Oh my gosh. Where do I begin. The minute I walked into this location, I have never felt such a warm and fun environment. I was immediately greeted by a worker with such a kind smile, and took so much time making my very complicated order and shoutout to Riley and Rina!! Those girls rocked! They were so kind. I asked for their names because they are just the sweetest they were so patient with me regardless of how busy they were and took so much time out of the craziness to provide great customer service. And then the minute they started making my salad- boy I was impressed! The way they are so fast and put in all their energy to make the salad perfect is awesome! A friend recommended this place to me when I was craving a good salad but I ended up with soup instead. I got the broccoli cheddar and it was by far the best and my friend got the Chinatown; I had a taste of it and it was amazing!!!! Had all the right flavors, very delicious. The interior was so cute and very clean and the staff was very nice and patient and detailed when explaining the different salads to my friend. Would definitely go back to try more salads. read more

Ordered 2 salads and 2 soups through Grub Hub, got 2 salads. Haven't eaten them yet because I had to go there and get them myself. I read the reviews and took my chances and l lost. Been hearing good things about this place. I was at one of the neighboring businesses when I decided to finally give it a try. As it was lunch time, I can imagine they were busy with online orders as there were hardly any customers inside and nobody in line. The one employee towards the front of where the line would start told me she would be with me and I could see she was stressed. She finally asked somebody to take my order. My order was taken by a very friendly employee. I love the "make-your-own bowl" concept which can also be made into a wrap. For one flat rate, you can have your greens, 5 ingredients, and then a dressing. There's an upcharge for extra items and premium items such as meat. They have benches for waiting on your order but no tables for eating (at least I did not notice any inside). They do have a few tables outside which may be shared with the neighboring businesses such as Starbucks, Movita, and Jimmy Johns. The lot tends to get busy at times because of a drive-through. We desperately need one of these places around DTLB! read more

When they say Simply Salad there's nothing simple about the flavors. Fresh ingredients, house made dressings, and build your salad or wrap options. Plenty of signature options so you don't have to spend the time thinking about how to the make the perfect salad. I ordered The Buff which is a buffalo chicken salad wrap with jalapeños for a spicy kick. I went with light dressing and it was delicious, but I think most folks would prefer medium dressing. It weighed at least a pound and I couldn't finish it. A great healthy and satisfying option that was fast and friendly with their service. Definitely not your grandma's salad bar. read more

Listen...I love salads. I definitely do not like an over-dressed salad but damn YALL RATIONING AROUND HERE?! No okay it's not that serious but I couldn't tell if my salad had dressing on it or not. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Simply Salad and everything they stand for. I first tried the Cerritos location and then tried this place and have ordered Grubhub from this place about 3 times now. Every time on my Grubhub order, I write that I am allergic to blue cheese and can not have any cheese on my salads, but every time I always get cheese in my salad bowl and I can't eat it. It's unfortunate, but their wraps and salads have been very good and consistent. I've resorted to ordering their salads without cheese and hopefully there is some turn around with their training. I went back to Simply Salad tonight and this time actually went to the store vs. ordering. It was a different experience, not wildly different though. I got the same exact salad as before. The amount of chicken was probably 10 times what I had gotten the first time. The other toppings were skimpy, I don't even think I had 3 peanuts. There were more wontons, but they really weren't great, more like oily rice paper instead of actual wontons. I will say, I enjoyed the salad. The Thai peanut dressing is SO good.
