Simone is such a cute and intimate space for date night. Came with one of my girlfriends to catch up and we had a good time. I had the Simone burger and she had the margherita pizza. Both were delicious! We shared the truffle fries and those were good as well. For cocktails we had Simone's Sangria! Definitely worth trying! I want to come back and check out their speakeasy. At the time, bachata classes were being offered and we definitely were not prepared for that!

It's been many years since my last visit here, it's even cuter than I remembered. They also have a cozy seating area in the back that I didn't remember. It's such a cute place, definitely recommend going here :-) you can reserve the back area for a private party.

This was a decent dinner experience. J. and I stopped by on a Friday evening in time for their happy hour. On arrival we were invited to sit wherever we liked. They have a bar setup with a few tables and chairs (plenty of people were working on their computers, coffee shop style). There's also a back room with couches. Our server soon greeted us and took our order. We decided on two of the red wines - J had a cab and I had a Chianti. We had a few bites beforehand, so we opted for one Man Pizza to share. All of our orders were good - we enjoyed the wines and the pizza was delicious! The main issue was just the timing - it took a long time for our pizza to come and I think our server may have initially forgotten the order. All's well that ends well, though, so it was a nice dining experience. I would consider coming back, but keeping in mind that they are on the pricier side of other similar restaurants in the area.

Not this place being here over a decade. Why I thought it was new? Any way I came through here work a bday celebration. Um there's like no parking but they have complimentary valet and there is some street parking further down sunset. The venue is small but there are little intimate spaces all through. There's a small wine tasting room to the immediate left. Then a larger apparently new space that appeared unfinished with seats. They offer food and beverages and some cutesy drinks. They have mood lightening aka its kind of dark inside. Server was pretty attentive there weren't many people in there though. You also have to goto the bar to closeout despite them taking your order at the table. The outdoor seating in the front of the restaurant is cute and I like the lightening. This is an interesting bar in the rice village area to check out.

Chic little boutique style wine bar. Wide selection of wines and interesting cocktails. Food is limited to pizza and small bites but as long as you're not going there for a "nice" meal you're good. They do have specials like steak night. Best of all is the cool ambience.

PLEASE READ B4 PAYING YOUR TAB!! When visiting this establishment, it is advisable to pay with cash and avoid providing your credit card to prevent potential discrepancies. The bar staff may allegedly inflate your bill, attribute another patron's tab to your account, and claim that you did not settle your bill. Furthermore, there have been reports of unauthorized credit card transactions, with one individual claiming a $400 charge the day after their visit. A group of friends visited Simone's for happy hour, arriving separately and opening individual tabs. They settled their respective bills, but one patron never received their credit card back after providing it to open a tab. Despite having a receipt for their order, the credit card was not returned. The following morning, the patron discovered a $400 charge on their account. They immediately recalled that the staff at Simone's had not returned their credit card. Moreover, the staff allegedly claimed that the group had walked out without paying for their meals, despite charging everything to another patron's credit card. The group possesses bank statements showing that Simone's deducted money from all our accounts By authorization, a payment was made to Simone's on Sunset from sll of our bank accounts. YOU WILL find the paid statements below. Upon calling Simone's, they declined to discuss the matter, stating that our party had left without paying our tab. We would like clarification as we sat at the bar, and it is unclear how six African-American females could have exited without paying. Could you please provide a clear explanation? AND MAKE IT PLAIN!!???

I was so excited to finally try this place, but boy, it was a huge let down. Giving this place 2 stars just for the ambience. The food was not great at all. The pizza which was about $16 tasted like the frozen pizza you get from the grocery store. You are better off going to Pizza Hut than getting pizza from here. The "truffle" fries tasted very basic. It was regular fries with very little cheese sprinkled on top. If you want real truffle fries, I'd suggest heading to hoppdoddy, where the taste and quality of the fries are WAYYY better than these. They only had ketchup and chutney that goes with the samosas. They did not have any other sauces. Also, the drink I ordered looked beautiful, however, they burned something in it to make it smoke, which left particles of ash and dust inside the drink. It also tasted burnt and ashy which kind of ruined the drink. I've had many flaming and smoked drinks, but this was just HORRIBLE. My friends tried it as well and none of us could finish it because of how excessively smoky it was. I came his for a birthday happy hour and they didn't even do anything special for the birthday girl, when we asked. Overall, it was a bit pricey for the quality of food you are getting. I'm always willing to pay for good food, but this just wasn't it. We will not be coming back, especially when there are so many better options at rice village nearby. The parking situation is also a bit of a hassle because there is only valet or else you have to park way down the street and walk. They have about 4 spots in the front the restaurant, which they also make you valet for. Not everyone wants to valet, so it would be nice to have an option to park somewhere nearby.

