I've ordered from this place many times and more often than not, have been satisfied. Tonight I ordered and they sent me a clearly stake, dried up piece of cardboard, which did not come until more than 1.5 hours after I ordered it. When I called, the person who answered basically admitted what they did, said "were really busy what do you want me to do?!" and hung up on me! My family lives in the neighborhood and have been a customer for many years. I recently I ordered their special which is buy 2 pizzas get 1 plain cheese for free. I was told my order would take 40 mins to be delivered. Mind you I also live 5 mins away and after an hour of waiting I called to find out where my order is and was told they're waiting on the delivery guy. I said if my pizza is sitting around I don't want it to be delivered cold and they said it's not. They came maybe 10 mins later and our pizza was very hard and seemed over cooked. I've never complained before but it just wasn't good . We also ordered a salad and for what they're charging, the size of it was not worth it at all. I called the store to inform them that the pizza was hard and the next time we order if they could make sure it's not as well done and before I even got the chance to finish my sentence the lady who answered the phone started speaking aggressively and defensive towards me. " our pizza is always like this and you've ordered here before you know this by now and I'm not doing anything about it okay bye" and before she hung up I said that I didn't have any intent on asking for a new order or money back but I wanted to share my opinion since I come here and live in the area and so the next time I order it's not as well done and she just hung up the phone. This place took me back when I was in middle school saving money to get that pizza for $1.50. Of course that was t the price of this whole pie. What I love about this place the most was I requested bbq sauce pizza with pineapples... guy at the register tilted his head but smiled and accepted my order. First time there. Went in on Sunday morning. PROS: Friendly , attentive staff and fair prices for the area. CONS: I ordered a shrimp pizza to go: Extremely tiny shrimp that was not deveined. Took the pizza out of the bag and sat by my window at home: with the sun shining on it I was able to see every single shrimp was still uncleaned. Bread was barely cooked inside, cheese was a gooply goo of substandard, grease induced muck & the sauce deserves a name change as 'Tomato' was not what I was tasting. At $6.95 the personal pizza doesn't consist of more food than two regular slices, which any pizza spot in NYC typically charges $5.00, a 20% overcharge. None of the Specialty Pizza option caught my eye which made ruling out the Sandwiches, Pasta Mini Burgers that much easier. Owners, take heed my message. I love Singas fresh custmom made personal pies ! I m tired of those old slices that tastes like a rubber !!! Fresh Veggie pizza is my favorite !!! Even I'm not vegetarian ,... Very fresh and clean and nice service You know I saw here people arguing about Dani's and Singas...but im telling you it's not about the lines it's about more healthier food. In my original review I gave them an extra star for being one of the few businesses that deliver food in the neighborhood. Now I am taking that away after the last 2 times we ordered we had some issues. The first time we ordered through their website and one hour after we placed the order, we called to inquire the status of hour food and were told that they had never received our order, and that the issue was with the third party processing the online orders. I was cat sitting in Kew Gardens and wanted a slice. I stumbled upon Singas and ordered one. They don't do slices? Neat. OK, so I ordered a personal pie. The people were not friendly or engaging at all - but that doesn't bother me. I took my seat and surveyed a few odd characters hunched over their food - also a dad with screaming kids. Then I glanced out the window and saw a line down the block for Dani's Pizza. They were having some kind of promotion and doing fifty cent slices. The people in line, standing in the sun, looked so happy and there was even a smiling ice cream man doing his rounds. From the grim ambiance of Singas, I felt like an orphan peeking through the windows at some rich kid's Christmas morning. I thusly discovered a hilarious Mason-Dixon line running down Lefferts Blvd. dividing the oddballs from the socially adjusted. Never in my life have I seen such a disgrace to NYC pizza or pizza itself. Local chains usually imply that they've done we'll for themselves and thus expanded. From what I've seen I'm wondering how this came to pass? The people that work their don't seem talkative or friendly for that matter, and just kinda stare at you when you eat. Also their poor choice of location across from the areas successful pizza place that has been around for 40+ years. But even that can be overlooked if the pizza tastes good, but alas that is not the case. This pizza in a word is "Boring". What makes one pizzeria different from another is how the flavors blend. The dough, sauce and mozzarella blend together to make one of the most eaten foods in the US. Each pizza tastes different. But here..........I feel like I might as well just take the ingredients and just eat them as is. The flavors don't blend, you taste them all individually. Theirs nothing special, no flare just generic would be pizza. I might as well to go to the frozen food section. And these result have been consistent. I've gone their three times now and it's still the same, not even trying to improve. Unless you count the burger bar that appeared one day. And I won't even touch those. This place is the second worse pizza I've had, (the other two are in Massachusetts, though to be fair MA isn't a "pizza state"), but the only bad pizza I've had in NY. How they became "famous" is beyond me. Go across the street and get some real pizza. The consistently large crowd will speak for itself on how good they are. Upon approach, I noticed there were no customers. A warning sign? We ordered a $9 10" inch bacon pie and a $10 Alfredo sauce pasta with added mushrooms. Compared to the crowded pizzeria across the street, I jokingly praised Singas for having more available seats and better lighting. That's where the praise stopped. The pizza was surprisingly below average. "What the hell!" It tasted like one of those frozen pizzas you'd buy from the supermarket and cook in a microwave. Cardboard crust. The bacon tasted overcooked and fake. I definitely had better pizza (2 / 5). Definitely. While mixing the pasta, I noticed a single strand of hair in it. I lost it for a second. I continued looking for it, hoping it was just a tiny string of cheese, but my fear was confirmed. Nothing was done and we didn't want to wait for another. The pasta itself was average and on the bland side (2.5 / 5). I scraped some bacon from my pizza into the pasta for some more flavor. Two out of five stars. Will I return? I should've gotten a burger in the first place, but I might not even risk coming back next time. read more

We have been going to Singas since the 90s; started off with the Northern Blvd. location. Their pizza is unmatched. This is probably the only chain i've come across that uses fresh topics; everyone else, including Dani's uses some pickled veggies which are disgusting. My personal favorite are Singa's jalapeno pies. I introduced my relatives to them and this is all they'll eat when they visit us. read more

Singa's is ok pizza.nothing to go crazy over. However Singa's does make excellent french fries with their hamburgers. That's it.

This review is based on their burger combo deal: burger, fries and can of soda for $7.99. It was a damned good burger, made fresh. The fries while good are too thin for my personal preference. I felt the need to eat them with a fork. Good service/nice guys. I hooked 'em up with nice tip cuz I'm cool like that. I'll be back to try the pizza. read more

I ordered here a few months ago, forgot to write my review. I just got some kind of chicken pizza I don't really remember but it took a very long time to receive it from delivery. The delivery guy called that he was outside, I opened the door got the pizza and paid him. He started yelling at me in front of my house "no tip? I'm never delivering to you again! Don't ever order from me again!" Literally just yelling out at me because I didn't give a tip. I can't afford to give a tip I didn't have any money left. He was extremely horrible and rude. They use to give one plain free pizza when you order 2 pies with toppings. It had been for years now. When I call in my order for 2 pies with toppings (when I went to pickup), they told me no free pizza when I call in my order, only for online order and if I want to get the free pizza, I should have asked for it over the phone. It is really bad business practice, if one has to ask for free pizza when it is already showed on their menu that you can get a free pizza and you don't, it's false advertising.
