Lunch menu.

Been a happy customer for over 10 years. Love the middle eastern food. Great lunch specials. Favorite are the kabobs. Priced at $9.95 a great deal. Enjoy the freshly brewed ice tea. Located in strip Medel with plenty of parking.

Chicken shawarma lunch special
Stephanie G.

Came in for lunch and they have some good lunch specials! It's a cute little restaurant and the service was super quick and friendly. You can't go wrong with some chicken shawarma (except spelling it) which comes with some rice and choice of 2 sides (got to make one the hummus with pita!) It was a filling, tasty portion that is especially great for those grabbing lunch quickly on a break. They also have wraps for less fancy options and some entrees for more fancy options. If you want some Middle Eastern food that's quick, reasonably priced, and tasty, you aren't going to do any better.

Awesome food! I love their breakfast! The breakfast potatoes mixed with onions are delish. The lunch special is enough for 2 meals. I love the chicken shawarma with sides of baba ghanoush & hummus with warm pita yummmm The owner is super cool and really appreciates his customers! My fave restaurant in Secaucus!

Falafel?
Barbara M.

We ordered $60 worth of take out last night centered around what we thought would be outstanding falafel and lamb kebab. The lamb was severely over-cooked , lacked any kind of seasoning and it was dry and nasty. I was so very disappointed as we had invited a special guest to sample your food. I visited the restaurant and enjoyed a lamb wrap weeks ago which was cooked to perfection. But this is so disappointing. I also ordered a Lamb wrap last night without tahini sauce. The same dry morsels of lamb were in the wrap and it included the sauce specifically stated that I did not want. Therefore I really couldn't eat it. The salads that accompanied the wrap and the meal were wilted and over dressed. The lettuce also was also gritty as if it hadn't been cleaned properly. The rice was also bland and unseasoned and pretty Al dente for my taste. Fortunately, spinach pies. the hummus and baba ganouj along with the pita bread was very good. But the falafel! It might as well of been pellets for a rabbit cage. They were dry, hard, over fried, and small. Not sure I'll ever get food from here again. I was so disappointed. Perhaps we didn't get your best food because it was at the tail end of your long day. I know we ordered around 8pm but my goodness, it was just awful. I will say you were efficient with the delivery and that's why I gave you at least one star combined with the two side orders and your warm pita bread.

Turkey bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a kaiser roll
Jessica B.

My fiance's parents were in from out of town and staying at the hotel across the street so we decided to meet here for breakfast. My fiance said that he has carried out breakfast from here before, but this was my first time here. The prices are extremely reasonable for their breakfast, a breakfast sandwich with bacon eggs and cheese is around $3.00. My fiance ordered BEC, I ordered TBEC and his parents both had over easy eggs and toast. You get to choose the bread for you sandwich and we both of us got our sandwiches on kaiser rolls. The food came our really quickly and looked pretty good. The food tasted good and definitely hit the spot. I would have liked more egg on the sandwich though. There was definitely more bread than anything else, but for the price I guess I can't complain. The service was OK, not great considering we were the only people in the restaurant. In my opinion, if you are looking for a cheap and quick breakfast place, this is a good option.

Takeput taboule
Steph S.

*This review is for the takeout option only* After having a really terrible day, my dad brought home one the best chicken wraps I have ever had. He also got the taboule. The chicken shawarma wrap is out of this world, the chicken is thin slices seasoned well with lettuce & tomato in a whole wheat wrap. The extra pickle adds the perfect saltiness to offset the intense flavor of the shwarma. The side was a little salad seasoned perfectly with Italian. I don't think I could speak for the taboule myself because my mom would not share with me. That speaks for itself how good it is, plus she said that the taboule was not salty like a lot are. Both meals were very generous portions at a great price! A little over $12 together.

3 stars for portion sizes that are enough to feed you for a whole day…read more.. Soo I was craving a chicken and rice platter drenched in white sauce. I know there's a million Halal spots popping up, and I will admit I'm very, very picky when it comes to platters. I miss the good ol' days on 53rd street in NYC... I came by around 10pm and was served quickly by a friendly employee. They have platters, burgers, wraps, wings, chicken tenders, fries, etc. I ordered the chicken rice platter (~$13.50). They cook the meat fresh on the grill and then you choose your toppings at the salad bar (olives, onions, peppers, tomatoes, etc.). It's a bit pricier than other places, but the portion size is huge. The container felt HEAVY lol. It's just a shame it went to waste because I really didn't enjoy the food. I only finished about half of it before I tossed the rest. The white sauce was almost flavorless and was VERY watery. The chicken wasn't as well-seasoned. No distinct spices or aroma. Every bite left me with a very greasy and salty taste in my mouth. The side salad was just okay. I was disappointed. The only saving grace was the rice... it was fluffy and the best part of the whole platter. Not sure if I came on an off night or...? Don't let my review stop you from trying. It might just not be the Halal spot for me.

