Let me start by saying I've only been there once (tonight) and was only in the neighborhood because all the decent hotels were sold out (it's right across the street from the Red Roof Inn...the most depressing hotel I've ever stayed at). I had high expectations for this place but, unfortunately, it fell incredibly short. I came here on a Thursday night with a group of friends. There were 8 of us. Our waitress was very attentive and our food came out in a reasonable time. But the way it tasted made me wish it took longer to come out. Excellent service. Like, seriously excellent. We were greeted by the cook immediately upon entering. Then, after sitting down, the waitress came right over with menus. Despite being the only waitress and having several other tables, our waitress was attentive and friendly, cleared dirty plates immediately, and was there whenever we needed anything. I have done takeout from here a few times. It's good food at very reasonable prices. The chicken shawrma is good and the fries are plump and firm. TBH, this isnt exactly the most authentic middle eastern food you will eat BUT their service is friendly, food is good and prices are solid. I love this place. The owner knows what he's doing and takes pride in his food. The lentil soup, while different than what I'm used to, I think maybe because of the vinegar(?), is awesome. It's healthy too. My absolute favorite is the Fattoush salad with grilled chicken. It's unlike anything I've ever tasted. Food was decent. Portions were great considering I paid less then $7 for a meal (lunch menu) I ordered a chicken kabob wrap that came with fries...chicken was flavorable, however I did not enjoy eating the wrap. The chicken looked like a full breast was included and during each bite either I had a full mouth or lettuce and tomato then another bite of just chicken. First, delivery order was incorrect & driver also forgot an item. They made us wait for the order to be corrected and redelivered behind new orders. It took 45 minutes and we had to call for an update. Turns out the delivery guy left the food with security and didn't even call. He said he called, but there was no missed call from him even though he was able to call me and successfully get through when he delivered the food the first time. The food: Falafel Sandwich: Falafels were dry and tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. Also, there were pickles on the inside and it was wrapped in a flour tortilla--is this normal? I've NEVER had a falafel "wrap" in a flour tortilla. Chicken Shawarma: Chicken looked and tasted like the same chicken I buy from Costco, it was boiled or baked and then seasoned. Again, flour tortilla & pickles? If I wanted burritos, I would've ordered Mexican. Rice: a bit undercooked. Got a few chewy bites. Chocolate cake: A little dry. Store bought. Some cakes could be store bought and taste like they were actually made at a restaurant but this definitely tasted store bought. How this place got 4 stars is a mystery. It is definitely misleading. When I eat at a 4 star rated spot on Yelp, I expect something much more than ordinary and mediocre. ESPECIALLY for what we paid for this food. A waste of $35 I wish I could get back. Huge disappointment. Were these great reviews left by friends and family??? Sometimes you pay for food and the food is just "Ok" and you can live with what you paid for it. This little gem of a restaurant is tucked into an unassuming strip mall next to a Dunkin Donuts. There is always one guy cooking at the small open kitchen, and he owns the place with his wife, who waits on customers. The food here is consistently good, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and full flavors. I often order the chicken kabob for lunch which comes with a choice of soup or salad, a side of either baba ganoush or hummous with pita bread, a choice of one of their two rice preparations and a beverage. This is a great deal at $8.99, and a whole lot of food. The baba ganoush is great, some of the best I've had, but you will reek of garlic for the next 24 hours after consuming it, so be forewarned if you're on a date. I was in the restaurant picking up an order yesterday, and a woman who had just had lunch there was thanking them for making the best hummous she's ever had, and I agree with her. The pita they use is fabulous...soft and always warm. The salads are all delicious, and some, like the fatoush salad, make a meal, especially when topped with an order of grilled chicken. He uses a very assertive olive oil in his dressings, and it goes well with the full flavors of the other ingredients, especially in the Greek salad, with its very good quality feta cheese and the use of both red onions and scallions. The one criticism I have is that sometimes the grilled chicken breast is a bit overcooked, but this seems to be so prevalent in Middle Eastern and Greek restaurants that I've almost stopped caring about the issue. Sinbad's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is also a hookah lounge, but this is a restaurant, not a bar, so you will be asked to order food. Having finished a nice meal I went to this so called "hookah bar" with my girlfriend one evening to relax and have a nice cup of coffee and a smoke. Having been very dissappointed with other bars in the area i had high hopes for the hookah at this bar. However, i was informed by the waiter that if i did not purchase food he would not serve me a hookah. In my opinion thats like going to a regular bar and being denied a drink because you dont want an aweful basket of chicken fingers. To make matters worse the place was completely empty. Sinbad's food is a dollar or two more than the average middle eastern restaurant but you won't mind when you taste the food. Everything is made fresh to order. You can tell. The hummus is sensational. This the first establishment I've been to that doesn't skim you on pita bread. They actually may have given me too much! They lightly grill the pita which is a small but nice touch. The falafel is perfect. I've only picked up so I can't comment on customer service. You should come here. read more

The worst place for food and service! Went here for a meal w my sis and kids.... Took forever to get the waitress to to take our order and when she did she took it with an attitude. Finally our meal comes out and it was disgusting, what a waste of time and money....my nieces friend had an allergic reaction to the beef shawarma... We stopped here for breakfast the morning after a game at MetLife Stadium. Right across the street from our hotel so that was perfect. We filled the entire restaurant with all of our out-of-town fans so I know the waitress was VERY busy. She took a while to get to us but luckily the food didn't take too long considering the amount of people. My friend and I stayed at a local hotel for a conference. as such, there was not making restaurant nearby that was within a reasonable walking distance. we found the flyers for this restaurant at the hotel lobby and decided to try it out. It's located next to Wendy's in a strip mall. Upon entering the restaurant, it seems very simple. Very few decorations to make it seems like a Middle Eastern restaurant. We started out with the Ba ba ganoush (sp?). It was creamy and sweet, but not much of eggplant flavor. Not quite the same as the ones I had before. Main course was chicken thigh kebab...excellent. meat was juicy and cooked just right. would have liked a little more seasoning to the chicken though. Have been here several times and this past Saturday was my first as a Takeout. The food has always been very good on the taste, quantity and quality when pertaining to its value. We rolled up at Sinbad Cafe & Grill and immediately were a little put off by the somewhat edgy appearance of the place.
