I used to go there and rated it a 5. Great food and service. But, ownership has changed and so has the food taste. I had a Gyro pita. The gyro was not all sliced meat we used to get. It was crumbles mixed with a few small slices. You could also see the sprinkling of seasoning throughout the sandwich. Meat was dry. The round potato fries are gone and now traditional fries. I used to pick up from the place all the time, and occasionally dined in with my husband. The owner, Terry, is extremely charismatic! He's charming, attentive, and know's how to make customers feel right at home. He also treats his employees APPALLINGLY, in case you've ever wondered why he can't keep anybody for longer than a couple months. Don't tip card. The staff doesn't see a penny of it, it goes straight to the owner. We loved the food, but haven't returned ever since overhearing him verbally abusing and insulting his cook. I immediately lost my appetite and wanted to leave. We asked the cook for a to-go box, and his energy had completely changed, like the life had been drained out of him. I forget the cook's name, but every single time we went, he greeted us with a smile and delivered outstanding service. He was there every time I went, sometimes being the only person working the restaurant. The owner cheerfully wished us a good night as we walked out. There is no doubt in my mind that his friendly attitude is a facade, and behind closed doors he is a miserable person. I keep seeing people rave on and on about this place, and knowing what I know it's truly exhausting. Please take your business elsewhere. Good food and service aren't worth your soul. read more

As a foodie, I vote this place a MUST try! My husband traveled to Greece and says this is the closest to authentic he's tried in Houston, and you can't beat the service either! The owner, Terry, is always so incredibly kind and helpful to us, and his staff like Alfred always make us feel so welcome, too! He even remembers my parents' order and asks me about their health when I come in for a bite. Highly recommend the gyro and their spin on lasagna with the Greek fries or Greek salad. Their dressing is 1000% better than anything you'll find at HEB. You also can't go wrong with the spanikopita, hummus, or baklava... I haven't tried anything I haven't liked so far, and if you're curious, just ask, and they'll explain the menu items. 10/10 recommend over any big chain restaurant! read more

Grows successful enough to open a store front. Now you can experience Greece on a budget. I was welcomed upon entry. Placed my to go order. While I waited there's beach paintings and murals on the walls. Traditional song's playing overhead. Even a tv with tropical destinations playing. My food was ready quickly and I was greeted with a big bag and a smile! I ordered the Greek salad with chicken and a side of hummus. Both containers were stuffed full. To put it simple, it was the best gyro I've ever had. But why? The lamb itself was soooo well seasoned and the furthest from bland, that's why! That's not a lack of terms to understand it's a hidden gem that I will visit when I can! I subbed the fries for lemon potatoes. They were very good but also strong with the lemon taste.
