Simple Eatery is a nice place to stop for lunch if you're in the area. They have vegan and gluten free options including homemade gluten free bread. The sandwich was a little small for the price but tasted great. The soup was really good too. You order at the counter and find a place to sit and eat, they bring a glass of water and your food. Pretty simple. Overall it's a nice little spot with outdoor seating and good food, can't go wrong here.

We stopped by Simple Eatery while passing through Buena Vista for lunch -- heard good things and wanted to check it out. The building's shared with The Trailhead outdoor store, be ready for a long line at the counter since you order first and grab a table after. We sat on the patio, which was a nice call given the weather. We ordered the avocado toast, tomato bisque, and basil pesto primavera. The primavera was the standout -- the pesto was fresh and well-balanced, tossed through perfectly cooked pasta. The tomato bisque was rich and comforting, easily could've been a meal on its own. Avocado toast was solid too, good crunch on the sourdough, though it played more of a supporting role next to the other two. Vegetarian options here are strong, which isn't always a given on a road trip through small Colorado mountain towns. Overall a great lunch stop. If we're ever back through BV, we're trying the soup and salad combo next time.

This place was very well-organized and the food was pretty good. Loved my tomato bisque and chicken panini (chicken was the perfect tenderness, although it could have been even better with a tiny bit more flavor). My only regret was getting the mango and fig salad -- they were out of fig so it just tasted like a very standard salad, which didn't taste bad but just wasn't what I was looking for when I ordered it (could not taste the mango at all). Staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. We loved that each table had a dirty/clean plaque that they would flip once they had bussed and sanitized it -- our party has an immunocompromised member, so that really gave us a peace of mind!

The stroganoff with a salad is absolutely the best!! Simple eatery is a wonderful place and I love the trailhead right next-door!

Simple Eatery was such a great find and stop on our roadtrip back to Denver. And, wow, what a gorgeous patio. What I loved: fresh, locally sourced ingredients, creative combinations and craft cocktails to boot. Everything was vibrant, cooked well and really tasty. Staff were friendly, fast and took great care of us. We've already bookmarked Simple Eatery and will stop in again when we're in the area. Such a great find.

My first time in BV! My partner and I stopped here with my two huskies on a snowy December day. We took turns ordering inside, which shares space with an adjacent adventure goods shop. I got the Steak Stroganoff, and he got some sort of Cheddar Penne dish. We ate outside for a short while with the dogs, until it got too cold. We put the dogs back in the car and finished our meal at a table indoors. They have coffee and pastries in addition to hot plates. Plenty of options. The Stroganoff was gorgeously presented and tasted decent. There's plenty of street parking though you might have to walk a block or two. Customer service was good. It's a solid option if you're looking for somewhere healthy to eat, especially with vegetarians. I would consider coming here again, but there's other spots around town to try!

I stopped in there to get a quick bite to eat on the way back to Colorado Springs. I was not planning on coming here, but I wish I had more time to explore Simple Eatery. The menu looked amazing and fresh. They had the doors open to the outside patio as well as providing indoor seating. They offered loaves of freshly baked bread and I got in line to purchase a sourdough. It was soft and tasty and barely lasted 24 hours with my family. I also got a slice of pumpkin bread and it was just heavenly.

The tasting room is set up as expected. When you walk in there is a counter and you can order drinks or try a tasting. We actually just ordered a drink and took a seat in their covered patio area. They do have a food truck out there too, so you could eat here, but we stuck to drinks. Lovely little low key spot with good people watching, I had a Colorado Mule (bourbon) and a Margarito (which was kind of a take on a mojito with whisky). The hubby got two classics (an old fashioned and a whisky sour). They were all well made and delicious. Bartender was friendly. All around vibe was great. We ended up taking a bottle of bourbon home with us. Wonderful spot on Main Street Buena Vista.

It was almost all this way overdone breading. Not good at all. The "green chili" was as spicy as milk and equally as flavorful. My brother said the breakfast burrito was terrible. I saw it, and it did not look appetizing. Some of the "green chili" drizzled on top like an afterthought. Dry and uninspired. My son enjoyed his simple plate of bacon, eggs, hash browns, and toast, but those who ordered the Mexican food inspired dishes were majorly disappointed. As far as service, we waited forever to order. Our drinks were constantly empty. The server was very polite but things like missing items, missing silverware, empty coffees and waters starts to add up to a negative experience. Nice views outside and the place is clean so atmosphere is fine, but the rest was severely lacking.
