Update again. After the whole bad experience with delivery and stuff, after waiting weeks for the my first statement to come in the mail I get a call from a collection agency saying I'm PAST DUE!! Sit N Sleep entered the wrong address. Not sure how that happened when on my paper work it's correct, So now I have to explain to the collection agency what happened. Called Sit N Sleep today to let a manager know and they told me I would get a call Saturday from a manger. I don't know what can be done at this point SO IRRITATING! Only rating two stars. The store experience was amazing. However we were told that a phone call was going to be made the night prior to schedule and apt to drop off. Woke up this morning no phone call so I thought I would check in. Come to find out I was not on the delivery list and there were NO deliveries being done today. SMH because I would have taken my business else were and still might. Spent pretty penny on a mattress and now I can't don't get it until next Saturday, irritating as I was going to get a new bed frame and all this morning. I was asked to leave a yelp review and this is it, was not happy with this situation at all. I was told in store that Sit N Sleep is all about customer service... well this shows a lot when I don't get my mattress until a week later and all that was said was sorry! I was in the market for a new mattress so I decided to stop by Sit 'n Sleep. As soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted immediately by a sleep consultant. He introduced himself, as Wyatt Deloney. I told him what I was interested in, and from there he guided me over to a machine that maps out your pressure points as you lay down. From there the machine suggests what type of mattress support is best for you. From there, Wyatt showed me several beds in my price range. He is very knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. He didn't hound me, as he let me take my time, and narrow down the selections. When I got down to the final two, there was a significant price difference. He didn't push the more expensive mattress on me though, like many sales people would have. He let me make my own choice, and lay on the mattresses as many times as I needed to, in order to make the best choice for me. I ended up choosing the more cost effective one, but it was a tough choice. I appreciate that he let me make the choice myself though. I was very impressed and pleased with the selection of mattresses at the store on Newport Blvd. in Costa Mesa. The manager, Chris, was knowledgeable about all the various brands, and not at all pushy. He was super helpful in helping me make a decision. I purchased a NECTAR, and I am very happy with it. Chris made several suggestions which I followed, and which were right on target for what I needed. The paperwork was completed, and the mattress was delivered on the right day with a notice the day before and a phone call on the day of delivery giving me a time when it was to arrive. This was one of the best retail experiences I have had. Good Company, good product selection and they did exactly what they said they would do. read more

Super friendly, knowledgeable, no-pressure Art helped us pick out a great mattress. We started shopping at Macy's but couldn't really tell a lot of the mattresses apart, and the sales associate wasn't too informative. With the wider selection and Art's help we finally found a hybrid mattress that felt great - a noticeably more comfortable fit that worked for both me and my honey! Great experience! FYI: there's not much negotiating in the price of a mattress, the price is set by the manufactures, I shopped a few different places and was told the same thing. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They have the most deplorable customer service I have ever received at any store ever. Not only are the sales people rude, unhelpful and uneducated about the mattresses they sell, they are extremely unwilling to work with you on returns or exchanges UNLESS you bring in a friend who is also buying a mattress and then they might consider waiving their ridiculous 20% "restocking fee". They've gotten my address incorrect on 2 deliveries now and they refuse to work with my schedule even though I only live a few blocks away from the store. This place should be closed down. If you are buying a mattress, there are plenty of other stores with better options for mattresses and more knowledgeable sales people. Do not waste your time at Sit N' Sleep. read more

My girlfriend and I are looking to get our first mattress together. We have shopped around over 20 stores in the Orange County area looking for the best mattress/deal. Once you walk into any mattress store (such as Ortho Mattress or Orange County Mattress) they always FORCE you to buy buy buy! SIt & Sleep was on the opposite end of the spectrum. Jennifer helped us out and she was by far the best sales-person I have ever worked with. She was patient, friendly, and willing to find a mattress suited for our needs. When we first entered the store, she greeted us and told us to look around first before asking any questions. This was a great way to give a couple of name brands a try and then consulting with her about our needs. After a little over 2 hours of trying out beds and bases, we finally came to the conclusion that we fell in love with the Aireloom Mattress with the adjustable base. We wanted to shop around to see if we can get a better deal at OC Mattress, since that was where we originally saw the mattress. I met with Greg over at Corona Del Mar OC Mattress and he ignored us. Maybe because he didn't think young adults were looking for a $6000 mattress, well that was your loss buddy. He was condescending to us and stood by his word that Sit & Sleep had all low end models and they could definitely beat their price. He was wrong on both parts. Jennifer informed us that she could beat their price by $100 PLUS she'll throw in a load of extras, like extended legs and casters. OC Mattress was selling the Aireloom for about $3800, when Jennifer gave it to us for over $1000 less than that. As for the Adjustable base, OC Mattress was charging roughly ~$3500 before tax, when Jennifer gave us one of their models for $1000. Does all the same features with the extended warranty. We ended up getting the Aireloom Mattress, 2 Aireloom Pillows, the Adjustable Base, the Hypoallergenic casings, along with the Tencel bed set for a great price, we probably saved about $2000+. I am highly satisfied and Jennifer was extremely patient with us. She never rushed us and encouraged us to take our time. I highly recommend Sit & Sleep in Costa Mesa for any of my buddies in the area looking for a new mattress! read more

