Definitely take advantage of their full bar. The food was stellar! I can't remember exactly what the catering menu entailed, but it was plentiful, flavorful, and had a wide variety. Everyone was happy, and spirits were high. The Lariat staff was really on top of all the logistics from what I could see. AMAZING food and reasonably priced. With a little cute dining area located inside what used to be a garage for DOT, I was expecting an average menu with average basic food. This is absolutely not at all what it was!! Yesterday.I ordered a fabulous penini with chicken, pears, and other yummy stuff. Then there was a multi colored slaw salad that was hands down one of the most tasty things I have had....so not your normal slaw. I returned today....(something I rarely do)...and a berry/spinach salad with serving of hearty beef stroganoff. AGAIN YUM YUM YUM. Who knows what i will have tomorrow....but I am sure it will be tasty. A definate must try in Buena Vista. read more

Simple Eatery is an absolute gem! The food was delicious -- everything tasted fresh, and the bread was clearly made in-house (and incredible!). This place is amazing! When driving across the State we plan our meals around being able to eat here. The food is always fresh, delicious and healthful. Had a bad experience with a very rude woman behind the counter, and for some reason (shame on me), I gave them another chance. Mediocre food and rude counter person first visit; no rudeness the second visit, but got a not-good Elkburger on bland, tasteless bread. There's better places in town. read more

I have never written a review before but this place is INCREDIBLE and worth mentioning. The food is delicious. We ended going going back for a second meal during our weekend, plus got a meal to go for the drive back to Denver. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Dogs are welcome on the patio. read more
