My girlfriend and I finally gave this place a shot as we were feeling a good salad. While I had a build your own salad, with buffalo chicken crispy onions, and mushrooms with Romain lettuce, my girlfriend had a wrap with chicken and some other items. We decided to give the cheddar broccoli soup a shot. it was OK because we have had better but it still had the flavor necessary to pass. we both can understand why orders come from online because they do take a while to put something together. However, that won't stop us from coming back because we both loved what we experienced. I have never seen an eatery like this one! Happened to be up in Long Beach and was looking for a smoothie shop. Yelped at good one and woah- this place was next door! I got a smoothie since my heart was set on it and then came right over to check this place out! I thought it was so cool how they had the huge wall of lettuce! I was originally thinking of getting a salmon Ceasar salad but ended up getting a salmon Ceasar wrap instead. The worker chopped the lettuce and salmon in front of me and then wrapped it! Simply salad is the perfect place to go to for lunch when you want a fresh salad or wrap. I tried their chicken Caesar salad wrap and it was so tasty! I love that you can also create your own or customize some of their salads. The ingredients are all so fresh and it is pretty filling. The salads are a huge portion so I would recommend that. They also have appy hour on their app where you get like $3 off your order M-F after 3 pm. The staff is all so nice and the inside is extremely clean. This was my first time trying Simply Salad. I'm not particularly a salad person so I never bothered trying it but I heard good things about this chain and that you can get wraps. I came during lunchtime and I would say that parking here is tricky and tight. Inside it was pretty nice, but not enough tables inside if you want to dine in. I decided to get the Caesar wrap with grilled chicken for $4 more. You get to decide if you want the dressing on the side or mixed in and low, medium, or heavy. I chose medium mixed in and it was just the right amount, not too dry not too wet. The wrap was a pretty good size, I ate half was pretty full already. This salad is SO fresh and delicious! Ordering is simple but the amount of choices didn't make it easy for me to decide! I picked the Hipster and substituted beets for apples and added garbanzos. I like how on the menu dressing pairings are suggested but that I can choose any of the available dressings. The inside of the store is bright and clean. The greens are charmingly displayed in baskets which gives just-picked vibes. They taste just picked! Every ingredient tastes very fresh and house-made. No hyperbole, this is the best salad I have ever had. I cannot go back to my standard work lunches of grocery store salads after eating here. I open my wrap And start eating half of it. Almost done with the Wrap i pick up the wrap Trash and Find A dead BUG... bro that immediately made me so disgusted. i know mosiquites are everywhere but they shouldn't be in my $15 wrap i paid for. My daughter introduced me to this place. She brought home a chicken caesar wrap and let me have the leftovers. It was delicious!! I recently went again. This time I got the caesar wrap as well as the cobb wrap (me and my husband had half of each). The cobb was great too! The only downfall was that it took about 20 minutes for the 2 wraps to be made. The portion size is generous/filling, but their salad's are light enough that you don't crash midday. I prefer to use the app to order ahead for faster service. I've been ordering from Simply Salad for a couple of years now, most notably in the south bay when I worked in that area. I placed an order via the app as they had a special coupon and when I went to pick it up (9am) I noticed that the restaurant opens up at 10am, so I was a bit confused. The employee was very nice and told me that they open at 9am for pick-ups, which is really nice and super convenient if you want to pick your lunch up early before the actual lunch crowd. read more

I ordered a salad, wrap and a can drink and it came out to $27 and when I requested a cup for ice to pour my drink into, they told me I would have to pay for it. I asked the price and I was surprised to learn that the price for a plastic cup was $2. When did they become so greedy? I had already purchased the drink and why am I expected to pay extra for something as basic as a cup? I already bought the drink and need ti purchase a plastic cup too? How does this make sense? It just doesn't make sense to pay for a plastic cup when you already purchase a drink. The employee mentioned he could get in trouble if he gave me the cup for free. I explained that I bought the can drink from them, as well as the salad and wrap. All i am asking was a plastic cup for ice. To top it off, I also didn't receive a fork for my salad. Definitely don't want to ask them for a fork. They might want to charge me a ridiculous amount for a fork. This whole experience made the food less Enjoyable. read more

Sadly, I have to update my review to 3-3.5 stars based on my last several visits. They stopped bagging my order and started just leaving it on the shelf accessible to any person to touch or cough on or whatever. The quality has been inconsistent. Sometimes the salad it chopped so finely a toddler could eat it (I don't like it over chopped) and other times it's chopped once or twice with lettuce hanging onto each other and dressing clumped somewhere in the middle of the bowl while it's light elsewhere. Instructions have been ignored ie adding romaine when I ticked "no romaine" on the app. The kicker for me though is the haggling on dressing yesterday. I specified light dressing like I always do because it's usually a perfect pour but once again- inconsistent quality - so this time there was much more lettuce than usual and thus the salad was dressed super duper lightly to where my salad tasted like GRASS. Went back in the store for more dressing like I have once before with no issue, but this time they insisted on charging me because it's on the side? There was no courtesy from the staff and I was just standing there with my dry salad as they drew the issue out. What doesn't make sense is that I asked for light dressing to begin with which is already a fraction of a standard pour - I didn't select heavy dressing and then ask for a double - I get charging for that, but if I ask for light and it's too light and I want the rest of the standard pour - then why are you arguing with a customer about it ? I may not be back because of these issues. Other info: Usually staff is nice, and I enjoy the Appy Hour Promo - $3.50 off between 3-5p weekdays. That's cool. It's in a good spot with other shops. Shop is usually clean. You have to ask for bathroom door code from staff. Better to order on the app instead of in person because it takes a long time to get your order. I was excited to try this place based on a friend's recommendation. The parking lot is small and congested since it is shared with Starbucks (with a drive thru, Movita Juice Bar & Jimmy John's. Also Cane's is on the other side of the lot. There aew 2 EV charging stations in the shared lot. There are no tables inside to sit and eat your food, but there are 2 tables in front, just outside the door. The service was good. I ordered a salad with medium dressing. Upon walking in, its a super clean and simple set up. There is no visible menu and there is a salad bar setup to build whatever youd like. There are a wide variety of options available to choose from. I was craving a chicken caesar salad wrap and saw some good reviews on them here before coming. Theres only a few seats inside and a few tables outside available for eating there. Lots of online orders and pickups so there wasn't a line to order or anything. Staff was really friendly and asked my preference of amount of dressing which I've never even been asked before. Portions look substantial for the salads i saw people eating, but the wrap was a bit small. Regardless of the size, it was packed with grilled chicken and pretty substantial. Dressing was tasty and the wrap was well made. I really love the convenience of such a healthy spot for custom salads and wraps. Happy to have it so close to campus.