Didn't need nor want anything terribly fancy, just something cost efficient, comfortable, and made by a reputable company. Now I walked in to the place next door, whose name we won't mention but lets say for the same bed I bought from Sit and Sleep, they wanted double for, and as nice as the lady may have been, she didn't know anything about anything. Now the process with Art was simple, said what I wanted, he offered a few beds, gave me test bed, and a price, signed the papers and cash on delivery here is my new bed today. Came in here to get a new mattress since I had been sleeping on a hand me down mattress for the last 6 years or so. Was greeted by Chris the manager when we arrived. He asked questions about sleeping habits and preference and pointed us in the direction we were looking. So, we decided to buy a new mattress to replace our old Sleep Number mattress which over many years had lost its ability to provide a good night's sleep. I realized right away that mattress technology, like everything else, has changed and changed again since the last mattress we bought. We decided to do what I'm sure many people do and went to Sit 'n Sleep. Our goal was to see what is new in the world of mattresses, certain they would have a good selection to test and choose from. In hindsight, I am glad we did because it helped us sort through the nutty combinations of new and improved coils springs, gels, new fabrics and foams...who knew. We were fortunate to be greeted at the Costa Mesa store by Floyd Ramey, the store manager. His knowledge of everything regarding "sleep technology" was both impressive and helpful. He quickly assisted us in narrowing down our choices. As far as sales techniques go, Floyd's was very relaxed and honest. We had the ability to purchase whatever we wanted in the store, but he made it clear that he was there to help us find exactly what we needed. His personable approach and assistance lead us to make several choices that worked for us and we confidently made the purchase. We arranged for a very convenient delivery schedule that was tailored specifically to our needs. The whole experience was extremely easy and satisfying. Ask for Floyd if you're looking for a bed or any accessories! Floyd was incredibly pleasant, knowledgeable and fast. He used their sleep study machine and asked about our general budget then showed us a few options that would best fit our needs which made the process so much easier and quicker. He did offer upgrades and luxury items but never pushed the sale. We ended up buying our mattress, box springs, a mattress and pillow protection system and 2 new pillows From here and we got a great deal. They delivered our items quickly and were great but we did get the wrong size pillows. When I called customer service she said there was nothing they could do and that all sales were final but I called Floyd who immediately ordered us the right pillows and made the return process super easy. I bought an expensive mattress almost 4 years ago and from the gate there was a large dip in it .. they offered to send aomeone to determine if it was defective.. apparently is was within a half inch of it being defective .. so I have been sleeping on it cause well it's all I've got .. and it's gotten so bad I had to buy a topped hoping that would help and well NOPE so now literly all this time I've slept horribly cause nothing was resolved.. also they sold me a defect yet if it was returnable they charge a 200 restock fee .. I'm sorry but it isn't restockable except to a garbage dumpster .. I broke my back in 6 places a few years back and have had awful back pain these last 4 years .. and i have not be able to afford another grand to buy a mattress and i feel totally let down by sit n sleep .. pretty embarrased when someone lays on it and the roll into a huge crater ... read more

Back in April my husband and I purchased a tempurpedic mattress without testing it out since stores were closed due to covid. We explained to the sales lady over the phone our needs and she highly recommended the lux adapt. After about 2 months we realized that this mattress is not firm at all, in fact even softer than our old mattress. We tried calling the sales person who helped us, and were disappointed to hear that our options were significantly limited with very little understanding. Well, today I finally walked into the sit n sleep in Costa Mesa and John helped me from the moment I said hello. I explained to him what happened and what we needed and before I could even finish my sentence he knew exactly that the mattress that the lux adapt was not a good choice for us and he had many different options that would work much better. Well, right there I knew I am finally speaking to someone who gets what we are looking for... but not only that, he acknowledged that buying a mattress over the phone and not testing it out is very difficult and he showed so much patience and understanding. His knowledge about everything in the store was superior by leaps and bounds and I was quickly able to make a decision and we are so excited and happy!
