Overall, very good but it was the dumplings and the cucumbers that really did it for me. I do wish that they had a bit more of the numbing spice but considering that this location is in west LA, I understand why it isn't. I will note that the cucumbers do have a good amount of vinegar and I did not have to add my own. REVIEW UPDATE (a few days after my initial review)*** This place was so good I had to try it in the restaurant. Ordered the two different kinds of combos. For the value combo, I got the wood ear mushroom and chengdu zajiang noodles. My husband got the other combo with spicy beef noodle soup and chili oil dumplings. Everything was soooo good but their beef noodle soup was SO good. We asked for chili oil to add in because the extra hot wasn't very spicy. I still stand by my earlier comment that the chili oil dumplings are the best item on their menu but it now has a close second, the wood ear mushrooms. Perfectly garlicky, vinegary and crunchy. So good. Note that the kiosk is only for take out orders! Service is very friendly and the restaurant feels very clean and bright.

You order at the counter and they serve you when your order is ready. Parking was easy, covered, and free in the structure that also services Total Wines.
