Eddie and Jonathan were professional and very courteous, and I would definitely recommend their services. In the bathroom, they cleaned and color sealed the floor and bathroom shower grout and made them look like new condition. The marble vanity was honed and sealed which improved the look. It did not fully restore given previous scratches and other damages. The kitchen granite was cleaned and sealed in which the results were good but not extremely noticeable. okay, here is the deal i think mr. grout did a good job in cleaning my floor grout, color sealing it and recaulking the bathrub BUT you must must must be specific in getting the written description of all the work being done i thought i was getting my grout in the bathtub cleaned and color sealed (just like the floor) from speaking with the owner but since it wasn't specifically listed in the description, i was told its not part of the job i guess that's my mistake for not reading through the description carefully i do think they do a good job but just make sure 100% what all the services that will be provided read more

Boy these fucking guys just won't give up on being awful. They're persistent with it! So, my first review was based on them doing a shit job, which the owner came out inspected and agreed was bad. He came to repair it, i confirmed with him that there would be no additional charge for them to fix their poor work. Today, December 9th, 2015, 3 MONTHS later they tell me i owe them more money and will be turned over to collections if not paid. A. This is the first i'm hearing of any outstanding balance. B. Fuck you. and C. Fuck you. I thought we had figured this out 3 MONTHS ago and man, they just keep on coming back being terrible. My landlord hired Sir Grout to fix the shower in my apartment. Although I don't even own the unit, I'm quite happy with the work they did. The grout and caulk that was completely blackened and grimy is now a clean gray that complements the tile color. They unexpectedly discovered that some of the tiles were loose and the drywall behind them wet, but they were able to replace the drywall and re-affix the tiles without a problem. I had to coordinate with the technicians to let them into the apartment and they were very considerate and accommodating. Overall, dealing with Sir Grout was painless and my shower is now a much more pleasant place to bathe. read more

These guys were really great! I needed my shower cleaned as it was moldy in some places and discolored. The glass block in the shower was also in pretty bad shape. Dan came by for an estimate. He's really nice, and he was quick and thorough. He even gave me 10% off because I found him on Yelp! When the guys came the next week to o the work, they were pretty respectful, and they did a good job. They came 2 hours early though, but it turned out okay. They also finished an hour earlier than expected. I would definitely recommend them! They were true to their quote, and they even gave me a lesson on caulking correctly :) read more

Ann came and spent 2 hours smoozing and going over what I wanted. She said they use no subs; all are employees of SG. A week later a crew came to refinish a pedestal sink: they were sub contractors. They did an ok job, but I would have paid less had I gone direct to them. The first week of December Ann came to my house to do an estimate. It was for caulking and re grouting the tiles on the tub as well as the floors in 4 bathrooms. She was on time, knowledgeable, and nice. I agreed to the price and we scheduled for the next week. Since I was doing 2 full bathrooms, a half bath, and vanity room, we scheduled 2 visits 3 days apart so we'd have use of one bathroom while the other was curing. Both of the men that came to do the work were on time and courteous. They worked 8 hours & 10 hours straight through. Hard work to do and very impressive. They cleaned the work areas and, most importantly, the bathrooms look great. They are not cheap. They did a first class job and you get what you pay for. I highly recommend them. read more

Very disappointed in both the sales call in my apartment rental as well as the lack of requested follow up on my complaint. I phoned and asked how much it was to re-grout my bathroom, what the process was and all the details on their service. Never once during my estimate did the sales woman tell me out of the gate its a $500 minimum for service in the home. While she was there she also tried up-selling me on redoing my tub with her, despite I had already hired someone, and her price was nearly double the competitors. I told her thanks but it was too high, she agreed and said she is told that often but can do nothing, and continued to write up the final quote and I said I was only interested in the grout and was not interested in paying $150+ to do 2 lines of caulk I knew my Husband could do, even me, for $10 bucks of caulk and 5 minutes of time. She said ok, and I asked about dates etc. Everything was set I just needed to call the office and confirm. Thats when they said it was $500 min to come out and when asked to speak to the owner or Manager not only did they not call me back- I asked this of both the receptionist but also the sales woman- they never called. Additionally, they always answered my calls during business hours, now that I was calling to follow up on no return call, for 3 days they never answered the calls during the week. (Clearly they have caller ID) This company does not service the client and has a very calculated way of quoting things, and you MUST pay $500 for them to come at all. Too bad because I was willing to do another unit if it went well that has 3 large bathrooms. In business more than half of it is customer service, which is how your business grows via word of mouth. I am not a fan of the people here, or their process. I found another company in the west suburbs, and its the 2 owners who do all the work themselves and were very competitive, as well as great end result, who I will review next!! Perhaps next time Sir Grout you will pick up the phone and do the tough work which is addressing what was a simple issue initially!! read more

Dan & his guys did terrific work! Dan is very friendly and thorough. He came promptly for an estimate to clean grout and re-caulk master shower & tiles and re-caulk sinks through the house, and it was comparable to other places. Service was scheduled within 2 weeks. Alex and John did a great job. Alex in particular was very friendly, professional, and helpful - giving me tips on how to maintain the appearance. They worked fast and efficiently, finishing in only 3 hours, less than the 4.5 hour estimate. They were also quieter while our baby slept when I requested it. My only concern is that they were over 1 hour later than given start time. They called with ETA only after I called the office for explanation. However, their work made up for this. read more

