My girlfriend and I just finished our meal at Sinbad and it was overall a great meal! I ordered the Shawarma chicken wrap with fries and she ordered the chicken kebab with a salad on the side. The salad sauce was great, as with the wraps, the portions of veggies, the flour, and the meat being very proportional and balanced. The taste wasn't overall distinct as the chicken was a tad bit dry, the food in general was overall great. My side order of French fries were also great, as they came out warm and crisp. I was staying in a hotel nearby and although I'm familiar with the Secaucus area, I had passed this restaurant many times. Until I saw the reviews of other yelpers, I would have never stopped. Sinbad Cafe is on Meadowlands Parkway just off Rt. 3, very easy to find and get back on your way. Ordered the Chicken Shawarma to go along with a Tabouli Salad. The chicken was great, it was the first time I've ever tried this dish. Tender strips of chicken in a light creamy sauce with a perfect balance of spices. It included a generous portion of yellow rice. The Tabouli salad had too much parsley for my taste, I thought it was going to be closer to a Shepard's salad at a Turkish restaurant. I never tried this dish previously. Prices are very reasonable for the portions and quality. Next time I'm in the Secaucus area I will be back for a sit down meal. read more

I just started working in the area and decided to give this place a try-service was quick and staff was friendly. I ordered the falafel wrap which came with fries. The fries were crunchy and tasty but the falafel wrap seemed more like a lettuce tomato wrap with one small piece of falafel in it, the sauce in it was watered down. Not sure if this was an off day as this was my first time here. Will try again and hope that the wrap has more falafel and a tastier sauce in it. read more

We were down for a game one weekend and should have been to Sinbad's for breakfast and lunch and dinner. Excellent service. Great and tasty food. I wanted a good cup of coffee and was offered a taste and it was better than Dunkin Donuts next door. We had the breakfast and I enjoyed the banana pancakes. Fresh bananas. I absolutely love this food. I order here once a week from work and I'd be ordering a lot more if I didn't live an hour away. The sauce is unlike anything I've ever had it's so good and compliments the chicken shawarma perfectly but I'd honestly put it on anything. Last week I was slightly upset because my order got mixed up with someone else's at work so I called the restaurant clearly sounding upset but the guy who answered (idk if he's the owner or manager or whatever) helped resolve it and delivered me a whole new order. I feel bad for being so upset and a bit hangry because he was super kind and handled it very professionally but it was because I'm always looking forward to this food every week. I literally look forward to it every week. I've never even been inside because my work break is only 30 mins but I'm going to make it a point to be in sooner than later and take an hour to check out the ambiance and get the full experience because I really love this food and even that service experience over the phone was outstanding. This little gem of a restaurant is tucked into an unassuming strip mall next to a Dunkin Donuts. There is always one guy cooking at the small open kitchen, and he owns the place with his wife, who waits on customers. The food here is consistently good, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and full flavors. I often order the chicken kabob for lunch which comes with a choice of soup or salad, a side of either baba ganoush or hummous with pita bread, a choice of one of their two rice preparations and a beverage. This is a great deal at $8.99, and a whole lot of food. The baba ganoush is great, some of the best I've had, but you will reek of garlic for the next 24 hours after consuming it, so be forewarned if you're on a date. I was in the restaurant picking up an order yesterday, and a woman who had just had lunch there was thanking them for making the best hummous she's ever had, and I agree with her. The pita they use is fabulous...soft and always warm. The salads are all delicious, and some, like the fatoush salad, make a meal, especially when topped with an order of grilled chicken. He uses a very assertive olive oil in his dressings, and it goes well with the full flavors of the other ingredients, especially in the Greek salad, with its very good quality feta cheese and the use of both red onions and scallions. The one criticism I have is that sometimes the grilled chicken breast is a bit overcooked, but this seems to be so prevalent in Middle Eastern and Greek restaurants that I've almost stopped caring about the issue. Sinbad's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is also a hookah lounge, but this is a restaurant, not a bar, so you will be asked to order food. I loved this place. I've heard about it for a while now and I finally popped in to receive a fantastic meal. Its a quiet little place with a great cook and great service. They're quick and really fulfill every great expectation. The owner was very sweet, as well as our waitress. She got everything correct and got it out quick so we could catch a movie after. I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The food was great, the Jordanian waiter needs to be happier. My friends my wife and I were there for breakfast on a very early morning. Maybe the waiter just woke up or had a bad night sleep. He was so out of it, when serving food and drink. My wife gave me a nudge:"he is not happy!" I was concerned of the food. Luckily the food was in really good amount for young people like us. We order the omlet breakfast. It is definitely more filling and money worth than Donkin donuts next door. I've been here a few times since I live in the area. For the most part the food has been okay.. Some meals really good, some just okay. One issue that has been common each time I have visited is that it takes sooo long to get your food. Whether it be breakfast or lunch, or even when it's not too busy, it just takes so long. It seems that they don't have enough cooks. For instance, thirty minutes for breakfast to arrive at the table is ridiculous. read more