Came with some friends on a weekend evening. Service was just ok. I had a reservation but we were stuck with a very tiny table for 4 people (it was that or sitting outside in the cold). My cocktail was fun, the tonic water made the drink change colors slightly and it tasted nice. Food also just ok. Samosas were tiny. Pizza was average, nothing to really dislike but also nothing to rave about. We had to flag down the waiters to order things and bring us the check, etc. They have valet parking, based on tips. Otherwise you could try to park in the surrounding neighborhood. No available lot.

I celebrated my friend's 21st here, and it was a great experience! The drinks were delicious (a bit pricey), and the Rockefeller oysters with pesto sauce were amazing--highly recommend them. The service was excellent--they even brought us desserts to try, including lemon, chocolate cake, and pistachio cake, which were all fantastic. The karaoke room made it even more fun. Great spot!

This place is nearly pitch black. And I'm not saying this to blow up anyone's spot, it probably is a great spot for couples but it just wasn't my scene, especially when I vouched that it was a good place for me and my guy friend to chill. Also, the bartender wouldn't give me and my friend the time of day. I was really excited to see how this place made drinks and they wouldn't even service me and my friend...she just was checking her social media. Booked a reservation and had to rush from another event to make it in time. We get there on time and we still wait 20 minutes in the lobby to be taken up. Love the concept and the door behind the bookshelf. However, just tell us what to do and step out the way. They stand right on top of you and it ruins the pictures/videos. We get inside and the vibe is great. Low lit and nice ambiance and decor. We go to the back and get seated. It was kind of awkward seating for four but it got the job done. Cool view out of the single window to the city below. Let's get to the drinks and service. Apparently, it was a newer menu and many of the drinks we were told about were no longer listed. The server was very strange and off-putting. She didn't do the best job describing the drinks at all and kept calling us "my babies". Four full grown adults being referred to as "babies" by a woman our age or younger was just weird and she did it a lot too. No one liked it. The drink I got was extremely overpriced and came in a tea cup- not my cup of tea. My friend asked for something creative using tequila and pineapple- she said "sure, we can make that. Do you prefer 1942 or clase azul?" I stepped in. I know you have more tequilas than your two most expensive options. Of course they did and she gave him more realistic options to mix with. Had I not stepped in, she would have taken advantage of him. None of us were impressed by the drinks, the prices or the service. None of the fun and fancy drinks were shown to us nor seen throughout the bar or other tables. No smoke, no big bubbles being popped, no treasure chest with a drink in lol This was an expensive let down. We do a ton of high end and expensive dinners and bars. This did not live up to the hype or price point. Extremely overrated and the strange service left a bad impression on all of us.

The store front is very tiny, it could fit maybe 6 people fairly comfortably. They do have a speak easy space for their tastings, which is an interesting concept, which I'll touch on later. Effectively, they have different unique shapes of chocolate that are liquid filled with alcoholic and non-alcoholic liqueurs. Think licor 43, gin, bourbon, whiskey, tequila, etc. The chocolates themselves are good, there wasn't any that I disliked and I'd say the carajillo was one of my favorites. All that said, I think this can be hit or miss with some folks. I like them, whereas I can see how it has a bit of a flash in the pan type taste. It hits fast and then, that's it.Personally, I can get past that probably and could easily eat 10 in rapid fashion. Where this place loses my attention and where I struggle is the pricing. Value is always subjective and I'm sure some will find these to be well worth their price. For reference, I think it's 4 for $22, 8 for $34, when I recently visited. I just didn't find them to be worth that pricing model, particularly when there are other brands that you can get at a lower price and similar fillings. At the end of the day, I think this is worth it for an experience or date, particularly if you're going to go in for the tasting. Think, wine and cheese, in this case, cocktails and chocolates. It's $65 a person for the experience. Overall, I'm glad to see a boutique shop like this that's locally owned by a young, ambitious entrepreneur. My two cents, price lower and there is likely a higher amount of return customers for the chocolates, but I'll save you, the reader, the take on an entire business model diatribe here.
