    BLT sandwich

I'm writing this as I'm eating because I don't want to forget a thing. I was thinking I wanted something better than McDs but not as extravagant as a breakfast club. Then I drove by Sissy's. Oh my goodness!! This was EXACTLY what I wanted. The staff is so friendly and attentive. I ordered the BLT with fried egg. This might simply be the best BLT I've ever had. The bread is so light and airy it's like it isn't even there. The bacon perfectly crispy and the tomato brings it home. Paired with sweet potato fries made for the perfect way to start my day. Plus this was no where near as expensive as an other breakfast place, but dare I say, soooo much better. Thank you Sissy's for being amazing.

Great ambiance, great vibes, great service, excellent, fresh, delicious food! Today I ordered three plantain steak sandwiches, one steak sandwich and their coconut lemonade. The food was incredible and the coconut lemonade was a nice accompaniment to the sandwich. It wasn't overly sweetened and tasted so naturally refreshing. I've had many steak plantain sandwiches but Sissy's truly delivers it super fresh and perfectly made! I swear I didn't even wait for our food because it came out quickly and it was piping hot. I encourage everyone to check out this cute spot! You won't be disappointed. They make their sauces house made as well. Their passion fruit salad dressing is truly unique! I really enjoyed my experience here. Thank you very much!

I've been curious about Sissy's and stopped to grab a meal to bring with me to Swedish Hospital for when I was visiting someone. It's really conveniently located to the hospital since it's only a few blocks away. The service was friendly. They have table service but you can also order from their counter for takeout. I wanted something simple for lunch and had been craving eggs so I got a bagel sandwich. It wasn't bad, but the bagel itself wasn't great. I'm pretty sure it was one of those bagels you get in bags of six from the bread section in the supermarket. Really doughy and soft, so that was pretty disappointing. I hadn't thought to ask about how they cooked the egg; I tend to like only scrambled but this was over hard, which was good since it wasn't runny. I do wish they'd cooked the bacon crispy as I'd asked--but this is an issue with every restaurant, that they don't cook bacon enough. I also got the tamales to have for dinner since I was spending the day at the hospital, and they were good when I got to eat them. They would undoubtedly be even better warm! I liked the green because they were spicier. It came with house chips--maybe plantains?--and they were good but the tamales alone filled me up so I didn't eat many of them. The place had a pleasant atmosphere, and I'd come back again. They don't have a lot of tables but I'd like to come in and eat in and have breakfast. It's possible they have outdoor seating when the weather is warmer but I'm not sure. I didn't have a problem with parking when I visited, but I could see it being an issue since it's solely paid street parking.

This place is AMAZING! Seriously 10/10. I am gluten sensitive and got the chicken sandwich on plantains and am still mind blown! I was scared it would be messy and hard to eat but it was pressed down to perfection. And it comes with 3 sauces which is always a win. The green sauce was the perfect amount of heat. This place is truly a hidden gem! The picture doesn't even do it justice.

After reading about this restaurant I believe in Block Club, I've been meaning to check it out so I did so yesterday for lunch. I appreciated how everything was made to order but I wasn't blown away overall with my experience. I wanted to check out the menu ahead of time but their site seems to be down when you click on menu. The tables they have inside are nice but it would be amazing to add some color to the walls to reflect the flavor/style of the menu. By far the Beef Empanada was amazing as was the accompanying chimichurri sauce. The rest of my order was eh. The cafe con leche was underwhelming as was the Mexican sausage (Chorizo) omelette. It was nice to taste the fresh veggies used in the omelette but it lacked some flavor. I also really wish they had salsas instead of the one jalapeño they offered. I do wish them luck as the staff was super friendly!!

Sissy's is a gem to the North Park neighborhood and we love coming here for brunch every Saturday. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and no matter what we try on the menu, it's always delicious. The chicken tortilla soup is the best I've ever tried! We love sharing the aborrajados as well, and can't go wrong with the empanadas - the veggie is my favorite. Their smoothies are also amazing and priced great - the banana wheat smoothie tastes like a yummy bowl of Cheerios! Not to mention the delicious cafe con leche! I highly recommend visiting here, it is all around a great dining experience!

