of drinking. You will sit in a long line of 10 cars anytime after 11pm but it is so worth the wait. Mozzarella sticks, waffle fries, chicken sandwich, roast beef EVERYTHING is wonderful. Service is great too read more

Won't be back after walking in to use the bathroom and then order food. Guy behind the counter in the cook station with full arm tattoos and eating in the back with his back towards the customers. There is no way that should be how you are representing your business. Cover your tattoos and don't eat in customer view, and make an effort to wash your hands after stuffing your mouth. Plus he wasn't wearing a hat which goes against code in Wilmington. They are usually pretty good hear but there is no way I was going to let someone with such poor sanitation skills make my sandwich, not to mention he was wearing a T-shirt and looked like he just rolled out of bed. One customer lost means many more. The owner I hope starts taking staff presentation seriously, as well as guest perception so he can increase his previous year sales rather than lower them. Forget Kelly's! This place knows BeeF! Greek owned. They have the huge King Beef, the best Chicken Kabobs, Steak Tip Salads,hard shell tacos, chicken O's and Season Fries with hot melted nacho cheese! mmmmmm. All fried foods are cooked in trans fat free oil...chicken and beef are always fresh! Plus they pump the drive thru late night! Thank God, they're open Sunday -Wed till 1:30AM Thurs till 2AM and Fri & Sat till 3AM. I aint gonna lie, growing up in the Northshore we all have seen our fair share of Roast Beef Places and alot of them are really old and not that clean. Simards is newly renovated inside and out. Simards is one of the few places that stays open past 11pm at night in the city of Wilmington so it comes in very handy. Their roast beef is always very juicy with a nice tangy sauce but the real surprise at Simards for me was their steak tip salad. Wonderfully prepared and plentiful steak tips upon a pretty decent salad. They have always been able to prepare food very quickly for me and their drive through can be a blessing on those bitter cold nights. Gone downhill the past few years, maybe resting on laurels, local fame. -1 star for highest prices of nearby pizza/subshops. -1 star for frozen hamburgers (somehow ending up warmer than the Jr beefs) and soggy fries which is price paid for visiting off hours (when the sun is shining before they hire a police detail ... speaking of which, +1 for police presence). +1 star for decent big size potato skins app, they have changed my life ... Simard's rating is relative to what you're looking for, and at what time. As a regular place to get lunch or snack, then the food is average and likely not worth the trip unless you are in the general area. However, if it's 1am and you're leaving a party/game at someone's house then this is where you direct your DD to go. The drive-thru lane gets very crowded at times, and if the cars in front of you are full, then you can be there 20+ minutes. However the food is quick, tastes pretty good, and I've never had an order be wrong. read more

Good roast beef when you want something fast. Always so slow at the drive thru, very long lines especially at night. The workers are rude and often mess up your order. I once ordered a junior beef with mayo and somehow ended up with sweet and sour sauce? Not sure how you can confuse the two of those. Other than order mess ups the place is my go to when I need something fast but don't want a greasy fast food burger. read more

This place has a drive-thru that is open ridiculously late so once in a while after drinking I come here to satisfy my greasy fast-food cravings. ONLY after drinking because I cant tolerate the amount of grease & the huge portions of food 100% sober. Anything that you are craving, they probably have on the menu. The people at the window always seem really happy to be doing their jobs. They have a high tolerance for drunk people which is always a good thing. It does get pretty crowded late at night but if you want some bomb waffle fries with a side of nacho cheese, the wait is so worth it. read more
