Overall, I had a great experience with this restaurant. I had the chicken shawarma sandwich, and it tasted okay. While the chicken in the sandwich had great texture, it was mostly bland. I did appreciate the lettuce and dressing in the sandwich, however. The fries on the side tasted good. What really impressed about this place was the service. The employee who took me and my family's order was really nice and answered all of our questions about the menu. He also gave us complementary hummus and pita bread. The hummus was really delicious and creamy. Overall, while the the chicken in the sandwich could use a little more seasoning, the service (and hummus) more than made up for it. I ordered this on Uber eats, BUT for it being delivered it held up pretty well, the fires were so crispy, which is so rare when getting food delivered. I ordered a gyro platter, a gyro sandwich combo, falafel and baklava. (Which was free due to a promotion going on at the time) Let me start off with my favorite, which was the spicy gyro sandwich combo it was delicious, the spiciness is definitely a must, brought out a lot of flavor in the meal, I think the gyro platter definitely lacked a bit in flavor(since we got the normal one)fries were good and crispy. The gyro platter was good but after trying the spicy gyro sandwich it was a little underwhelming compared to it. I've never had falafel but I didn't really like it, I tried with the sauces it came with, which were good but I guess I'm just not a falafel fan. Baklava was so good and crispy, not too sweet. I really enjoyed it. Sinbads is the best Mediterranean/Middle eastern/Greek food in the area. Great food for a great price. My go to is the chicken shawarma plate but I really like the spicy gyro, falafel and French fries. I always get 2-4 extra tiziki sauces as well. We have been holy land cafe loyalists for years, since no other Mediterranean place in town matched to their chicken shawarma sandwich... till now. It's different enough, yet equally tasty and will be another definite alternative, when we are craving Mediterranean food. My husband ordered the chicken skewer platter and I got the chicken shawarma platter. Both the chickens were flavorful, moist and tender. Portions were perfect for a meal. Good, clean, healthy, balanced meal. Wasn't too busy and we got our food quickly. Very friendly and nice owner and staff. We will definitely be going back so we can try all the things on their menu. I need to do the sandwiches next time. Will comment on those once I have tried it. I like how the menu is limited - they have pictures of the meals which is always helpful. Who doesn't love some good shawarma or gyro? The thing is, there are a lot of mediocre versions of these dishes so my expectations are generally pretty low. Sinbad's Grill blew those expectations out of the water - this is the place to go. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the gyro was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the falafel was almost fluffy - as opposed to the hard, overcooked versions you often find in restaurants of this type. I love falafel and have a hard time finding places that have good quality, if they serve it at all. This place is awesome! A small personable restaurant, where the owner served us. I came here due to the good ratings that I saw from other reviewers. It was an interesting location and I thought it would be busier, but the service is fast and has tables mostly for small groups. The menu is very simple and comes with photos behind each of the foods so you can tell what each item looks like. I got the chicken shawarma, it had very good seasoning and a good portion of food. In a good way, Sinbad's Grill reminds me of the shawarma joints you'll find all over Europe. The food comes out hot, saucy, and just the right portion. Throw in some fries into your sandwich and you have yourself a new friend. The better benefit was that the staff was much more nicer and friendlier than the folks yelling at you in German at midnight (and you can use their bathroom). It took me a few times to have this place grow on me. The first two times, I had takeout of chicken shawarma sandwich. Overall, it was good but for some reason the seasoning/flavor of the chicken was just a bit off (almost too-aromatic and flower-y). I dined-in for the third time and was much more glad to try the gyro. I also got the spicy gyro which was also delicious. The meats were moist and the baba ganoush was satisfyingly creamy and savory while I still pretended it was a healthy option. The rice was a little salty for my partner but I didn't mind it. As mentioned, the staff was friendly and the place was kept very clean and presentable. The only thing I'd suggest is that they probably take out one or two tables. While I appreciate their ambitious capacity, with so many chairs, it was hard to navigate around the tables especially with a high chair. They also might want to get some better soda cups and lids because the paper ones they had felt like they were going to deteriorate in about 30 mins. read more