First time here and my fiancé and I were craving Puerto Rican food. The place is in front of North Park and has street parking only! I wanted a jibarito but accidentally ordered the steak sandwich which is on ciabatta bread. Regardless, the sandwich was good and Filipino. I got it with a side of plantain chips which wasn't oily at all. My fiancé got the smoked salmon bagel which is pretty basic but very filling.

Red Chilaquiles. My husband added steak. The sauce was good and flavorful, but a little heavy on the salt. Otherwise everything was good

I love that is a nice addition to north park! Food was delicious! Definitely will go back! Cute and simple decor. Has a nice selection of food. Service was great and staff friendly.

All very good It was my first time here. The service was very attentive. The ambiance was efficient and obviously very clean. Even though the restaurant is located on foster, the neighborhood is quiet and charming. I ordered the Breakfast BLT, very filling, inexpensive and well presented. I will certainly return.

This is one of best sandwiches Ive had in a long time. The pork tenderloin was fried in buttermilk to the perfect crunchy texture w/the interior pork tender & moist. Add the green apple coleslaw for a great crunchy texture, the yellow mustard to add the perfect vinegary flavor & you have an awesome meal. This comes w/fries cooked to an excellent crunchy texture. They have a pretty extensive menu but this sandwich was so dam good I'm sure I will order it again. Yolanda was the server in Falcons. She did an awesome job being the only person working the dining room at the time. Look at this menu selection. There are so many items but you know how it is when you find something that is for me near perfection you know anything else you order will not live up to what you had. You will be left thinking that you had stayed w/the original option. Like they say once you've had the best why try the rest. Maybe after eating it multiple times I will be willing to try something else.

They offer a student and teacher discount during the week, but even without it, the prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. The owner-chef, who previously worked for Eatly, also serves a variety of pasta dishes and gelato. They have a rotating soup menu and seasonal specials. During November, you don't want to miss the thanksgiving sandwich. I'm looking forward to finally trying the gelato this summer.

I'm very disappointed with my experience with JB's Deli today…read more I ordered two Reuben sandwiches and a Cobb salad, with a total bill of approximately $65. The Reubens were OK, although I found them to be fairly dry. More concerning, however, was what happened with the salad. The Cobb salad came with two packets of blue cheese dressing. When I opened one and put it on the salad, I noticed that the color looked unusual. I checked the packet and discovered that the Best By date was November 23, 2025, nine months past the date. Obviously, I did not feel comfortable eating the salad and had to throw it away. It also left me questioning whether the other food I received was handled appropriately. I am now concerned about whether the Thousand Island dressing served on the Reubens was also expired. I attempted to contact the deli to give them an opportunity to address the issue. The first time I called, someone answered but there was dead air and then they hung up. I called again and explained the situation to a woman who answered. She apologized and asked me to hold a moment. I waited on hold for 10 minutes before giving up. When I called back again, no one answered. Mistakes can happen, but serving a customer two dressing packets that are nine months past their Best By date is a serious food-safety and quality-control issue. What has made the experience even more frustrating is that, after spending $65, I have been unable to get a meaningful response from the restaurant. For this reason, I will be disputing my credit card charge and will not be returning to JB's Deli. I hope management takes this seriously, reviews the dates on their prepared foods and condiments, and addresses how customer food-safety concerns are handled.

I decided to come to Beard & Belly since I had it bookmarked and it was close to where I was. We were able to get seated right away and received outstanding service. My wife ordered their Chicken & Waffles which I don't see on the menu anymore. This dish was really delicious. The chicken was seasoned and fried perfectly. It came with hot honey so it added a little bit of heat and sweetness. I ordered their Red Eye Pastrami. It came with pastrami, a fried egg, cheddar cheese, Dijon and greens. All in a ciabatta bread. I will admit though, "coffee & hot sauce" were in parentheses. I didn't taste neither in this sandwich. Did I not understand the assignment? Was I supposed to order coffee and then put hot sauce in this sandwich. Regardless, the sandwich definitely hit the spot. Don't think I've ever had a sandwich with pastrami and eggs before. I've been missing out. The ciabatta bread was also very soft. Such a perfect bread for this sandwich. It also came with hash browns. They had a tasty seasoning on them. Salty, but tasty. They offered garlic aioli or ketchup with these. Ketchup is probably the way to go. Really difficult to earn with the aioli, the hash browns fall apart if you try to dip them in the aioli. I can't wait to come back.