I called on a Wednesday morning and they said someone would be out the next morning. James showed up (a little late) Thursday morning and after careful inspection of my large shower he was refreshingly honest with me in that he didn't feel grouting would solve the problem. Because the actual marble base of the shower was not stable underneath he felt grouting might only last a few months to a year and recommended I buy clear silicon instead. So I did not use the service but (at least from Jim) I got an honest opinion about what service should really be done and I will contact them in the future with any problems because I feel I can trust their assessment. read more

More importantly, the service technicians arrived on the scheduled date, moved furniture and did a phenomenal job of restoring stone in the living area and two marble bathrooms. Wonderful experience. I called in several companies to see if they could clean my bathroom limestone, which is 20+ years old. Everyone else said it wasn't possible. Sir Grout gave me a different answer. Jasmin was fantastic at managing my expectations ahead time, letting me know what was and wasn't possible. He let me know up front that he could get my shower walls looking new but the shower floor would only be improved, not like new. I decided to go ahead with the work and he was right. I am really happy that I had the work done! Jasmin was patient, never made me feel rushed, answered all my questions and taught me the realities of living with limestone and how best to care for it. My neighbor referred Sir Grout to us. We had them in to give us an estimate on re-grouting our entry way, bathroom and laundry room. They gave us a price which I thought was a little high. After talking to our sales rep, he lowered it and gave us a fair price. The man who did the work was great - young, but super polite and very particular about the work. His work was excellent! My only complaints are that we weren't told that it would create so much dust throughout our entire house. Unfortunately, the cleaning ladies had just been there so that was a waste of money. The other slight issue was that the clean up after the job wasn't very thorough. I had to sweep the floors a few times to get all of the dried grout and dust off. They probably should bring a shop vac and clean up thoroughly. read more

Got estimate for grout sealing and cleaning floor tile in shower in addition to walls and caulking. When workmen came they said they couldn't do floor tile because grout line too high which should have been apparent to woman who gave estimate. Charged me 1/2 for doing floor but they did nothing to change appearance. I complained...another workman came out and he confirmed could not change appearance of floor tile. They did not follow up after that. They did do good job on rest of shower. Update, Dan came out, admitted error, came up with new plan for floor tile and did good job after removing old grout. read more

These guys were fantastic! Apparently I had silicone seal issues in my limestone shower that my tenants didn't mention (for five years!). The shower, niches, floor all needed a deep, thorough cleaning. It was incredible! Looked fantastic. My porcelain tile floor in the kitchen, looked brand new when they were done. Not only did I recommend them to my real estate agent, but I also want to bring them into my home to clean our tile and grout there. 9/22/18 I have signed a contract and put down a deposit to have this company come out and clean my kitchen and bathroom floors and apply a colorsealant to the grout. They were to have been here at 8 am with a 1 hour window. At 10am I called the sales rep and she says she can't reach anybody and doesn't know what's going on. I'm disgusted. I've used Sir Grout for two projects, shower tile cleaning in our condo and grout repair in our single family. The shower turned out fabulous and was looking brand new for the renters! The grout repair has been an ongoing issue due to poor construction and the house shifting after our gut rehab, but Sir Grout has come out 3 times now to fix the grout even though it's not their fault the grout is cracking and have only charged me for the original repair. The owner sent out an email recently to check on the work and make sure everything was looking good. When I told him we had a few more grout spots to be fixed he had a tech come out a few days later to fix the issue. Everyone I have dealt with there has been so nice and professional, it's a welcome change from so many contractors. I'll definitely be using them for all of our tiling needs. read more

My first appointment was cancelled due to flat tire from inspector lady, which was ok, as my schedule is flexible. I ended up sending photos and they quoted me based upon my photos. The grout on my marble bathroom floor was stained, but they were unable to get it back to its original white color due to not being properly sealed at the time of installation. They did the best they could, the guy had to hone the marble by hand. The inspector and technician were both very nice. read more

I am writing a 5-Star Review because my technician Kevin was amazing! After 2 scheduling conflicts with Sir Grout I was hesitant to proceed with their services. Kevin came and was so professional. He called prior to arriving letting me know he'd be at my home in 15 minutes and he apologized for all of the miscommunication regarding scheduling (even though he had nothing to do with it). My shower looks brand new. He explained what he was going to do to my husband, asked is we had any questions and did a fantastic job. When he was finished he went over what was done and advised us on how to care for the stone in the future. They did a fantastic job. There are two parts to this review. First, they cleaned and sealed the grout in both my bathrooms, and recaulked one shower stall. Everything looks as good as new. The second part concerns re-grouting a kitchen floor. Turns out that my kitchen floor was not installed properly 15 years ago and regrouting would not have solved he problem (I had suspected as much and this was confirmed by my condo's chief engineer). They quickly hooked me up with a wonderful general contractor and I got a whole new floor installed for a very fair price (and the gc did a great job as well). They showed up on time, were polite and hard working and helped me find someone reliable to fix a problem that wasn't of their making or in there line of work to fix. From my point of view they went way beyond what I would have expected. Great work guys! read more