This is definitely a place to bring your side piece... your main girl will never know. Unless your main girl is a TJ MAXX shopper, that's right across the street, in that case be cautious taking your side piece here.

Absolutely fire doner kebabs. Best I've had in the area!…read more Came here last year when stopped by the mall and it really hit the spot. So naturally, had to check it out again this time and try it again. I don't know what it is, but well seasoned meat with their crispy fries just works. The original German doner kebab with the mixed beef and chicken was incredible. It was juicy, perfectly seasoned meat with that signature vertical spit char, loaded into their soft, flavorful handmade waffle-style bread. Every bite was a hit. Also ordered the chicken doner box with fries. The fries were very crispy and seasoned well and the chicken was just as I remembered it. A flavor bonanza. Rich, aromatic, and very delicious What was really the highlight was the sauces though. The garlic sauce was creamy and addictive, and the spicy one had just the right kick without overpowering everything. Portions are solid for the price. Everything felt fresh and hot, and the staff was super friendly and quick even during a busy mall rush. If you're at the American Dream or craving quality halal doner, this is the move. Way better than your average kebab spot. This is premium. Will definitely be back for the crispy doner rolls and maybe the Doner Burger next time.

The food - delicious, packed with flavor. My kids were baffled how proteins they're used to eating (beef, chicken) could taste so differently thanks to unique spices and whatnot. The meal came to about $20 per person (no drinks, just the entrée) and while the 'Kabob Koobideh' was a generous portion, the falafel sandwich (for $15) is wildly overpriced (it's about $10 from Greek Town right across the street, never mind about $8 from Mamoun's just about two minutes away over on Rt. 17N). Happy to have tried it, would come back (while grumbling about the cost under my breath because I'm a crabby old man).

It's unfortunate that I have to post this as I feel despite us voicing our concern (multiple times) in person with the staff and also on the phone when ordering take out, the staff is not trained and do not take certain dietary restrictions seriously such as food allergies. After having a child who suffers from peanut and egg allergies, whenever we have dined or ordered from here as of lately, we have politely asked for certain food not to be served together and prepared properly. After expressing this, the staffs answer is rude and with an attitude and us being told "ok i'll just put it in a separate plate" after it being cross contaminated and served. Then during a take out order when we called to alert that there is an allergy, to please ensure the food is properly handled and packed separately from egg-containing items, we were told (specifically by Jaspreet) it is already prepared and packed, so the best that can be done is taken out and packed separately instead of adhering to the urgency of the matter and re-preparing the food. Our child broke out in hives due to their negligence in the past and I fear that their inefficiency to understand the seriousness of this matter will one day result in legal action being taken against this establishment if God forbid someone else has a reaction or worse a Fatality. My post isn't intended towards the quality of the food, it is more so to be heard and create awareness on this matter as it seems this establishment can care less towards your health needs. Update: We were contacted by ownership (Ishrath) and accused of being in the wrong and were met with disrespect and advised not to come to this establishment anymore as they cannot meet our "crazy demands." We should have been heard out, which was explained to co-ownership (Sobia) a few minutes after my review was posted, that this wasn't a personal jab towards the establishment however has happened to us on multiple accounts, specifically from staff member Jaspreet the past two times in a matter of two weeks. There was no apology on the matter, just defensiveness in a "sweet tone." This is more so a validation that despite us voicing our concerns multiple times in person, it has fallen on deaf ears and it is unfortunate that we have had to go to such extremes as posting this to be heard. Since my post, we see the attempt to have our post buried, and quite frankly hope it made a difference, albeit they have lost our business however we know the restaurant will still thrive. Still wishing them the best of luck and hopefully prevents any future consequence on this matter.

Lahore is a Pakistani restaurant which is honestly not common to come across (compared to Indian restaurants). The interior is nicely decorated and we were seated immediately. We got 2 appetizers, Aloo Papri Chaat and Gol Gappay. The Aloo Papri Chaat was cold, loaded with textures and flavors, and even some slight sweetness. It was enjoyable but not sure I would gravitate to this again. The Gol Gappay was beautifully presented with a similar flavor profile to the Aloo Papri Chaat. It's great for sharing and more of a playful appetizer. I've never had Karahi before and although maybe not the traditional version, we opted for the White Chicken Karahi. It was mild, savory and creamy. It took ~30 minutes to prepare as the menu states and they don't skimp out on the chicken. For the price point, I would say the portion is reasonable. The chicken was tender, buttery, and aromatic. My only complaint is that it wasn't served with anything so we had to add some Basmati Rice and Tandoori Roti on our own dime. I think it should come with at least one complimentary side dish considering it's an entree. We ended with a Kashmiri Chai. It's a pink-hued tea that actually gets its color from the chemical reaction between the green tea & baking soda. All this time, I thought it was rose! It was garnished with pistachios and had hints of cardamom and cinnamon spices which I enjoyed. Good try overall!
